I found that weird when watching early Drive since it's not like anybody told Tomari that the name "Kamen Rider" was a big deal and he didn't wasn't familiar with other Riders at the time ether. Compare with Double where Shotaro only brings it up in episode 20, and it's specifically because by that point Double had enough of a reputation that people expect certain things.

I just finished watching Faiz with a friend recently and Christ, that was even more infuriatingly and consistently frustrating to watch than the later parts of Kiva, especially since there were so many things I wanted to like drowned out by the soap opera. Things got a bit better during the ending stretch after everyone starts ignoring Kusaka but that came roughly 20 episodes too late and the ending resolved nothing other than that Takumi is never allowed to not suffer.

Watching Paradise Lost after the series felt really damn good though, both since it was a great movie on its own right and because it practically went out of its way to pull off things that the show dropped the ball on, like making Blaster actually feel like a final form, everyone treating Kusaka like an asshole right off the bat, and the main cast actively stopping to talk things out with each other except for one major exception (Kiba becoming Orga) and even that exception felt much less contrived than many of the series' misunderstandings for the limited movie time they had to work with.
