I've had both and would pick C4 IMO because cheaper and uses standard barrel nut. HOWEVER if you are extremely anal about alignment, the DD lets you really powersperg about top rail alignment where the C4 does not.

This is correct. I prefer the C4 overall, but if your barrel nut isn't torqued 100% right your top rail is likely not going to align 100% right. Thankfully BCM was more autistic about it than I would be so no issues there.

LGS in my area is selling a stock SW MP Sport for 1000 dollars. Then he offered to build me a red-orange AR using DPMS receivers for an unspecified price. 360'd out of there lemme tell ya. The other LGS owner died recently so I'm stuck with this shit now.

Honestly it works fine without the M4 feedramps. I dremeled some in to match and I can't even see any evidence that bullet tips have even touched them. I think it's more of an issue in FA or burst carbines, i.e. , military usage.

I have pic related and have had two SSA-Es in the past, which I sold.

The MBT is the best two stage trigger you can buy for less than $250, and in my opinion has a better break even than a Geissele Hi-Speed.

Is it the BEST? I think so. Others may not. But for $125 it is far and away the best bargain in triggers. The SSA-E at $250 is the only thing even remotely close, and I found mine to be inferior to my MBTs.

The only question you should be asking is whether or not you're willing to give a world-class cunt like Mark Larue your money instead of a nice guy like Bill Geissele.

I tested the safeties on a rack of AR-15s today at Cabelas and everyone except for cheap ass ruger, an old LWRC, and a SIG 516 was hard as fuck to disengage. What's standard on these things? I tried 2 Noveskes, a Christenson /carbonmeme rifle, and a Lantac and it literally hurt my thumb to move the selector to fire. Shit QC imo.

I thought about that. Did you re-anodize after? Since it adds some surface hardness. My other M4 feed ramp uppers have 1k plus through them and no worn finish so it isn't deforming the underlying aluminum.

Sooooo hypothetically, if I built an AR and on it's first trip to the range it was burst firing about 30% of the time, what would I do to remedy that? What is causing it?

Holy shit that's bad. Does it have a semi auto trigger group? If so then you are at a high chance for an out of battery detonation. That will explode your gun and maybe hurt you. Take apart the bolt and clean the firing pin, then lube it with actual gun oil, no grease. Take out your trigger group by pushing the pins with a cartridge tip, then examine it to make sure everything looks normal. That's all I can think of

You can drill the hole in the grip incrementally deeper ,but be careful. That spring has a very small operating range and if the hole in the grip is too shallow the coils pack up solid and the detent doesn't have the room it needs to clear out of the holes it's registering in. If you drill it too much though you'll get a floppy safety lever. There's way too much variation in those springs in lpk's and also the holes in the grips. Some grips holes are too deep for the spring you get and a floppy safety is the result.
