The modification isn't a problem unless it constitutes a redesign of the pistol brace away from its original design intention towards a stock. This distinction is determined by the ATF when they are deciding to prosecute or not.

You can argue that the modification is not a redesign of the brace into a stock, but rather a redesign of the brace into another brace. For example there was a "case" a while back where someone wanted to combine the SST1 cheek saddle with a buffer tube sling attachment plate. It was 100% legal until they went and asked the ATF if it was okay, and then the ATF simply said no, no funs allowed. If you honestly want to hear more shoot me an email. If you're stoked on the possibility for even less freedoms, then don't worry about it and keep running around telling people this is illegal when absolutely no determination has been made yet, so it is defacto legal.

Because the crap on the sides is the SST1 Cheek saddle which is 100% legal to use as a cheek brace on a pistol buffer tube. Putting it on the Shockwave doesn't change it's original design intention, and as long as you don't change its original design all you're doing is combining two pistol braces, both which function differently, and even when combined still only function as pistol braces.

Basically as long as you don't write a letter to the ATF asking "hurr durr is this legal", it is legal. That is how the pistol brace shit has worked since day one, and each time something is made illegal it is because of pussy as bitches like yourself writing them letters.

I mean at this point you're allowed to shoulder braces. Do you really think that combining two braces is going to change shit up all of a sudden?
Pro tip, it only will if you go and ask them.

There's a simple image floating around I don't have but basically any twist can shoot any weight safely but some twists prefer certain weights. For example: 40-60gr 1:9, 50-70gr 1:8, 60-77gr 1:7. For all intensive purposes 1:8 is the best all around, even for low weight bullets, and 1:7 shines if you plan to shoot almost exclusively heavy (expensive) match ammo.

I have two Holosuns that are exceptionally low tint, much much less tint than Aimpoints. Leupold Deltapoints are nearly clear, as are most of the Vortex minis except the Razor. Sig I dunno, glanced at one but not through it. imo C-More is wayyyyy too big for a pistol in 2017. Even if you could mount it nearly touching the slide, you have to shift the pistol down or your head up more than an inch to center in the lens, which feels really weird on a pistol that you're used to shooting with iron sights right close to the top of the slide. Even a lot of mini dots cause this feeling. RMRs and the old JPoint/Optima2000/Docter/Leupold sights are about the only ones that are actually short enough to feel natural.

I need a rail where the QD slot isn't recessed so deep into the rail.

My 9mm has a chode of a barrel, and it won't let a QD swivel seat deep enough into the QD slots to lock into the detents.

There really isn't a universal specification for the AR-10 platform.

The closest thing is the DPMS pattern, only because they're the most popular.

You can't really say that there is a "TRUE" AR-10.

Basically, if it's AR pattern, and shoots 308 (or one of its daughter cartridges) it's more or less an AR-10.

So to answer your question, yes, the MR308 is an AR-10, and so is an SR-25, as well as a DPMS Oracle 308.
