The build was not difficult but I love tinkering so the problems I encountered were fun to solve. It was not as straight forward as videos make it out to be. I had to do quite a bit of fitting and futzing to fix some things and I had to spend way too much money to make the trigger even somewhat tolerable. It cost WAYYYYY too much to build this.

It was a fun project but if I were charging $40/hour I would have MADE $120 building it, instead of losing time and money.

Like I said if the whole project cost $200 less (not including the RMR) than a regular Blick then it would totally be worth it for the experience and value. So I'm sexually attracted to the Aero Precision M4E1 w/ 15" MLOK rail and decided to build an upper. Setup will be primarily for home defense.

Need help deciding on BCG and barrel. Pretty open on the BCG, but for the barrel I'm settled on 4150, 1/7 twist, 5.56, 16", chrome lined or nitride. I could go any which way on the profile.

Get this, pull the barrel out of it, shave the A2 front sight post down to a low profile gas block and then sell the stripped upper to get some money back. Now you have a good BCG and an excellent barrel ready to go into your AERO upper.

I have three off these FAN barrels in various lengths and they've all been amazing so far.

Aside from the catless downpipes and aftermarket exhaust, it looks pretty much stock. It's a bit of a sleeper with its "old man" cashmere silver paint.

I had this dream that I found an A1 style AR in box in my closet. It had this fucking weird ass optic that was wider than the gun itself and looked like something out of Halo. I hit one of the knobs and it allowed me to float through walls noclip style. When I hit the other knob it would seriously fuck with the fabric of reality, I basically became a heavily armed Xavier renegade angel until I hit one button that transported me to the surface of mars where I watched an N64 rendered version of earth split in half and come back together again over and over.

I specifically need the beveled spacer and that AAC kit (which I actually bought) doesn't include one. I know that surefire includes one in their kit because it's addressed specifically in their installation instructions for barrels with a small radius at the shoulder which prevents muzzle devices from seating properly.
