If you go down the road of the cowboy guns, get a single action with your levergun. Something like a Ruger blackhawk unless you're hung up on a SAA. They're cheap and they work well.

This shit can get as pricey as AR shit before you get into the clothes and holsters. A smooth cycling case hardened carbine can easily run 1600-1800. Revolvers are nuts. Lots of guys want matching sets and here is a good example.

run of the mill 16in middy, standard firing pin. I suspect the fact it was the first range visit for this rifle may have contributed to many of the issues I had initially with the loose boxes I tried.
