>More of Sully's new store
>Whatever the Hell else you wish to post
Some of these shots are a bit potato.
I'm sure you'll enjoy anyway.
Im looking to get a flecktarn parka but Ivan and Keepshooting seem to be selling two completely different models Which would you recommend?
I'll post all I took tonight.
That's all for tonight. More tomorrow.
Just a nugget, and a box from the crimson caravan, that I received today.
They are the same thing, just different lighting and different ages.
That's looking pretty awesome! What are the differences in square footage?
What'd you get?
gas mask, because why not. face mask, because its -10f here.
Depends on the weather, I've only got the van to work with. Why do you think I was asking about the waffle pattern polypro set?
I would also need to find the bivvy for the old sleep system too.
Maybe the old polypro under wool may help?
I could spend a fair amount of time right there
Interesting, makes sense I guess.
Bought one of these after seeing how comfy it looked. Anyone have experience with these fleeces? Are they cozy or warm at all?
So sully, what's the ERDL rain jacket worth? I don't know if I want to sell it or keep it yet.
This thing is stupid comfy with the Flecktarn parka liner.
I think Telnyashkahakahbro has one.
Toasty as fuck
"I can't breathe" - your body
The new store has no storage areas so the square footage overall is less. For show room space we have slightly more but only slight. I mean in the 30sqft range.
A gortex outer shell would do wonders
Come East and check it out.
Well I'm interested in it so, it is worth $11.30 to me.
I was thinking about grabbing the Lefty one, but it sold before I made my mind up.
What >>28514004 said. I know that's a lot, but it's a quality piece and the pattern is almost an exact to the original. Also there's only ten of them on the planet.
>how much for the fabric
It was custom made and only small amounts remain.
N-Nu uh! This is just really really big!
Better, he should repro this into a wearable form.
I vote field shirt style
What's some good cold weather gear?
Are there good camo patterns for the dry browns of late fall to late winter? Would the same patterns do well enough in snow or would you need specifically snow camo to not stand out?
How well do fleck parkas do with their liners in?
The liners don't have hoods so I'd like to have something better for making my head warm other than wearing a black Russian Ushanka underneath my hood.
How well do Alpenflage parkas and pants do as far as insulation goes? Do they need liners too?
Also how long are the legs on the Swiss alpenflage pants? Worried about them not being long enough for my spindly legs.
Also anyone make good pants liners, or gloves/mittens?
Thinking I'm going to be going for something new and commercial for winter boots instead of milsurp though.
That's actually really ugly.
I want Karst in a Canadian Navy cut.
How do you get custom fabrics made and shit?
Can you get bolts of camo fabric? Like flectarn or US Woodland or whatever? Monolith camo would be fun to have for STALKER cosplay.
Wouldn't BDU cut be the easiest to do? It seems many countries copy that. Pic related
It would be. I don't like BDU cut.
>Karst in a Canadian cut on the other hand though...
Also, come hell or high water, that package is being shipped tomorrow.
>good cold weather gear
Widely available stuff is going to be Flecktarn parkas. They are great with their liners, if you're just sitting around you can just wear the liner without the parka for warmth and comfyness. For your head you could wear a beanie of some sort. There are Flecktarn cold weather caps that have ear folds that come down if you want to go full Flecktarn (there are OD ones if you're into that stuff.
...there are also winter Flecktarn gloves.
I'm talking about this kinda Alpenflage stuff specifically.
How is it?
I already have a fleck parka and a liner, but that's pretty much the extent of my cold weather gear, everything else I've grown out of because we haven't had a really cold winter since I was in junior high.
Just picked a couple US Desert Night Camo parkas. Are these things too long to wear out and about? I mean I'm okay with looking like a camo wearing autist, I just don't want to look like a trench coat wearing autist.
I'll be very surprised if something like hasn't been seen here.
I do think they are pretty long. They are meant to be worn over a lot, so I hope you got a size or two smaller than what you usually wear.
Also, Greatcoats are best coats.
What's the best camo pattern for the chaparral landscape of SoCal? Ranges from desert to dense shrubs and even grassland in some places. Pic related. Woodland/multicam? I'm thinking of getting some pants for chaparral and another pair for regular desert (is digi best).
Suggestions for pattern and brand please.
I really like the pattern and the style, but it's just cut so damn long. Unfortunately I only could get a medium, and it's not even like other US stuff that is medium-short, medium-regular, and medium-long. It's just medium. But yeah it's clearly meant to fit over all the gear including a rucksack.
Pic related... 1/2
Multicam would be good, but I'd personally go with US tri color DCU if I were you.
Is there any significant difference between MTP and multicam? How do you feel about Rothco..yay, or go for milsurp?
Sorry for the newbie questions, dont have any camo gear yet.
They are the same exact colors, just different patterns. I like the cut of MTP much more than the cut of Multicam tops.
The great thing about this surplus, is that it is dirt cheap and built well. The same can not be said about Rothco.
Here's Multicam (mine's beat to shit).
Nope, it's Czech Vz. 85 Desert
Only a meter of it left and it's not for you I'm afraid.
My eyes fucking hell.
Unless it's something really common (i.e. woodland/UCP) you get them custom printed at exuberant cost because you're not buying by the thousand meters.
No way hose, too complex.
It;s a karst parka. You get one off me.
Karst parka. You get it from Telnyashkabro after paying a lot of money. But the way I see it is, I'd pay more than that for the real deal so an approximate pattern in my favorite cut I can actually wear is a small price to pay.
>Serbian guy still hasn't got back to me
I will have that original jacket. By hook or by crook!
Are you saying he's me? And i'll be a hero in the great moon war?
Oh yes that reminds me:
Has any military ever used pic related, or is it just farby DPM?
Saw some dude wearing pic related today, but couldn't start a conversation because I was busy with other shit.
helmet is just about done, just waiting on chin straps right now, what do you think?
I'm down with the street and such, haven't you heard?
>mein kampf sold out in germany three days after being republished
Ive got a EE-8 radio phone from my last visit to warehouse Ivan. He said it doesn't work but I was wondering if anyone here has experience with them. I want to know if it's likely able to be fixed up and of so, what the capabilities of it are. I'm guessing it'll only work with another one of the same model. But it would still be pretty cool to be able to talk to a friend nearby that also has one. Pic s from google but I'll post one of the one I've got later when i get home from work.
So I bought a pair of Swiss military mountain boots. They're pretty comfortable and in pretty good shape for only $20. Anyway, what's all this green crud you sometimes find on milsurp?
You're gonna need some wire.
Are these rare or something?
None of my other auctions have as many views as this one.
I've got until March to climb out of that £1000 overdraft of mine. At least it;s still interest free right now.
They're nice jackets. maybe the size?
If only I'd got a cut pattern for a norwegian jacket.
Ah sheet, the italian with the chest rig etc. I had forgotten I'm afraid.
Stand by for a dump.
I did all my helmets and did half of my last rack, this is going to be alphabetical by country name as usual, no particular order of item.
Here we go.
First "helmet". No idea what the star means, probably a rank.
Also paper towel holders make great helmet stands.
Damn you know, my last big spend was all the trousers.
If you believe people are buying it because of that you're more deluded than I am.
My first DPM, and my first foreign camouflage.
My only helmet I took a ground shot of. Unfortunately this thing is like a size 56, the rubber insulation is deteriorating rapidly, and the suspension and chinstrap were removed.
Don't tell me you actually believe people bought it because of muh hitler fanboyism.
It's germany. Anything even somewhat reeking of anything not blatantly anti-nazi is put down. Even fucking pegida does it's best to not be associated with (neo-)nazis.
Here's a slight oddity. A training DPM shirt? Has anyone ever come across something like this?
It's a darker color than normal DPM.
"This garment is intended for training purposes only"
No, OD, just low lighting.
Don't understand why they'd need a separate garment just for training.
And interesting piece. Used in the Croatian war of Independence. Has an early "Croatian National Guard" patch and a rarer early version of the 137th Brigade patch.
Also beat to shit.
>germany is secretly the third reich
Actual nazi fanboys (and I'm not talking about yokels in cheap urban camo) would track down an original copy or at least one without proof discrediting it.
My first fleck shirt. Tag wore off, so no date. It's an early one though, right arm field dressing pouch, lantern buttons, interior pocket.
Also had an envelope in the pocket.
Need a smaller pair of these.
I do like this ones coloration though.
>January 8 massively exceeded supply, with 15,000 advance orders for an initial print run of just 4,000 copies.
>15000 advance orders
Both numbers are still next to nothing. I bet half of them were bought just to make a buck on resale. "Selling out" means nothing if there's little to sell of to begin with.
I expected more from Hungary. This thing kinda sucks.
Has remains of the Zahal sticker but the date area tore off.
Very thin, stiff yet floppy at the same time. The ripstop feels like sandpaper. Seams aren't the best.
I'd rather get the winter stuff Sportsmans Guide has. That is usually way better.
A collector/reenactor on youtube does ballistic tests of old steel helmets. This thing did better than the East German M56.
This one has seen some use though. You can see one of the chinstraps broke and was replaced with wire.
Funny, that's exactly what's written on my South African uniform's tags.
This thing also has a sweet nape cover.
These next few things should adhere to Alpenfudge's fetish.
I needed 3 tacks to hold this monster up
These things fit perfectly
Too bad nobody differentiates the models. I'd like some of the 50's Alpenflage.
The swiss are very anti-coat-hanger. It;s a colossal weight.
They are drying up though, and the prices are slowly rising.
Especially ones that still have the rank/name on them, or the flag/hood/HV patch.
Damn Alpenflage is racking in the dubs
I need more weegee stuff in general.
Reversible? Say whaaaat?
The OZ stuff has a weird radioactive green
Still looking for trousers and a cap
As you know, I got the OD trousers already.
Wow Captcha, I didn't know pancakes were waffles.
You stupid cunt
That K-pot is named to "SPC Muscle".
They look solid
My mutt M1 helmet with a US liner and Canadian shell, with a 1981 RDF cover.
This shirt has a football card and phone number and address written on a piece of paper in the pocket.
Almost finished guys, onto "Y" now
This helmet has seen some shit. No legible date.
Yeah, they've been heavily used. Allegedly by an SAS guys, but the description of him was 6.5ft brick shithouse and actually that's not true. if you look at real SAS they're just...guys. if they were obvious soldiers they'd never blend in.
One of the few pieces that stank in a bad way. Had it repaired in the traditional manner of putting an assload of stitching over the tears just like the darker jacket I have. I love stuff that's been worn in.
This thing is the tits. Best parka ever. Would be better if it still had the hood and belt.
My jigsaw jacket smells like minty must.
It's probably not far off how he looked.
That's the Federal Yugoslavian crest. The Serb one is the CCCC shield >>28522838
And finished. Stay tuned later this week for part 2/2 of my final rack.
Mine was $15 from a group order with friends back in high school. I think it was Coleman's surplus or something like that.
Mine was $35 shipped.. Wouldn't go higher than $40
Amoeba? This one?
got this chest rig the oher day, the guy i bought it from had it specially made by feredays and its supposedly one of the only, if not the only one stateside, im sorry if youve seen this im just excite
I'm gonna assume you mean this one.
It's not actually experimental, it was issue for a few years.
Anyway, assuming you mean the Dutch seller, yes those are legit. There were only 3 things made in Amoeba:
All other things like this smock and some of the M43s/helmet covers you might see are either field made or custom things made by tailors out of zelts.
Speaking of which, that guy that keeps cutting up Austrian zelts and making shit out of them is pissing me off. Those Austrian zeltbahns are drying up fast, and I know he's cut up at least 10 of them.
I think it's a work/barracks uniform and maybe parades too. From all of the pictures I can find there is not anyone using it while in the field. I originally thought it was the summer uniform that they would wear with webbing, but I'm quite sure I'm wrong there.
then its very few, not trying to be stubborn here, its just its the only one ive ever seen for sale and all the pictures of this type were from his listing for this one on ebay
I can't even find pics of it in use, I wasn't sure. I couldn't find any pre-1990 or post 70's webbing either so I wasn't sure of its purpose.
Allegedly there's a two piece motorcycle uniform too, never seen it.
No spoopy Belgian gear?
>mfw I carry 7.62x25
Is it weird that I measured my foot for a new pair of boots and 10" = Size 8 US but all my Jogging and basketball shoes are Size 11 US and fit pretty Comfy? Would I be a fool for buying these without being certain of my actual shoe size?
Chart I used for reference
the boots I'm looking at
Yes, boots that don't fit right suck ass. Just measure from your heel to your toes with a tape measure. Unless mukluk uses some weird shoe sizing, you won't be able to comfortably fit in either size.
Hey dude I finished the helmet for you, what do you think?
That's possible. I got my great condition one for $80 and my shit one for like $50 (with even shittier pants). This dude is out of his mind with that price.
I'm hoping it fits. 58 is a bit of a tight fit for me.
I can confirm Sully is really a ginger. And that BAC is a manlet.
>sully wears OG-107's too
Hes got good taste in milsurp fashion, also nice german parka.
Incase no one gets it, i found those patches and an OG107 and made the jacket, those shirts are very soft.
>not eating meals with Sully, BAC, and Trench
why even live
>you will never eat meals with those 3 at a meetup
>you will never tell them you're going ot the bathroom when you're really sneaking out to your car to bail it and leave them paying for your meal
Met a Sully at gunshow.
Used the /k/ challenge: remove
He answered: kebab.
I bought a shotgun and have known him since.
BA-C is interested in joining the guys from SEPA I roll with for innawoods stuff. We need to get on that.
Know Hallwayguy and have tried his NFA goodies.
Did the Nuggetfest cleanup.
Turnpike tunnel threads.
Man I'm tripping balls.
I am finding it hard to locate others with this particular hobby in Vancouver and suburbs rip.
In other news have first piece of surp in mail since October minus the patches I got in Hawaii.
By the way sully I think I have an original 9th Corps patch from WWII or Korea.
You're a big guy. It'd probably fit without layering but hm.
"Hello police, there's some kind of white supremacist meeting doing on in my bar. Yes they're all in military gear".
