>Kamen Rider Ghost Episode 16 Preview
>yfw we start getting more transformation braces because of Necrom
Don't forget the inevitable premium bandai black version Igor will be using.
But it'll be cool if Ghost's set up turns out as a success, multiple Riders in Q1 with the same belt and their personal transformation item sold with something else and then a bracelet for the Q2 guys.
Specter getting an upgrade alongside Ghost's final form is the more surprising bit though.
There's only one theme you need.
>It wasn't a track suit until recent movie appearances you retard.
It was a track suit since halfway through the original series.
That said, all modern recreations of the white gloves suit seem to mess up his chest, which should go under the belt like in the original suit, not puff out all over the place like now.
So is there a name for this outfit? Is it some motorcycle gear? What is he wearing...
Rescue Force has some baller intros
They don't have quite as many squibs as they used to sadly. It seems that they try to do them when they have time and are shooting in a place where they are allowed to use pyrotechnics, but otherwise they just add them in CG.
They still do the smoking surfaces with potassium chlorate as far as I know, which is some nasty stuff.
so... finally started Wizard
>not a loli fan
>start watching wizard
>start looking forward to all Haruto-Koyomi scenes
>not enough lolimancy in this show
Anon was right, so much wasted character development potential.... also I'm disappointed /krg/, why haven't you told me about "Just the Beginning", best OST I've heard in years
It's Just the Beginning [of raincoats].
Some friends and I are thinking of starting a Kamen Rider/ General toku podcast or YouTube discussion series.
I've never seen one before so it could be a new thing. What do you guys think?
I like S.I.C's idea by making it look like it had scales.
And making him a literal Dragon as well.
Ugh.... watching Wizard is practically the producers saying "We know what will make an awesome Kamen Rider, but we won't do that"
It's like watching someone steal defeat from the golden jaws of victory
The odd mix of great ideas with the worst execution, polar opposite ideas of how to write the characters, forgetting how to write the characters.
It also had the oddest rumors because outside a dice element in the secondary and that we over six months later did get something else from it, fuck all happened in any shape.
>>not a loli fan
Don't worry, she's not in the series that much because of her conflict of schedule.
Anyway, I watched some of her old Passmo videos. Is she actually retarded? Hard to tell if she's just goofy or has brain problems. I still like her though
I remember listening to the Ryuki episode of Igadevil's podcast, but that ended up being more about fandom in the early 2000s which was, well...
Looks more like a villain design than anything else.
Seemed like Ryuki was some sort of last straw for him.
I've only listened to one of them, Rider Club Radio, and they're all right.
There's a similar podcast to them that I also like, but instead of Kamen Rider it's about
One of them were the magic setting was similar to Hibiki and the Oni's with 5 Riders in show, only two of those got mentioned in the rumors. A female witch who would appear first and the other had a summoner theme iirc.
Wizard was also rumored to use a staff as his main weapon.
There was also a rumor about a dice Rider that might have been early Beast going by his weapon.
I am still pissed we never got Kamen Rider Witch. You think that would be the one thing they'd do for an Extra Rider in Wizard.
But then we ended up not only gettingnone of the ugliest female Rider suits in the franchise, but also one of the ugliest Rider suits in general.
One thing I like about Ghost is how they went with the most obligatory Rider names a season with its motif could not do without.
I still have a sneaking suspision Gaim is part of the reason they had to drop multirider idea since it became this big return to mutiple Riders. And then at the last moment they just went "fuck it we're getting five Riders anyway since we have a storageroom full of shitty Mage suits we're scrapping anyway"
And why overcomplicate things when you the thematic names sounds fine.
I'm just disappointed that the actual toy doesn't do much. It only has two pins in it so it only recognizes Necrom itself, Grimm, and Sanzo. Put any other Eyecon in there, even Specter's, and you get a generic sound.
Necrom doesn't even get his own weapon. He's apparently strictly hand-to-hand in his normal form and uses weapons that are part of his suit in Grimm and Sanzo. That's neat, don't get me wrong, but the Mega Uloader has such a great voice and it feels like it's going to waste.
Are there any official suits that are worse than Kamen Rider Mage?
Practically every Gaim suit that wasn't Kachidoki, Baron Mango, Zangetsu, Duke or Sigurd
Decade and Diend Complete
Fourze Ski states
Gold Infinity All Dragon
I was really not expecting it to be that good. I had just finished the ZX movie and figured ZO would be half clipshow too. Fucking phenomenal. The "I'm new to Rider, what should I watch first" debate is closed forever.
You should go onto watching J as well, it's Amemiya's other Rider movie, it's great while not as basic a Rider tale but none the less completely worth watching. It and ZO are both must watch movies.
Most Kamen Rider cosplay makes me feel uncomfortable.
forced possession is the best trope
I got really excited when he appeared. I thought Kitaoka/Zolda was making a cameo but I was very wrong.
Kitaoka's actor is too busy with his boy band
>also featuring: Kabutoraiger, Gills, and GaoBlack/The fedora Grongi
I don't remember Kaito being so.. sassy.
Hawktiger just looks like one of their friends who got roped into doing this. He isn't even a Rider fan. He doesn't really know what Rider is aside from what his friends told him.
>Put any other Eyecon in there, even Specter's, and you get a generic sound.
Ghost and Boost make it say Ghost, but are you serious?
My tips for if you start a podcast because I've seen far too many bad ones. I had a radio show for about 3 years if that gives any credibility to my advice.
>Never, I mean never, eat or drink during your podcast. I've seen people start off their podcast by crunching on a bag of chips and chugging soda. It's extremely unprofessional.
>Don't breath into the mic for the love of god and get a cheap 5 dollar pop filter as soon as possible.
>If you ever show video of yourself please show proper hygiene. I hate seeing dirt under people's fat fingernails and some graphic tee shirt on.
>Have structure. When I listen to podcasts I don't want it to be some guy having random conversations with his friends. You can comment on news, but don't have the conversations be the whole podcast.
I'm sure there's more, but that's all I have off the top of my head.
>It was the only good part of the show.
>What the fuck is bogleech
Used to be a pretty decent writer and bug guy, but sold his soul to SJWs for some nasty pussy and now lives in a hovel full of insects and old (OLD) toys.
Nigga, Orange Arms was awesome. Knuckle and Kurokage as basic as they were, were still awesome. I'd ass CJXtreme to your list since Gold Xtreme was better.
>watching Shin Kamen Rider
>Shotaro Ishinomori shows up
as some kind of spy
Just finished agito, are the movies worth watching? I didn't like the actual series that much
>kaGAMI and a few may show up and say a few words
Ehh, you got a better chance of it showing up in BW Genesis. I honestly doubt anything from HBV's survive, no matter how psuedocanon they may be.
It's just, hard to care at this point...
I remember watching videos of Kamehameha and Santa in Ganbarizing and they just had generic attacks shared with Ghost's base form---Kamehameha punches shit and Santa uses the GanGan Sabre. Good to see Galileo is getting his own animations.
>Some pleb group using tripfags promise Hibiki subs for months last year
>Fucking nothing except for a short teaser
>An Anon comes out of nowhere
>Already up to episode 8
You're my new favourite subber, Metronome.
There's two kinds of live shows: Intentionally recorded ones, these are usually in theaters, and if not, they'll be at very large stages, kinda like concerts. Those ones also usually have bands and singers relevant to to the show, like Gackt appearing at a Decade liveshow or Inoue himself coming down in a feathery outfit to sing Ride the Wind.
The other kind are stage shows, which are much more common, usually recorded by fans, and are definitely quite fun, you can find them usually at amusement parks in Japan.
Thanks for the info! Maybe I can find some fan recorded park shows somewhere. I wish there were fun super hero stage shows like this in the US! They look like they're so much fun to watch!
People post clips and videos from them all the time here. I think the Decade Live and Show was the only one I was actually IN that people linked, however (I was the suit actor for G3).
They're definitely a spectacle to say the least, a lot of the personality people miss out on in the shows you'll see more of on stages because they don't have a narrative to limit them, it's the episodic Kamen Rider shows without any actual forward-moving plot we rarely truly get anymore. The most fun I definitely had was during the Decade ones, since while all mooks are fun to play as, Shocker Combatmen take the cake. It's a personality-less personality that anyone can do after a little thinking and practice that's always entertaining to watch.
There are tons of them on youtube. They're really fun to watch.
This is actually a repeat routine, they did this at a bunch of shows. I'm amazed only one recording ever really surfaced.
I was going to be Nadeshiko in one of them. While Precure frequently has female actresses for stage shows, Rider unfortunately lacks that benefit most of the time.
Nah, not really. I'm not an ugly otaku or something but I'm a pretty plain Asian. Takaiwa is prettier than me, for example. I only got chosen because of the stunt actors in my former "troupe" I'm not exactly bulky. It was a toss-up between me and the guy who almost always goes for doing Den-O but he ended up managing to get OOO. The only reason the choice came up was we most likely were not going to get any actresses in the area at the time. That circumstance changed though so... I don't know who I was for that show. Might have been a baddie, but I can't remember.
Why is ghosts belt voice so shit.
>mfw the sunglasses gasher
Anyone else watching The Daguva is a Part-Timer?
It's not as anecdote ridden as most likely actual television stuff is, but I think there is one pretty interesting moment I can think of.
>We got a new guy in the "troupe,"can't remember his name but if I find it later I will post it
>This was some time around W, for time reference
>Apparently he got noticed for his dancing and martial arts skills in a local exhibition, got offered stage stuff early on and if he did good there, he might get in contact with JAE (The guys who do stunts for the show, I think Sonny Chiba founded it or was a big part of it, or a similarly named one)
>Said the idea was mostly just to test how he did in suits, supposedly if it went well enough they'd bring him in and relegate him to most likely cheapy mook roles and later possibly monster roles and maybe a Rider or Sentai when he's 30 or so
>Is set up and given the practice and choreographical information for being W himself
>Takaiwa himself was actually at the show, apparently he was invited by the guy who set it up
>Show goes great, kids are happy, people were really impressed by the new guy's work
>When I was out having a smoke I spotted him talking with the agent and Takaiwa, from what I heard he was hired right on the spot after that
>Ended up doing some MOTW roles in OOO, did some stuff in Sentai, and has been doing Garo stunts since the first Ryuga I show I think(?), it's been a while
>According to a mutual friend he's getting into a choreographer deal soon for some action movie, apparently Sakamoto's gonna be assisting him, so look forward to that in the future if you like his stuff
I kind of like the Sunglasslasher, mostly the "Megamabushi~" it does. I wish the Ghost Driver had that kind of personality.
Eh, the first episode was alright. Seems like a standard Japanese comedy. Some characters have potential, though.
Ha ha, this was two weeks after that arc ended I think actually. It was two weeks after the Heaven's Tornado arc or two weeks after the Doll arc. It's been five years now so it's hard to remember these things.
He was mostly a wushu guy from what I heard, so that's probably why it was called dancing. I just know he was really flexible and acrobatic. Pretty funny, too, a lot of slapstick was added when we were planning out the show thanks to him.
I know, this one's Kamen Rider 2.
Sounds more like he is saying plain old loading to me.
For real, it sounds they just got a white guy to do the Megauloader's voice. Or at least a super fluent English speaker. He sounds sort of forced in his japanese pronunciation. Like he is faking "Nekuromu" so Japanese kids understand he is saying Necrom's name and he says "uru" because... well I don't know. I have no idea what is even the purpose of having that "u" in the name and not just calling it the Megaloader.
For example, compare how the Ghost Driver and the Megauloader pronounce "ghost". The loader is so deliciously crystal clear. lt almost turns me on. The Driver however is super japanese.I'd like more english speaking belts with fluent voice actors like Mr. Belt and the Megauloader. The contrast makes it delicious.
>I have no idea what is even the purpose of having that "u" in the name and not just calling it the Megaloader.
It's supposed to be a pun. I think "uruou" is the verb for moistening something.
>I have no idea what is even the purpose of having that "u" in the name and not just calling it the Megaloader.
It's because "Megauruou" means "moistened eyes." Basically, it's another phonetic pun.
Those are the AKB girls. The show's Music Station, really big show in Japan that does weekly performances from recent artists. (they have big name American artists on all the time too) This is just the second Rider series that has had a song performed on.
Doesn't seem like she got the chance to fuck him before he left, so no
When I was a kid, my dad called me "special" and not like other humans. In hindsight, he was probably referring to my autism.
>Godai protecting Animal Crossing villagers from Grongi
>Mach and Rise of the Tomb Raider
Gou battles Trinity for the Prophets relic, the key to immortality. His chance to bring Chase back.
>Shoutaro in Arkham Asylum: Blackgate
WHY ISN'T THIS HAPPENING?! Beating up thugs as a Kamen Rider is all I've ever wanted in life!
I'm thankful he still gets to show up in movies. Some of the best reactions out there. How come him and Decade get to convince their agencies to let them back on, but others can't?
Haruto is now a teacher in a highschool that uses his persona Dragon to stop people in the city from developing apathy syndrome
>mfw this would of been a better plot than Wizard
>marriage blessed by Takatera and Odagiri
>didn't last longer than 4 years
>made fun by Takatera at Kuuga BD promotion
>Gentarou in Xenoblade Chronicles X
Oh God, imagining him making friends with all the xenos makes me all warm and fuzzy inside.
mfw he tries befriending Lao after he turns traitor
I'm guessing his theme is centered around mayo.
Spies are only useful when there aren't more than 2 on a team.
Watching Drive now. Just got to Mach.
This is a very nice design. Please tell me Gou doesn't turn out to be a shitter.
He still gets one of the best moments out of the entire show right at the end.
And after that arc, I don't recall him moping the entire time. He certainly got better, at least from what I remember.
>Shotaro and Phillip now protect neighboring villages from natural monstrosities
>tfw no Neo-80s AESTHETIC Rider
>no VHS-based Belt and Gimmick
>no Secondary with a Betamax themed brace
>no Final Upgrade Laserdisc weapon ala Taja Spinner
>no Gaudy Electric colors and bright ass hair
Then again I don't think Japan experienced the 1980s the way America did
>tfw kids will actually remember you 5 years from now
>All time favorite: Rider 1
Strangely enough, this feels like it would fit rather well.
Go watch the short film Cassette Girl on Japan Animator Expo. Do it now because it's being taken down tomorrow.
>Shocker has evolved into an unseen and wildly powerful world force akin to Cipher
>Great Leader has taken on a new form as a man with a skull-like face.
>Hongo can no longer stand against Shocker as a wandering lone Rider and must build an organization to rival Shocker
>Rider 2 and V3 are like his Kaz and Ocelot
>Recruits other Showa riders as his generals and builds a command base where Riders can deploy to Shocker plagued regions around the world
>Recruits people from all over to be new mass produced riders, like showa styled Riotroopers
>free roaming missions across giant maps in Japan, Europe, and other countries
>Ride across the countryside on your bike and deliver justice as randomly generated Shocker attacks occur in real time in the mission area
>taken down tomorrow
Wish I had known of this sooner because this is pretty damn nice
but I still need more.
The only thing people know Animator Expo for is either for being that thing that ME!ME!ME! came from or for being made by Hideaki Anno. But there are actually a bunch of cool shorts, and they're already translated into English. Change the language setting and you can get accurate English subs.
All of it is coming down tomorrow. You could always torrent it though.
Yeah, I just noticed the english button and subs. That and the little wavy effect at the bottom that needed tracking. And yeah, gonna have to find that torrent before the next Drive marathon. Thanks for the heads up.
Of course. Something this good doesn't just vanish into the night.
>Then again I don't think Japan experienced the 1980s the way America did
Are you sure about that?
we will ever get a sequence of riders as great as this?
All the phase 1 riders ( execpt maaaaaybe shinji and Godai ) are all top tier.
Haruto could've been top tier, Kouta is hit or miss even if i do love the bastard. shinnosukes okay but doesn't hold a candle to previous riders and takeru flat out blows.
>not God tier
Hey man I loved shinji too but he's probably one of the weaker main characters.
Almost throughout the entire thing he keeps on screaming about " KILLING IS WRONG " and even saves a dude who he knows is going to kill tons of fucking people.
The development he had was great and while I never considering him annoying a lot of people watching the show might have been peeved.
Would you play a Kamen Rider W hack and slash where half the gameplay revolves around you solving crimes
>Short ara ara and giant shota
Holy shit, why is Asumu so retarded
Yes but there are events in the movie that contradict how things ended up in the show, so it's probably fine. The only thing I know for a fact that it spoils is the reveal of King Form.
