So the PRO isn't the lightest, but honestly your biggest weight that you could fix easily is probably that 15" Troy rail. That isn't light by any stretch. Also what barrel profile do you have? If heavy you can definitely save weight with a different profile.

I generally like the front fixed sight for a reference point with my red dot, its a daniel defense so I figured the weight wouldnt be an issue, but you are right, it adds up.

Its a 14.5 inch barrel in 1x7 twist with a mid length gas system, not terribly sure what that means as far as barrel profile, ill be honest ive never gotten into barrel profiles much before. it came with the upper, I build my rifles but generally try not to touch upper build stuff as a lot of it is past my knowledge and expertise as far as building goes.

I mostly build the lowers, find a good BCG and charging handle, and make sure the upper has most of the qualities I want in an upper. Im by no means an expert.
