Look, it's already installed and seems solid, and I'm looking at the instruction manual to see exactly what manner it's staying seated in there, and I'm seeing nothing.

The indexing points aren't it, since they aren't big enough to cause any resistance, nor wide enough to prop against the outer edges of the handguard slot.

So my only conclusion is that the friction of the bottom of the handguard and the top of the MVG brought about by the force of the hex screw pulling it up into the handguard is the only thing keeping it from sliding around in its mounting slot, which is really sketchy sounding.

it's meme m8. remember most fal owner shoot surplus m80 ball whichs 2moa ammo by its own.

then most fal have 1/12 or 1/11 barrel which modern heavier match ammo call for 1/10 at least. with match grade fal they can shoot submoa all day long. those have heavier barrel not avg pencil. those have squared locking shoulder. those have match grade barrel.

Plus fact that FAL shoot better when it's in straight pull bolt action mode.

my fal have enfield barrel which's commonly considered one of best along with steyr myself i consider it second as avg but some barrel like mine can be lucky and beat some steyr barrels. When shooting groups with my fal I shut off gas and single load by hand.

Keep an eye on your rear trunnion screws on your SCAR. Nobody knows if it's a guarantee or not - but several reports of people with aluminum backplate replacements (stock adapters/KDG stocks) noticing the rear trunnions are getting beat out of their SCARs using those mods. I had a KDG stock on mine for a few hundred rounds and it loosened up all my trunnion screws. Had to remove the whole thing, reloctite, and go back to the ugg boot.

Never used one, but I assume they get the job done if you are worried about being able to adjust gas using a suppressor. Other option would be like what Giddy has, which is a gas adjustable upper receiver.

I think the reason they are not that popular is that for the most part ARs shoot pretty reliably suppressed, with most people only needing to maybe adjust the buffer/spring.

I'm not a source of competent knowledge when it comes to that shit though, someone else could probably give you a better idea.

They're good if you suppress or expect some pretty variable pressures, if you reload or only target shoot with a certain ammunition or shoot blanks or something. Gassing in a rifle makes it recoil softer and can extend the life of internal parts but mostly people don't have a use for them.

The cheek is fine, it's the length of pull/distance it puts your shoulder/neck/eyes from the optic. That ACOG has an eyelash-tier eye relief and you need a giraffe neck to make it comfortable from the fuck-long A2/A4 stocks.
