I worked this bitch hard today. Normally I only go through a couple mags at a time, but today I went through 300 rounds in a few hours. Rifle and scope are on-the-nuts accurate at long distance working with only a 25yd zero.

I had two stoppages on the same 20-round Colt magazine. No other problems at all. I feel safe blaming the mag.

The AUG is pretty fucking smart. Its a more robust and ruggrd system than anyone but its owners realize. I've ran mine dry on many occasions, and have put over 3K rounds through it. Train with it and every issue you have will melt away.

I'm in the process of pushing an alley out to 300-350 without destroying too many trees and still having a safe backstop. I think with some trimming I'll only need to cut 3 down, and they aren't that big or old.

First step is to acquire used tires for the backstop.
Then range out the alley
Rent a skidsteer to fill the tires with sand and clear/level the target area

Ideally for the range you want a natural backstop near state land. A small hill works great, because you can dig into it and with tires or rail road ties on top have a safe backstop that cops can't give you shit about.

Heavy woods is nice. The leaves during the summer act as sound dampeners so it's nice and quiet. The downside is that trees get old and fall down.

And you also don't know if you'll stay in the state either.
