I like the idea that the the badguys have already won in Kyuranger, and the Kyurangers are sort of like a resistance, but I'd honestly like to know exactly how that happened. With 45 years worth of Sentai teams that constantly vow to defend Earth no matter what, and every single team up or crossover reaffirming that Sentai always come to the rescue when the Earth is in danger, how can they logically explain how some new villain team just swooped in and took over the Earth? It's just another alternate continuity unless crossovers are involved. All we know is that it's set in the far future, implying it's like centuries from now. Looking back at the staff from last thread, I enjoyed a bunch of the episodes this writer did, plus the music is gonna be amazing because of the Magiranger/Gokaiger guy being on board.
The actors are all pretty good looking as well. Green looks like MAO's little sister or something and the 4 suit actor rangers are interesting. The android girl is cute.

Can't wait to see the first PV and hear the theme song.

Gokaiger memorably spoils the endings of Jetman, Timeranger, Zyuranger Abaranger and one other random one. If you really pay attention it spoils a plot point or two in a few others as well. It doesn't even cross over with Goseiger (that was done in the versus movie.) Outside of Jetman and Timeranger you probably shouldn't worry about spoilers anyway.

Japan has different beauty standards than the west, in Japan really huge buff people are considered scary looking, or even flat out ugly if they're muscley enough. That's why most big buff characters in toku are usually villains, like the wrestler Tanahashi appearing in Ex-Aid as a movie monster. Bara is strictly considered a fetish in Japan to find attractive.

The key decisions are from the producer, not the writer. The latter has to accomodate to the former's commands. Arguably a competent writer knows how to adapt to the studio demands but there has been an enviroment of apathy and defeatness for a long time on Toei hero division, the classic writers are burn-out and the new writers tend to be hacks from the anime industry. Simply nobody cares, except for Bandai's accountants.

Kyuranger kicking the table may bring new airs to the hero division though. The staff is allowed to do something different for the first time in many years

I wouldn't say that Takeuchi is typecast but he's been rather limited and stagnant in his suit acting as of late.

His range as a suit actor shows when he's loose and has input on how the character that he's doing fighting style and characteristics should be. Gosei Red and Gokai Green are prime examples of that.

The story, most likely not. But the quality of the in-suit scene, very likely. Suit actors have easily recognizable styles and motions, they work together with the face actors to develop the character. The writers or director aren't the ones that add personality to characters, the actors and suit actors do. If it were after the end of a show, switching suit actors might not be a huge deal since returning appearances are short and easy to copy mannerisms for, but during a show that would have a huge impact on the way a character acts and behaves in suit.

Imagine Beet J. Stag if he didn't pose and posture and wander around doing silly things in the background. Imagine if GokaiYellow never cocked her hips to the side or twirled he sword casually, or if GokaiGreen couldn't do silly pratfalls of jokey comic relief poses. What if KyoryuBlue didn't do any wrestling moves or flex muscles while fighting.

You have to remember, tokusatsu is descended from kabuki theater. Japanese theater places incredible importance on movement, even the slightly twitch, pose, or gesture has precise and important meaning. Suit acting is a much harder and more important job than many people realize, and without that discipline and dedication, a suit performance falls flat.

Besides Don, Ahim was my favorite character in Gokaiger. Yui Koike did a amazing job playing the character and I like how even though Ahim was refined and graceful, she still managed to be kickass when needed be and didn't have to change into a whole different personality.

This scene was that damn good that a similar plot was used for Kasumi in her redemption episode in Ninninger.

I'd say so, at least in recent years. Even fucking Ahim the prim-and-proper princess ended up getting into the thick of things more than Amu, probably because Yui Koike is far less of a diva than Haruka Tateishi.

It's more than that, though. Tateishi always looks like she'd rather be -anywhere- else than wherever she is at the moment both in show and in promotional photos. Her smiles always look incredibly forced and insincere and her general attitude implies a lack of passion for anything about the job but the paycheck.

Each crystal requires 4 crystals (either dropped or purchased) from each of the different events going on.

For example the 3rd one needs:

No. 50: Buy for 1500 swords on GoGoV event
No. 68: Buy for 1500 guns on Turboranger event
No. 74: Possible drop from Timeranger event levels
No. 79: Buy for 1500 wands from Magiranger event

Once you get all those you can get the reward for that one row. You can see what you have and where to get what you are missing by clicking the bottom left area on the home screen and then viewing your crystals.

Also try to do a draw on the new chest. If you take the new Legend Dragon Ranger or Ninja Red, you get an extra loot box at the end of the event levels. (Not sure if you get 2 if you take both, only have NinjaRed).
