I'd never heard of Ritz before and had to look him up, so I may be showing my ignorance here but even after looking him up I've no idea why someone would choose to use him as a reference character for such a setting, never mind why he'd be chosen as the speed demon character. There's a free trial that you can try that lets you play through 2 chapters and gives you a general impression without spoiling too much. Basically enough to get you hooked and want more if it catches your interest.

Yeah, I'm not sure. Tesla's suit gives him power over electricity which makes sense, but Walther's ability doesn't seem to relate to any of his theories in history.

Walther's actual power is to move the world around him and accelerate inanimate objects, but again I'm not smart enough to know if that relates to any of his real life theories or philosophies. He does seem to be kind of a nobody, especially compared to most of the other historical figures that are re-imagined in the story.

Though maybe that's the reason why he was picked. He could have been a blank enough slate that they just decided to stick him with gotta go fast powers for rule of cool or something.

Haven't seen any guides, but it's pretty basic. If you don't pick the right choices during the "Exercise" segments then you'll automatically get a bad end at the end of the chapter instead of progressing to the next one. Choosing the right choices allows you to advance to the next chapter and also unlocks bonus scenes.

Though you can "cheat" by choosing the 4th option which let's you bypass the wrong choices. But picking that one locks you out getting the bonus scenes. So you have to manually pick the right answers to progress and unlock the bonus scenes.

You can tell if you picked the right choice or not depending on Tesla's response. If he chastises you for giving up too early then that means you fucked up. If he praises you for being strong and resisting your fate then you picked right. Just quick save before each choice.

Forgot to mention that the bonus scenes aren't unlocked until the end of the chapter. They let you see what side characters were doing between major events or when they weren't around Neon, so it adds more depth their personalities and motivations.

Work on Gahkthun was already being done and they just bought the translation so they could distribute it. As far as I know no one has started on Valusia yet. The games are self-contained enough that you can play them on their own, but you do miss out on various cross series references and world building.

The repetitiveness is just something you end up getting used to and just the writer's style. Expect to read them describing the garden and Tesla's transformation scene 50+ times in this as well. From the same company as this there's Sekien no Inganock and Shikkoku no Sharnoth. All of them are part of running line known as the "what a beautiful" series and take place in the same universe with various connections between them. They're not considered sequels to each other and you can read them standalone with no problem, but they do have various references to each other and share world building.

Inganock is about a doctor in an isolated city that summons a Stand to fight against Monsters. Sharnoth is about an alternate history Agatha Christie who teams up with some asshole calling himself Sherlock Holmes to solve mysteries involving people getting murdered by Metacreatures. These are just basic descriptions of course and the stories are deeper than that.

There's another title by the same company translated called Cannonball, but it doesn't have anything to do with the "what a beautiful" series and is instead about a legendary grand prix in space. The story is more simple and lighthearted and there's a bigger emphasis on unlocking sex scenes, but it's a fun read.

The Governing Council and Tesla can use this magic called "Suppression" and hypnotic suggestion on people which basically allows them to see what they want them to see or mess with their memories so they believe something different happened. More or less the memory eraser thing from Men in Black.

It's also a convenient way for them to have the mech battles without having to deal with the aftermath of normal citizens panicking. There's a part later on where Tesla is using his mech to fight another mech while Neon and her friends are like 10 feet away in a mansion, but the other members of the Governing Council use Suppression on them so they're completely oblivious to the entire fight even though it's taking place like right outside the window.

So Reich hit it and quit it and made her think it was all a dream so she wouldn't bother him anymore.

Not him, but Inganock in particular was vague as hell with a lot of its terminology even if you were already familiar with the world between stories.

Not everyone catches onto things as quickly so the encyclopedia in Gakhthun being there as a reference point is nice if something is really confusing you. Plus it also gives a lot of background info on the setting in general and stuff like the history of the Academia and the different departments. Things that aren't required to follow the story but supplemental stuff that's neat to know.
