Glimmer's character flaws were well written and consistent throughout season 6, but the other characters seemed inexplicably blind to her faults. I'm not sure why. Acknowledging that she still had weaknesses to move past would have made for a much more believable and sympathetic story.

I'm okay with most of it, since she's clearly a natural prodigy and being taught by an expert, but it was pretty disappointing that none of her abilities were put to use in the finale beyond a simple cloaking spell. Why make her so powerful if they're just going to nerf her into oblivion whenever the stakes are raised?

I'd be willing to accept that explanation if it was presented. It'd be a reasonable way to cut down her power levels to something more balanced. For now, though, a lot of it feels like weak writing. Here's hoping we get to understand her better in season 7.
