regular stock handguards in a fixed front sight model usually have a bit of play, because all they are designed for is holding the rifle, no real need for precision tolerances there. chances are you will replace them soon enough with something nicer looking that you can stick a light, a laser and an afg on

I honestly haven't seen any formerly "regular" SKS being sold in the past half year or so. the new norm seems to be a bottom of the barrel, shit refurb jobs with cracked stocks and peeling BBQ paint, minor rust sports, etc. other than more pricy Chinese models and the "super-grade" all matching versions some dealers have been hoarding until recently, you can probably one find a decent blued SKS for the base price of $230-250 only at some random backwoods Canadian Tire.

If you've already gone through it at one club, others will let you shoot Restricted at their ranges by giving you an "invitation" when you show them proof you did it at another club. you can take your NR and pay the daily rate and shoot at any club if you have PAL and they do daily pass deal, but you can't just bring your R-shit to a range you're not member of without the invite. It's an insurance policy. Anyone who wants an AR can just get one the legal way. Once it becomes illegal, there is no way to prove they have an unregistered AR without finding the physcial evidence.

What is the procedure for getting an antique letter?

I bought an antique boot pistol, percussion, from Elwood Epps, but it did not come with a letter or anything.

I am jsut vaguely worried about getting caught with it and the RCMP flipping its shit calling it a prohibited weapon, when it quick clearly is antique.

There are no serials or anything, just an old looking boot pistol.

dude, all the AR shooters are loving it, everyone says it's the first trigger in a bullpup that actually feels good to them. the transfer bar works differently, it combines the Tavor's "pulling" on the sear instead of "pushing" it method with an AR trigger

yes, holy shit, it's been out in US since 2014 and there are buttload of videos on it, the design of the internal components hasn't changed since the rifle that worked for decades (other than the touted trigger upgrade)
