>New Zero TV series coming soon
>Makai Retsuden Show coming soon
>HnK movie Garo: Divine Flame announced for spring
>New OP comes out February 10th
>New ED is February 24th
Also have these links because I forgot to put them in the OP:
>Leon Garo Figuart
>Honoo no Kokuin Boxset 1
I've always thought it was odd that funimation changed the title to "the animation" when that's a much obvious reference to HnK being an adaptation of a series that has NEVER come to the west
Holy fuck she's HOT
Was this a blatant reference that I don't quite understand?
Never heard of the Tale of Genji? It's sometimes called the world's first novel. And it's all about love affairs.
>The work recounts the life of Hikaru Genji, or "Shining Genji", the son of an ancient Japanese emperor, known to readers as Emperor Kiritsubo, and a low-ranking but beloved concubine called Lady Kiritsubo. For political reasons, the emperor removes Genji from the line of succession, demoting him to a commoner by giving him the surname Minamoto, and he pursues a career as an imperial officer. The tale concentrates on Genji's romantic life and describes the customs of the aristocratic society of the time.
I love the new OP and ED
I don't give a shit what people say, I enjoyed the shit out of Goldstorm. It's not quite the first season or Makai Senki but I liked it a fair bit more than Hana
I enjoyed Hana, but it really suffered for not having any kind of strong rival villain. I like the cast at the very least
But that's wrong though. MnH had fantastic weekly episodes, and some of the strongest in the entire franchise, including but not limited to the horror movie episode, like you mentioned.
I thought Ryuga was fine if a little too stoic at times, but Rian was godawful, I'm with you there.
I think with Ryuga he did enough radical stuff during the big action scenes that I was willing to forgive his worse moments, Rian had no such redeeming factors
If you're just worried about it being a toy commercial, worry not my friend
Garo is pretty childish, it's the age old knight in shining armour tale, but this times there's the occasional boob shot and butts.
It just isn't a toy commercial, so you don't have to worry about that shit.
>Implying there is anything wrong with a Knight in shining armour tale
who's buying this figuarts? I'm tempted but I'm fucking sure the "gold" paint will end up being a crappy yellow in the actual release, it is always like that
and for those skeptical anons, look at the lost shine, the yellow parts are supposed to be golden
It's more reflective in a picture on Amemiya's Twitter. I'm almost sure this is just a case of some things not photographing right. The old Kouga I have is pretty metallic and I've seen weird pictures of that.
I feel you, but the price REALLY hurts
I certainly am. Wish it comes with a head with roaring expression but eh.
Here's hoping he sells well enough to warrant a Zoro and Gaia
Tell me about it.
Dude's straight up going to be the most expensive figuart I've bought.
Shame they seem to have gotten rid of the alternate roaring head from the prototype. Can't say I'll miss the bendy sword though.
I'm most disappointed with them opting out of those more dynamic looking scarves. The straight/flat ones we're apparently getting look like they'll look awkward in any position but straight down.
I'm also a bit disappointed that the cracks aren't there, since I don't think we ever actually saw that version of the armor without them outside of >>13795065, but that's a minor nitpick.
You forgot Leon's beast mode.
>Next OT episode will be based Gouten debuting
I hope they do that thing where they put the translated lyrics for the song in the top left, that's always neat
I won't fight you on that, but Divine Flame and Tusk of Thunder are REALLY close
>SHATTER THOUSANDS OF DARK BEINGS AS YOU BLAZE THROUGH YOUR DESTINY!
God I love that line
I'm convinced that whenever JAM does a new Garo song, they just rearrange or reword a stock pool of phrases. I swear the phrase "yami o terasu" appears at least once in every Garo-related song.
My favourite Garo songs are the ones that go into the character specifically, it's why I like Savior in the Dark and Divine Flame so much
>Oh warrior born in burning hellfire
>You must bear darkness and hatred on your shoulders
>The silent promises you've sworn have become heavy steel
>Until the moment you cut off the root of darkness
>Something hot chips and sears through you in this life
Jewellery I believe. She'll probably be in Retsuden.
Just their costumes.
Could be a young Rafael.
Maybe a blooded up Al? does have Blue eyes after all
So that's a definite maybe
I realize you could just look at their account and see me but eh
Yeah, but how many times has that happened only for "four years after" to be the framing device? For all we know, it's a compilation movie that uses Leon telling stories to his now four-year-old half-brother as a frame with like one new fight.
I love this persons art
Really feeling the Inoue this episode
This is the worst episode of either season of the anime by far
It's a shame this great design is stuck in a bad episode
This is the worst episode of either season of the anime by far
I thought you were exaggerating until the horror appeared.
This episode was terrible. Absolutely terrible. One of the worst to ever come out of the franchise.
Wow this episode was fucking terrible. These two characters are now worse because of it. Did Inoue write this? Because it has his stench all over it.
Something was fishy there. Wife-horror went to her, and she's suddenly fine in her next scene without any explanation. She's suspicious as fuck.
On the episode itself, it was weird I laughed at the hijinks, but I can totally see why people think it was a bad episode (it would have fitted better in the first cour)
The whole "I'm going to help you stop your infidelity, and get you back with your wife, but ara ara, you showed a little bit of manliness, please sleep with me first" thing was retarded.
She went to Izumi after she became a horror. As you stated, the wife fell after she realized that her husband had fucked Izumi too.
My question is why the horror who specifically went to kill Izumi spared her without any explanation.
Love how it looks, what's the backstory of that design?
I'm puzzled by that too, it makes no fucking sense that Izumi was spared. Even if she knows about horrors and makai priests I doubt she was able to ward her off, perhaps she's a horror too.
I just don't understand why they made the show when they apparently don't have the budget for CG. Or even regular animation, half the time.
Though it can (sometimes) look a lot nicer than HnK's 2D.
What color is Gaia supposed to be, anyway? I find it hard to describe because it looks anywhere from purple to a wine color to pink depending on the scene's lighting.
So does Rei have his own training facility like Kouga does? I always figured that was just something built into the mansion. I didn't think it was standard to Knights
Wikipedia says crimson, but then again Wikipedia also calls him the Defense Knight and calls Zanga the Silver Knight.
His apartment seemed pretty nice
It also looked like it was in an abandoned/condemned building and he didn't have many possessions to his name aside from his bike and shit to maintain his bike.
Side materials apparently state that Knights like Kouga and Rei with actual "homes" are really rare. Most -are- nomadic bums..
There any ED cards for the new anime? Was just going through the ones from the last one and remembering how great they were.
Since it's not in the OP, here's the folder for talk segments and omake for The Crimson Moon
What is the best suit and why is it Zero Black Blood Ver?
>Just a friend
Why do you do this to me Kageyama?
Everybody come up with a rap for the Garo icon now!(And yes it has to be in japanese)
In a way, this form resembling Lost Shine is really nice symbolism. It was achieved by Ryuga conquering his inner weakness and fear, so the symbol of his weakness and inexperience is now his greatest strength
Now that it we know it's common for the armour to evolve based on the wearers personality/character, what does the traditional form of the armour signify for those who primarily use it? or Knights like Leon who start off with something unique that then changes to match the normal armour once he matures. I'm probably overthinking this but it's interesting to me damnit
Perhaps is for an "all rounder" types. We don't really know what the forms specifically alter, but it stands to reason that they modify something that helps the wearer to excel at being Garo.
It does resemble medieval armour more thant he other forms, perhaps it's meant to show that the wearer's attitude is that of a Traditional Knight? Ryuga's armour changing because of how different he is from the average Makai Knight
Just got to this part on my rewatch, fuck, why won't the tears stop?
It had enough magic to come out looking okay from Sonshi's beatings, at least.
I like the part earlier when he sticks the sheathe in one of them.
Looking very Kouga-ish there Leon
Why have you posted the for ants version
He also did some designs for a few Kamen Rider monsters and a handful of demons for Shin Megami Tensei IV. Specifically, Centaur, Medusa, Asmoedus, Michizane, Masakado, and Luficer.
I know people HATE Medusa and Luficer, but Asmodeus is one of my personal favorite new designs.
They really shouldn't have gotten him to design demons with human-like faces like Medusa and Lucifer, since it makes it obvious that his art style is completely different from the other designs in the game, since he uses thick black lines for their facial features.
His penchant for asymmetry and complex detailing doesn't help, either.
They had someone else redesign them for Final while still keeping the qualities Nirasawa added and they look so much better.
Masayuki Doi is a pretty damn good artist, and to think he started off on the Trauma games.
The art for Centaur is a lot better now, but I'm still not feeling the concept.
>man upper body, horse lower body
>two horse heads, shoulder wings, hooves slapped onto an otherwise human body
It's a sort-of sequel. It's an improvement on the original game, but it's got a different storyline, a different protagonist and so on.
The reason for the "sort-of" is because it takes place in a route that didn't happen in the original SMT IV, IIRC.
This episode was pretty fucking good. It's always great when they let the secondary Knight take the lead in a episode
I can't say I enjoy Crimson Moon as much as I did Goldstorm, but it's fine, I don't really have any huge complaints with it. This week also did the radical thing of just making the secondary the lead for an episode which is nice
CG's a little better with the new suit.
