All Vickers memes aside, the new ruger all american is an all american pile of dogshit
>Slick sights meme
When will this shit die? Oh Boohoo, I can't draw my American and rack the slide off my car mirror, ass of my dog, and edge of the beauty parlor table.
let's be honest, MAC didn't like it because Bill Ruger just isn't a very semetic name.
Yeah, that part irked me as well.
Stock sights on a lot of pistols are more concerned about being low profile for conceal carry and not hanging on your clothes.
The high shelf thing while a useful trick is still mall ninja tier training hype.
Most people shot in their support arm are not going to have the balls of steel to keep fighting and do stylish one handed charging of a weapon.
And even if your thumb is shot off, you can still grab a slide and rack it with your palm.
I'd get the .45 ACP version, but it's not on the California Roster so It's just my pathetic CZ97B for me.
>...accidental discharges when pulling the trigger for field stripping...
So your telling me people try disassembling their weapons without clearing them?
Hell, racking the slide to set the striker would launch a bullet and thus indicate it was and or is still hot.
Also, if you can't tell your weapon is loaded by weight, you've been working at a desk too long.
I can't take MAC serious, his reviews are far and wide in between... and if you don't pay him enough, he thinks your stuff is shit.
When he did that sound effect at 4:21 my nutnfancy PTSD was trigger'd and his stroke face flashed before my eyes.
>4:21 to 4:30
My heart jumps every time. Next MAC will start making his own acronyms
>dat blocky ass end grip area
Mac has a point on this one, it's like the ruger designers said fuck it half way through and phone the rest in
No, I love the Tavor and plan on buying an X95 once it comes out. He's gone on several rants complaining about "anti-semitism" in response to perfectly reasonable comments. In his AK video, at the very end he plugged a Tavor in it. In several bullpup videos he shills the Tavor and then practically says "oh well we have this gun too".
He may not be Jewish, but he certainly is a shill.
I feel like the American pistol is a good idea not done well. Maybe this time next year a Gen two version will fix the problems. Course I'm not hurting for another striker fired 9mm anyway.
>being this new
clearly you haven't been around long guns that long, people have been shooting themselves and NDing trying to take Glocks apart since day one. Cops seem to do it alot too.
I asked a gun store owner why they rolled this out when the SR9 filled the same role.
His answer was that Ruger is discontinuing the SR9 and the American is it's replacement. They just rolled it out early to segue between the two, so there wouldn't be a break in availability.
That could be complete bullshit for all I know, but that's what he told me.
>Ruger is discontinuing the SR9 and the American is it's replacement
>tfw saving for the 9e
>That fucking knuckle bite
SON OF A FUCKING BITCH
I LOVE RUGER BUT THIS IS WHY I HATE POLYMER
I don't give some fuck about it melting or being plastic or some shit, but that literally EVERY SINGLE ONE OF THEM seems to do this shit. Practice with my LC9s? Hold it different than a normal grip, or get skinned. Glock? Hold it right, or BLOODY FUCKING KNUCKLE.
Good FUCK why don't they get this shit? The PX4 is the only one that didn't do it, and I'd imagine an M&P wouldn't if I shot one, and that's because they had fairly rounded grips. But that makes polymer insufferable; why do they all keep designing the same shit that does that?
Either you don't know what you're saying, or you've found a new way to fire a pistol backwards. Your knuckles aren't near anything that moves... what the fuck is going on here and why are you so mad over something that's impossible?
Watch the video at the top, they describe it well. There's something about the way they keep squaring off where the pistol meets your hand at the grip angles used on these polymer guns that sits them right against the knuckle of your thumb if you hold one in the way that most people are trained. This is especially true with the American pistol, where, with picture evidence, they show how everyone that fired it for their review had the same issue.
That's what I'm talking about. It's pretty simple.
>Racking a pistol against your pants one handed
That is quite possibly the stupidest thing I've ever heard in my life, I can think of no situation where that would ever be useful.
I don't know what "knuckle bite" is, but what he's talking about in the video is a non-rounded corner or edge at the web of the hand which is uncomfortable after shooting for long periods of time, not "bite." The Walther PPQ has a similar ledge at the thumb, pic related, which digs into the thumb.
"Bite" is what happens when the slide tears the top of your hand if you are gripping too high or are too fat.
>So your telling me people try disassembling their weapons without clearing them?
>Hell, racking the slide to set the striker would launch a bullet and thus indicate it was and or is still hot.
Well you can't rack the slide because of the sights. How am I supposed to clear a gun when I can't rack open a slide off my nipples with shit sights?
Watch the fucking video. You're so close.
You're stuck on the semantics of "bite." The recoil pushes that back into the hand and causes uncomfortably or, in some cases, skins the knuckle in that spot. You talked about it. That's all it is. I called it "knuckle bite." You seem to be stuck on the term "slide bite," which I would understand if there was a connection other than "bite."
That's all there is to it. It's annoying that they make those non-rounded edges that are uncomfortable. It's poor design.
>Caring what that bearded cock sucker has to say
People who pay attention to anything Tim says are more clueless than him and should be ignored.
I don't even like ruger pistols.
the issue here is knuckle bite isnt a thing you've got your own conception of what the term means and the rest of us are equating the closest common gun equivalent which would be slide bite
the bite part implies the skin was broken at some point
if you said the gun rubs on your knuckle because the ergos suck its easy to understand but you said knuckle bite
I don't use this often, are you literally autistic? You don't seem to be getting the implication here, you're really stuck on this.
Literally said that. First post. In my experience, it breaks skin, as it has before on another Ruger pistol friends and family have fired for a suitable amount of time. The general soreness is more common. Ergos suck and cause this, I knew what he was talking about in the review. That's it. Connect the dots.
No plastic framed pistol has ever broken anyone's skin without a case failure propelling fragments of frame into someone's hand. Nobody has ever designed a pistol without human hands in mind, it's impossible and incomprehensible.
I don't even know what your end game is with this fallacious argument, but your straw man isn't going to gain you any ground. You're also being confronted by multiple people at this point. You ought just stop at this point, you don't need to slip any lower. If you were a tripfag, your dunderheaded mission would have been a success.
I have doubts about multiple people, and I can't quite go outside and shoot it until it happens and take a picture, but it fucking happens. It's happened to people I know. Maybe we're all retards with thin skin; that's likely. Nothing about this is a strawman? Let's all stop now before we all go lower.
I'm totally right though.
>MAC didn't like it because Bill Ruger just isn't a very semetic name.
>So you have no actual hard facts or evidence
That's his camera guy. I know Tim. I've shot with Tim. I've been in a video. The camera guy has never said anything about being a jew.
