Mostly foam rubber, I think. Actually, until Hibiki, most Rider suits were primarily made out of foam rubber. There were a few exceptions, though, like G3 which used a large amount of plastic.

Plastic suits are generally more expensive than foam, but they last longer and don't look as silly in certain scenes. Like, you know how Faiz's chestpiece is supposed to be rubber? Occasionally, when he gets hit in the chest, you can see that the chestpiece is actually pretty soft, way softer than its appearance suggested. That doesn't really happen anymore, since ever since Hibiki, Riders are primarily composed of plastic and latex.

Kamen Rider vs Ambassador Hell was an entirely original project with nothing taken from the show.

I downloaded W. Watched three episodes with friends. I haven't watched anything like this since I discarded Polish-dubbed Power Rangers as pointless kiddie shit. This is kinda fun. Cheesy and the fight scenes aren't Bruce Lee tier, but I kinda like it.

What is the main thing that appeals to you with these shows, guys? Because for me the quality is je ne sais quoi.

The heroic battles between good and evil and the bare knuckle beat downs that follow. It's a whole package deal for me. The suits, the music, the characters and relationships, and the fights. There's a pleasant blend of straight-facedness, humor, and self-awareness that makes it all cohesive.

I think W's good for all of it too with the exception of the actual plot, which goes well and then crashes in the last episode.

This, I think. It kind of gets the premise is kind of silly, but that doesn't stop them from making great stories with it, and I think that mix of silliness and honesty makes for a very strong mix.

The Japanese industry's idea of popularity is weird. You can do a ton of movies and still not be considered popular. If you do a lot of TV you gain a following much more. The hierarchy is Music, TV, Movies.
Singers/Idols gain notoriety much quicker and can stay in the lime light longer if they appeal to fans constantly but one mistake and it's over, TV shows are a good starting point but the real shit is variety shows. if you can make your rounds on talk shows and shit people take notice, movies is last because Japanese folks go to see a movie and forget it. They will recall a drama or show more than they will a film.
