I don't think so. The bottom line is that 308 isn't as expensive to shoot as peope think. If you're talking steel case you can shoot three 5.56 for two 308, so 900 rounds of 5.56 is going to cost the same as 60 rounds of 308. Not bad at all, especially considering that only retards like you run their 308s like one would an AR.

Ratio gets even better with brass. 1k 5.56 brass is about 750 rounds 7.62x51 brass. Not bad at all.

This is all talking about plinking ammo.

A lot of people will say you should buy a complete one to avoid issues, but I think you should try to do a build.
