Underfolders are the most ass-stock you can get pretty much. Enjoy never having your eyes line up to irons easily, and being weird feeling.
Triangles are just a shittier feeling folder than the regular polymer ones, but infinitely better than an underfolder.
Underfolders look good when folded and viewed from the side, but they're ugly as shit IRL.

You can also see the T, T with Dot, and Dot selector switch on the side. Big downside is because the sunshade is so shallow theres a bit of a reflection in bright light.

Anyway, hopefully I'll be able to make it out to the range soon to zero it and give a more thorough review.

It's what's on there now and came stock on the MISRs since Maadi apparently got a bunch of old Romanian parts from the Russians that they used for quite some time. If I could get a dunerune leaf I would, but those are apparently even rarer.

I found both parts over at Desert Fox Outfitters too, but like most gun sights, their site isn't secure for credit cards either. If I can't get CO Gun Sales to reinstate my order, I'll probably try from them on the same throwaway card. I just don't understand how the single most prolific manufacturer of AKs found in the US simply has so many of their parts completely out of stock.

This, it's not a prepaid card so much as it's an older CC I use entirely for "questionable" purchases. If something goes wrong, I notice right away since I rarely use it, and I don't have to fuck with changing any recurring bills on autopay when the card is replaced.

The downside is that Desert Fox doesn't take my AMEX, so now I've got to use my old Visa instead. I'm just gonna cancel the other order and get the parts from Desert Fox. They might not even be necessary now that I tore down the rear sight and reassembled it; turns out the leaf spring was installed too far forward which is why it felt so weak. The leaf itself is still a bit canted and has a tiny bit of left right jiggle (maybe .2mm), so I'll try the new sight when it comes in to see if that fixes it and keep the leaf spring as a spare.

Hey /akg/ there's a furniture set at a store by me that has an odd stock. It looks normal in terms of shape, but it doesn't have a butt plate or holes. It's just solid wood, like an unfinished stock. It looks cool and I was thinking about picking it up just to have a unique set. Anyone know why it would be like that?

Just got back, heres a side shot. Its a little different than standard but its close enough. Looks like it's homemade or something. Shopowner says its probably made from a 2x4 and replaced a broken stock. Either way its longer than the warsaw stock ive got right now so thats good.

Any new furniture will require a little fitting, it's intentional afiak. Just sand it a little until it fits. You should drill small pilot holes for the tang screws for alignment and to prevent and splitting, at least I would unsure if it's absolutely necessary

It's not that hard to do it man, seriously. If you have $20 and a local hardware store you can do it without a drill and an upset parent. Get a cheap file, a drill bit and a pair of pliers and do it in your room as quietly as the footsteps of a navy seal. I shit you not it is easy to do, you cannot ruin the stock, and it will work. If you can get it in the house (along with the WASR that you're hiding) you can manage to get it out of the house and do this shit if you need to.

You file down the sides of the front end (the part that fits into the receiver) until it fits snugly but loose enough to remove relatively easily.

Then you need to drill the holes, which is why you need a drill bit. After the stock fits in the receiver, use a marker to mark the holes in the trunnion and tang.

Then just put the bit in the pliers or whatever you get and push down while twisting it slowly. If you can find a screw driver with an adapter for bits that would be perfect but may cost a bit more than $20. Just make sure the holes are straight and go slowly. Look up how to tap a hole online and basically do that without the oil (so you don't ruin the wood)

You obviously don't want to go all the way through the stock, so take it out every once in awhile and place the bit up to the screw so you can judge how much more you need to drill it. You want about an 8th of an inch between the screw head and stock to allow for the tang to fit between them.

Assuming you don't need to do too much filing you should be done in about an hour or so, but don't be discouraged if it takes longer, just take your time and keep your head. Good luck man.
