I don't go out there much. Too busy with work. Most of the roads haven't been maintained in 30 years, and much of the fencing has rotted away.

It's a ridiculously light alloy that they used for a lot of FAL parts to cut down weight though, i.e a Hidu lower is 250 grams vs a steel which is 750. If I can find a full set of it I could get a complete FAL with a 16 inch barrel in the range of like 8-9 pounds with the CASV, DSA top, and LMT stock before optics, and lights if my math is right

it has infinite eye relief so FOV doesn't really matter, instead you want as much peripheral vision as possible

Cause then I'd have to fab all the shit myself. DSA makes some alloy lowers but that's pretty much all they make, and they're not as light as hiduminium and also not as gucci. With Belgian hidu I can get the lower, stock knuckle, stock bolt, grip screw, and I believe some other small parts which would all cut weight by a shitton. There's also the other half of the stock which can be gotten in hidu but I plan on using the SOPMOD not the original wire. But if I did use that it'd be even fuckin lighter

Only part of this project will be making the most modernized FAL possible, the other part is I also just like to collect cool/rare shit and I really love FALs
