Keymod takes longer and costs more to manufacture and that Keymod accessory's are only friction fit, for long Mlok slots it cant be pushed back or forth because in normal configuration they have nowhere to go as both nuts are against the rail lengthwise and provide a backstop, also even if they were loosened or move back or forth they will stay an as the T nut prevents it from falling out. All it takes for a Keymod accessory to fall off is a good smack to the front of the adapter such as dropping it or bracing the rifle against a tree.

Without begging the question, answer me this:
If Joe has an idea, a design or a guitar lick in his mind, then Joe lets that idea out of his mind by his own volition, he plays the guitar lick, or draws the design somewhere public, how is it stealing for Bob to now take that guitar lick or design and utilize it himself? >Keymod accessory to fall off is a good smack to the front of the adapter such as dropping it or bracing the rifle against a tree.
Wrong
Sorry anything without a recoil lug will do that, oh wait because Keymod is open source literally anyone can make their "Keymod" product without a recoil lug and than fall off and still be a Keymod product, so yes "Keymod" products can literally get smacked by a tree and fall out.

>>33506336
I'm only implying theft is immoral if you beg the question and assume that intellectual property is the same as property.
You're stupid.
We're trying to discuss if intellectual property is actually a thing, that is, is it immoral to take and utilize an idea that was originally created by someone else. I'm claiming that intellectual property isn't a real thing, that is it isn't immoral to take and utilize an idea that was originally created by someone else, because ideas cannot be owned in any sense past that of "he who created it first shall be known as he who created it first and a usurpation of that fact is simply counterfactual and so immoral in as much as an any false statement is axiologically 'wrong'."
But the idea cannot be owned in a sense of property. We don't say that the poor Chinese kid owns the pair of shoes that you buy just because he is the one who made them? Why would ideas be any different? The only difference is that you can come to posses ideas without violating NAP even in the case that the originator of the idea doesn't desire for you to posses the idea, while in order to come to posses the shoes in the case that the originator doesn't want you to posses the shoes, you'll have to violate NAP.
Basically nothing is immoral unless if violates NAP, and coming to posses ideas rarely violates NAP unless it actually is violating NAP, but when it does the issue isn't the possession of the ideas against the will of the originator, but rather the violation of NAP that then resulted in the originator dispossessing themselves of the idea. But even then, they can't really dispossess themselves of the idea, especially if they're the originator since it is an FUCKING IDEA.
This is simple shit really.
>>33506429
Wow almost as if that was the case with keymod as well. So the customers will avoid poorly made products? Wow crazy! All of this without restrictive licensing? how could this be possible?!?!??!?!?
>>33506432
>does the chinese kid own the shoes
No because he's a worker using materials that aren't his, in a workshop that isn't his, using his time that he's selling to the company

You still haven't answered the question of how you deal with people like artists and song writers, if I create a logo, and a company uses it for the product, and tells me to fuck off, is it my fault then for being an artist? Because that's the world you're envisioning. And I want you to fucking explain what happens in this situation, because you keep avoiding it

>>33506451

Violations of mutually agreed upon contracts of any sort (see the an-cap memeballs about child sex slaves) constitute NAP violations. Want intellectual property so bad? What I'm saying is that it isn't immoral unless if violates NAP, and what looks like "stealing an idea" doesn't violate NAP, so it isn't really stealing and isn't really immoral, unless you have contracts regarding ideas to make the thing that looks like stealing, actually be stealing, but even then it isn't actually stealing, it is just contract violation and therein lies the immorality of the act.

>M-LOKTM allowed for the repeated installation of the same accessory rail in the same location on a handguard with an average point of aim (POA) shift of 1.3 MOA, as low as one quarter the average POA shift observed by other modular rail systems. Drop test results demonstrated that M-LOKTM systems maintain securement of accessories to the handguard and sustain less damage from impact forces than some other modular rail systems. Failure load testing demonstrated that M-LOKTM systems support the highest load of all modular rail systems tested. In fact, the test equipment used to interface with 1913 accessory rails secured with the respective modular rail system across testing repeatedly failed prior to failure of the M-LOKTM attachment system. Even so, testing of the M-LOKTM systems failed at loads as high as over three times the maximum failure load of some other modular rail systems. Are all on the eventual to do list. Not sure what order. Pic related might be a possibility too. There's just too much stuff out there I want.

>There's just too much stuff out there I want.
iktf
Is A2 still asleep from his drunk Keymod shitposting?
I bet he had nightmares about MLOK
>>33507727
Forgot mk18
>>33507734
Maybe he drowned in his tear soaked pillow
>>33507734
I really don't understand what the hell hes even talking about anymore.
Does he hate that it's free?
>>33507595
You will have to replace the tube and add a castle nut. Fixed M16-style stocks don't even have one.
Holy fuck. These arfcommers are all assmad because they can't figure out how to properly use MLOK
http://www.ar15.com/forums/t_3_118/711651_NSWC-Crane-finds-M-Lok-to-be-best.html
>mlok is a pain in the ass, keymod just werks
>>33507786
top kek
>>33507747
>oes he hate that it's free?
BUT ITS NOT REALLY FREEEEEE
>>33507786
Seriously? Its not difficult at all, I had an Mlok MOE handguard and it was easy as shit. Put the anchors on, line em up and apply the part, turn screws till tight. I swear Arfcommers are half retarded.
Saw this coming a mile off though, I dont like everything Magpul, but I knew they had a winner with mlok.
>>33507814
Damnit.
>>33507786
>Goodbye hoity-toity, snobbish Keymod and BCM.
did Paul fuck his wife
>>33506485
QD mechanism and SOPMOD approved
So what rail will they adopt? MK8 or URX4?
Now's the time to buy before they go out of stock forever.
>>33507852
Just buy both
>>33507786
Dey mad
>If your Keymod failed in the past there's only 2 potential reasons why:
1. You used cheap shit.
2. You didn't do it right.
Keymod works. No, really, it does. On hard use rifles. Harder use than anyone here probably does daily.
im loving it
US anodizing is backlogged, who else can do work that nice on the fugly A1 receiver I just got?
>>33507941
You can anodize it yourself
>>33507961
what is autistic people don't have mechanical coordination?
Keymod isn't a gimmick. Its a functioning, efficient method of attachment.
Its just not as strong as MLOK according to some testing. That doesn't mean it doesn't work well. Because it does.
When used properly with quality equipment.
Don't mischaracterize it.
You display your ignorance.
i know the "c" word brings up a lot of shitposting, but i have a spare c7 style upper im thinking about turning into something. any thoughts on which clone i should pursue? no canadian c7
>>33507811
Oh yeah, they want to ensure you build it correctly when you put their name on it. Wow
>>33507971
IDK, make a carbine or something.
>>33507852
I'd say both and I'd throw in mk4 just in case
>>33507971
sell it to me :'(
>>33507985
>mk4
no
>>33507989
What does the brand new rail from Geissele look like? The mk13 or whatever?
is the mft minimalist a meme or what
>>33507682
FDE and Sand is so fucking last century to me now. Taupe is the lightest I want to go.
Now my Daniel Defense M4A1 I'm picking up on the 10th (overseas until then) will feature a coyote Bravo stock and FDE VFG/grip (BCM) and FDE ACOG ECOS. I hope the light tan on dark tan looks good.
>>33507641
Are those any good?
>>33507995
I don't think it will be very popular.
>>33508000
It does look good. Also look into gear sector. They offer mounts in patriot brown which would go good with the RIS II. I'm about to get some myself. As well as an fde tango Down grip. With they'd make stuff in darker browns tho
>>33508025
I'm just saying that it's the new rail they put out and they probably have a good idea what SOPMOD wants
>>33508025
>>33508032
I doubt they would go with a pic/MLOK hybrid when their tests have shown that MLOK is better.
>>33508026
wish not with*
>>33508046
M lok was stronger than pic rail?
>>33508053
yup
>>33508054
That's not how I read. To my limited understanding they were testing m lok against other modular rail systems. Modular rail systems being new things that weren't picatinny.
Fags, ive been out of the game too long. Finish my mk18 build
>noveske mur upper
>gen 1 noveske lower
>ris ii mk18
All i got currently
>>33508109
Picatinny IS a modular rail system. It was just the first.
>>33508135
Why are you using noveske on a clone build? It should be Colt
>>33508135
>noveske mur upper
>mk18
>>33508054
no, the test equipment failed, not 1913
Oh wait this is where the butthurt all came from huh
Lmao rip bcm
>>33508183
Its a mur1a nignog
>>33508216
Hopefully this means RIS will be easier and cheaper to come by
>>33508161
Thats why anon specifically pointed out not picatinny.
>>33508240
>got my ris ii m4a1during sandy vagina in sale from bcm
>traded a $150 seekins rail for a ris ii mk18 last year
>>33508258
So am I correct in my assumption that the test was against keymod and other smaller Mod rail systems, but not pic rail?
>>33508275
No it was tested against pic rail too. That's why it's being recommended for adoption.
>>33508281
Against adapters for pic rail mounted on keymod and m lok. Not just pic rail
Has anyone gotten their midway ammo yet? I late to the deal but just wanted to ask
