Anon's extra sprites:
It procs randomly but yes, it may invoke ragnarok. Unless you can stomp dragons with impunity, avoid it, just keep it as a trinket.
It also spawns etherwind and destroys random map tiles.
It depends on the quality of the foodstuff you use to make it. Blessed and cursed shouldn't change it, unsure about +x from ranch corpses or cooking skill.
The one you get from the maid is fixed (+7 iirc).
In both cases whether it's blessed or cursed is random.
Guess no one get their hands on a lot of paintings early in the game. Treasure balls machines and stairs are good for rising ranks, since you can buy them fairly easy.
Also, why thief guild? Fighters' guild have decent sword as guildmaster's quest reward, and mages' guild has scribe. Thieves' just look lackluster.
Hey. I had an epic gene file and save on my old laptop but it got stolen by niggers.
Anyone want to give me an at least semi-decent gene file? Not expecting masses of godly items and thousands of epik potions and scrolls, but just something you yourself used to make a new character. Something with a few Potions of Potential or Scrolls of growth etc. hopefully...
Otherwise, playing a new game in elona+ right now feels soo shit when all my hard-earned shit is gone.
I will appreciate your kindness forever, anon.
I never knew... I did play around with it, but I came to the sudden realization that it really doesn't change much because the PC sight radius is still the same. Functionally, the game operates the exact same as before
This is indeed the true to life rogue-like way of doing things...
still, I feel empty...
niggers was just something I made up to cover up the embarrassing story of how I really lost my laptop....
Like, federal agents took it away, is that a better excuse?
I only now realize this foolishness of mine, anon ;_;
Yes... I might.
Still, I'd prefer a purely human made legit file...
I guess I won't be able to have all my old artifact fusioned equipment again... since I don't remember the specifics... but I can help myself to a fair amount of the other items I had previously...
You're basically asking some anon to snack up a gene file and hand it over without letting you know.
I will say, though, that it is a little enticing to have you as my child, but I'm not able to invest myself in the fantasy the way some other anons might.
warmage is perhaps the most generically useful if you wear something other than light armor. Otherwise you might also be happy with increased crit chance, increased healing, or decreased mana cost.
There isn't a class that strikes me as op. I guess there's classes that make certain activities easier but none of them have anything that strikes me as, "Wow, now I'm this class I can't be beaten. Why did I play anything else."
If that's how you feel that's how you feel but for me, having played all the classes at one point or another, none of the classes struck me as being any more special than the other.
The warmage increased spell casting success is like splitting hairs for me. I was casting just fine as the other races. And I guess it almost goes without saying but starting skills may matter in the beginning but considering everyone can learn all the skills eventually, it doesn't really matter in the long run.
Most tier two rewards are pretty useful. Definitely get Kumi's, reviving herb plants is pretty useful. You can also get additional stones from the little sister quest, and they have separate cooldowns.
Itzpalt's too, if you ever plan to use elemental magic.
Big Sis' stone is an extra 10 pp per month, but it's not as useful after early game.
Get the gods' weapon you plan to use, Kumi's scythe is useful if you don't have Corgon's ring or something else for rotten food. The Lucky Dagger is also pretty good. Same for the Wind Bow, but it's ethereal. Get Itz's staff if you're lacking res.
Pets have their own formula in calculating the damage for their spells since they level individual spells like a player. Casting is a big part of this formula so raising a pet's casting skill will increase the damage it does with its spells.
Enemies shouldn't be healed by your (and in e+, your pets') healing rain in the first place.
If it happens either you're not playing e+, or something somewhere went terribly wrong.
I've been raising the Gardening skill quite a fair bit so far to start a herb farm that won't have any withered ones even when planted during the day. The cost of raising skill potentials had been reduced significantly since the last time I played Elona+, so it had been very easy to do so so far.
There is however an item I've seen people mention that helps significantly with herb farming - the Kurimori Scissors. How do I get one? There's only an entry under 'Other Items' on the wiki that briefly explained what it did, but nowhere else does it mention how you get one. Is it a South Tyris item? I've never actually beaten Zeome before, so never been there.
First you need to be on a bed. Second you need to have the squeeze ability. You can force her to sleep with you and do terrible things to her. After the deed you can get two vials of her love juice.
Corgon's ring, I assume? Nope, not unless you do some memory editing. -27 speed isn't that bad anyway unless you already have terrible speed.
Just copy it over the old version as usual. Make backups just in case something goes wrong.
You're better of reading the change logs, really.
A dozen of them. Have fun!
Okay so, I've finally got my palace.
Now what? I'm not a creative kinda guy.
Well, I think something that every household should have is just a sweet, little cozy room to have all the hot, filthy, nonstop orgies with as many sex slaves strung up on performance enhancing stimulants as you can possibly have. Or how about a outdoor cafe?
The bunched up girls sprite is used in place of number 401 (the mass monster/behemoth) on all the girly sprite sheets.
You'll learn very quickly that levels mean nothing in this game.
You could be level 100 and someone else's char at level 50 could have double your stats / skill levels if they trained their char properly and you didn't.
At very low levels though, whether or not you survive a dungeon is highly dependent on luck - what kind of mobs spawn, whether you get lucky with crits/dodging, etc...
It's called RNG. Welcome to roguelikes and enjoy your complimentary death!
Tip: avoid dungeons for the time being, do board quests, level your skills, then start doing low level dungeons and huntings. Ignore escorts, you'll fail them. Read the pasta, playing elona (or any roguelike, for that matter) without knowing anything about the game is suicide.
You're missing nothing, just need to assign someone and you're golden.
It just takes a stupidly long time for pets to start procreating. Also check the breeding power, the higher the better. "Fast" breeders have a value in the hundreds.
When you assign a mob it will say something like "breeding power". The higher that number, the more likely to spawn offspring.
It takes a lot of time still, either way. Good to start early.
Make sure you fill up a bunch of ranches before you beat Lesimas and you will get a shittonne of spawns after the time lapse.
Has it always been possible to recharge spellbooks of domination?
>only you can read
You made me check which board I was on. Anyway, I recharged a spellbook of domination with Fill Charge.
You can reserve it at the scribe, yes. I think you can get it at level 80 invest, but I'm not sure. I'm at 140.
You load it up with magic vendors, other NPCs, and you furnish it with cool stuff. The higher your house rank the better your salary and get your house rank to 1 and you can invite the gods/goddesses over.
I personally didn't start playing around with the house feature of Elona until recently. Figured after 650 or so hours of adventuring and the fact my character is getting older and the little girl isn't so little anymore,it was time to start thinking about settling down a bit. Wish I had started sooner though. While I have clear ideas for what I want my house to have, furnishing it will be the hardest part as that takes time.
Anyhow, this is my house that is definitely a work in progress. I remodeled the palace.
1) Main hall and servants rooms. Want to eventually fill each of the servants room with a kotatsu, add more beds, and other stuff. Outside is 42 Kumiromi statues for those curious Some are not in the picture. Used for herb seed generating.
2) This will be my ball room. Want to fill it with more tables. The northwest corner will have a piano and maybe I'll change floor paneling here to be a platform. Probably have a bard/band stationed here. Northeast corner I want to be a bar. This is very much a work in progress.
3) The kitchen. Wanted it to have tons of stoves, refrigerators, cabinets, barrels, and boxes. Could be improved but I think it's looking good so far.
4) This will be the game room. Thinking of furnishing it with blackjack tables if possible and other casino related things.
5) The throne room. Wish I had all the solider statues the same color. I have a throne for both me and my little girl and in the northeast corner I have my work desk. Around my work desk I'll have all the presents, new year gifts, chocolates, and other items of affection stacked in piles. Behind the throne room is my bedroom and personal bathroom.
6) The magic stalls. This is where I keep my magic vendors.
7) The classroom. Where my pets come to learn from Yuki, my not so little girl. Also the place where the gods will get reeducated on how to properly govern/take care of the world. I swear I will chain Lulwy to the desk if I have to. That Etherwind needs to stop. Anyhow, want to add more desks and other classroom related items.
8) The church. Not happy with the way it looks but for now it's where I'm storing all the god statues.
9) The vault behind a secret book shelf. I store my artifacts here. Maybe I'll use wizard harvest and dump gold all over the place as well.
10) The outside bath.
Not even thinking about adding additional floors until I get what I have already furnished.
Not him, but for one of the two ranks (heir, I believe it's called? Never understood what the fuck it meant) just drop around whatever unique artifact you can find that you're not using.
For the furniture rank, the treasure ball machines raise it quite a bit. Steal thrones and king beds from Palmia. Invest in the central vendors at the embassy, they sell decent stuff from time to time. Also steal a computer from the Cyberdome.
It's actually pretty easy raising your home to rank one just by furnishing rooms however you want.
The other anons have you covered for your answer. I personally am not paying too much attention to the rank since I'll get to number 1 in time simply because of my ambitions for my house. Most of the stuff I've furnished my house with has come from the invested vendors in the embassy, stuff I've found in the void, stuff I've found in story related dungeons(you can get lots of computers and servers from the story dungeon Machinery Fort). The problem is waiting for the vendors to stock what you want and in a color you don't find jarring. You can also pickpocket things you find nice as well.
If you need just general ideas for house design and what to fill it up with I found moongate hopping a source of inspiration.
Thanks guys. I guess I'll start investing a bit in the embassy NPCs.
>If you need just general ideas for house design and what to fill it up with I found moongate hopping a source of inspiration.
I remember visiting moongates when I first started out and dying instantly most of the time because people kept monsters in their homes or something. I've pretty much avoided them after that.
But that's a good idea now that I'm stronger. I'll give that a try (assuming moongates aren't broken due to lack of server)
Smiths. Black markets have better items, but with the inflated prices they have, by the time you can actually buy something from them you'll have better items from random drops or bosses.
At least blacksmiths still offer improving services, which you may need every time you change a piece of your/your pet's equipment.
That's nothing special. And I'm not even that experienced since I have roughly 300 hours total in Elona. I've seen people with up to 1300 hours on a single save.
I just made sure to keep my negotiation potential high and fucked over some random dungeons. The rewards you get are pretty nice.
No idea. I'd assume blacksmiths simply due to the fact that they just sell more items. Seem to be awfully rare in either case, though.
Not really, unless you plan on moving later.
Just hire more of what you need the most.
Personally I'd say to just hire goods, general and magic. Maybe a food vendor if you need more bread. Everything else pretty much loses usefulness in the late game.
If you have seven league boots, don't keep it. If you don't have the boots or want to be stingy on potions of cure corruption, then it's not too bad.
Also, +1 or +2 your armour and weapons at the blacksmith. It's not too expensive and helps a lot.
Cure it. You're missing faster world map travel with league boots.
There's also something pretty wrong with your speed. It says 68 but it's debuffed. Burden shouldn't get you in red with that bonus from the hooves. Do you have equip that reduces speed? Get a restore from a healer or quaff some restore potions just to be sure. Even better if they're blessed.
>not reserving the gods a room for "special" re-education treatment instead.
But then that would just be Lulwy's room
Great! Cant wait to see it when its done. I'm not even thinking about buying a palace, since I already placed far too much input into just the little castle I have.
the only way to raise this thing is by eating herbs and drinking certain potions right?
Picnic basket in my opinion is the best option, really easy to make and trains every single party member so if you're a pet spammer you'll love it.
Of course you should still buy potions of potential whenever you see one.
I think herbs train the actual stat and not the potential.
I could be wrong but I think higher quality foods (not just herbs) will help you at least not lose potential as fast, if not raise it.
Other thing to note is if you use scrolls of inferior material to make equipment raw, eating anything that has "it maintains <stat>" can give you a buff that raises potential for 1500 turns ("you enter a period of rapid <stat> growth")
In early game make sure you teach cooking to your little girl and sleep at the right time to get breakfast in the morning.
That will help your potential. It won't increase it but it won't drop to hopeless really quickly.
>I could be wrong but I think higher quality foods (not just herbs) will help you at least not lose potential as fast, if not raise it.
You're wrong. All really good food does is provide better stat bonuses when eaten.
>I think herbs train the actual stat and not the potential.
Herbs train potential in the attribute they train, except curaria and stomafilia, those only train attributes.
Do this. The right time to sleep is from 10 to 12, roughly. Give it tailoring or carpentry while you're at it, an extra free miracle/godly item never hurts.
>invest in magic vendor
Yes. I know I started getting them more often after 150 invest. Also on the subject of magic vendors, after you get your economy going, mass buy and bless scrolls of wonder. Easier than reading some books, only way to get some spells, flat 200 stock. Even if you're not a mage, some spells always come in handy.
Keep it up. Especially early game you can get lucky and cook high level food, which sells for tons of money at that point.
The pet breakfast thing like the other anons said is fine from what I experienced, though I've never gotten past great potentials on any of my stat.
Still currently grinding for gardening and buffing up so I can get kumiromi statue and get herbs all day erryday.
How deep into the Void will I need to go to overcome this massive INI wall?
It looks like you think that changing the cast time means a change in damage output.
For me it would rather be a mean to add to the tactical aspect of the game, give every spell it's own flavor and open the way to new mechanics.
I don't have Fron so I can't test it out myself but yeah you'll be going down pretty deep. At lv 360 of the void, where I'm currently training my character and pets, I'm able to get AP for all of my pets. Surprisingly, even God inside Ehekatl is getting AP down here with an INI of 3114/333.
Since Fron has it even worse for INI, I would imagine it will be at least lv 360 of the void but probably deeper. Since I'm not sure how many people are even doing the void in this thread,I thought I'd at least throw up some number help you out. If you haven't been down to these levels before, come prepared. The god type creatures are starting to show up and Yith creatures are all over the place down in these levels.
I know that feel man.
I wanted to get a treasure map on a wish last night so I typed in suremap as the wiki suggested. Got a red treasure machine instead.
Wasn't even in my home and the thing is too heavy to carry so I won't even be able to use it for home rank.
Depends on what you're using the weapon for. If it's for damage you want the hit dice to be big and if it isn't you're going to hope the attributes make up for that damage either through invokes or something else. Most of the time the invokes don't make up for the damage though and I just discard them for bigger hit dice weapon. If it's just being used for resists or something non damage related then you don't care about hit dice.
Wiki is partially outdated/still based on base elona. Use "treasure map" in e+. No quotes. Tested it out in wizard, suremap fails more often than not, treasure map gave me maps every time in roughly 150 wishes.
Thanks, I'll use that next time.
I did copy the Wiki exactly. I didn't go back on it to check the exact phrase when I made the post here though. Either way, calm your fucking tits.
I have gotten bells before when I spammed scrolls of ally for gene engineering targets.
This doesn't work when you are really low level (really low speed, actually). The bell actually dies before you get another turn.
Best way to get one at low level is to use rod of domination.
What is the most mind-numbingly dull aspect of this game?
Why is this big daddy suddenly spamming shots like an A-10?
I cannot believe I only just noticed some of those sprites are from Venus Blood.
afaik, martial arts is bugged currently or is working in a way that kinda sucks. The multi strike doesn't activate nearly enough to make it do enough damage as other modes of attack. I suppose you can get by with the skill if you grind it out, but just know everyone else will probably be having an easier time dealing damage with weapons or spells.
Are we sharing wins?
If you like the space provided by a castle, NPC amount, or the looks of it, sure, buy a castle but the palace is a step above it. If you can save up a million gold what's another million gold to you to buy a palace if you're considering going that route.
I try to role play as other people in video games and not myself anon.
No idea, honestly. My latest character had hilariously op equipment thanks to his father, by the time things managed to kill me I wasn't giving a fuck about money.
Wiki says 1/3 of what you're carrying, don't know if it's accurate as of the latest version.
Drink dammit! I need those boots!
Are there any ways pre-boots that can get me plenty of money fast? I want to start chugging those potential potions before I go hopeless.
Usually I do the Noyal <=> Port Kapul cargo train, but I doubt I could pull it off right now.
Once a pet is full up she's not going to drink from the well. Why don't you drink from the well? Doesn't like like you're full and your character should lead by example.
Can just do quests and sell crap you find in the puppy caves. Maybe you'll get oracle scrolls that sell for a bit of gold.
I've never liked escort quests since it takes up more time than any other quest as well forcing nap.
Just get a pet and have her learn cooking skill so you can raise stat potentials to acceptable degrees early on in the game. To maximize efficiency of breakfast, I avoid traveling around too much when sleepy status hits.
>Just get a pet and have her learn cooking skill so you can raise stat potentials to acceptable degrees early on in the game.
That requires me to learn gene engineering, right?
Guess it's time to play horse surgeon.
I have 3 charisma and no potential to gain charisma, unfortunately.
>Oh man you really should not have settled for such a low roll on Charisma at char creation.
I'm a golem predator, wasn't much of a choice on my end
>Scum about in Puppy Cave until you find two engagement rings for +10 chr.
That will give me two slots for horses to drink from wells and butcher for gene engineering.
>or take your wish and use your idiot girl to grandfather it onto a new character
I'm afraid I don't understand.
If I manage to find a fairy hat I'll probably start drinking myself then.
>If you picked Golem, you're either better off finding the rings or nabbing the nurse or rouge wizard from derphy to pass genes to the girl.
If you want to nab dosh, talk to cargo traders.
That was meant to be "Take your boots, get your little girl's affection up to Soul Mate, marry her, and engage in procreative copulation to create the heir who will be the new bearer of your consciousness."
>If you want to nab dosh, talk to cargo traders.
Can that even function without seven league boots? I remember crawling like a snail tourist across the map when carting snowmen and christmas trees to Port Kapul, so it must be pure hell for someone without the boots.
I'm not sure if my gigantic stone penis will fit.
Just run dungeons, give yourself a DL limit like "no higher than 5" so you don't push up your DLs to unmanageable levels early on. You can probably keep it up nearly indefinitely because the world will probably reset before you can run them all.
Damn, my character is crappy. Managed to beat Azzrssil at level 52, but it wasn't the cakewalk I had expected.
I expect to have even more trouble with ultima, so is it still possible/feasible to steal the railgun off her?
>I'm not sure if my gigantic stone penis will fit.
Doesn't matter, because her penis will fit into you.
For the ammo it depends. According to the change logs for 1.51 fix ammo that is equipped can't be stolen anymore. He most likely will have to beat Utima in a straight up fair fight.
You're going to have a lot of fun with the catgirl in the other chaos fort as well. Well, I wouldn't feel too bad though. Most people have to grind for awhile to beat her. Her speed is what kills most adventurers.
What do I chimera onto my little girl to make her learn cooking?
Tried nurses and wizard, they dont work.
Try zombies or minotaur magicians. The rogue wizard or the nurse should have them though. You may need to gene engineer other skills into her before they show up with it or you're not gene engineering a high enough level rogue wizard or nurse to have the skills show up.
Not too sure, but I think the food-related resists don't count as mutations, as they can co-exist with the corresponding opposite mutation (also when I fed one of my pets it received the "gained a resist" text, dunno if it actually applies). At any rate, I always get creepy dreams so no point trying to get my own resists up
If you've gotten pickpocket I'd suggest going to a party time, killing off all nearby npcs (obviously don't piss off the higher level guys) and stealing a barbecue set over there - it's cheaper and more reliable
Theoretically it's possible but I myself have never gotten a rod of wish this way. The only thing I use alchy rods for are to make zero charge rods into new rods and hope for the best in what it turns it into. The new rods come fully charged. I find this a decent alternative to throw away rods since the rod draw and fill exchange rates are horrendous. Draw and fill should only be used on rods you really want around. Everything above, assuming that you want to either blast at full power or can't use dupli for.
There might be a way to change their appearance, maybe with the PCCs folder, but I'm not sure. In the worst case you can disable equipment showing on your character and decide on your (permanent) apperance during character customization at the start of the game, with the PCCs.
You can go to the ElonaUploader and download a bunch of single sprites and then copy-paste them onto a sheet of your own.
Is there any point to gene engineering casting/magic control etc onto little girls? Can they use spells? How can I teach them spells?
It's not cursed, though. Also as far as I'm aware, selling items in the shop doesn't actually sell them to people, it just destroys them and convert them to gold/other items. I sold tons of those and no one started teleporting, aside from those that already did.
Talk with the pet and select the option about talking about tactics. It's very similar to FF XII gambits, if you're familiar with those. You obviously need to use Anna's custom elona.
Don't think casting does much for them, unless you're planning on teaching them a few spells (or evolving them into witches) but control magic will reduce the amount of damage they take from allied spells (although how the calculation works makes it five times less effective than your own control magic skill, but it's free damage reduction so why not)
That just curses an enemy's items, I believe. That probably won't do much for you, unless you manage to get a particularly hard boss to teleport away, or get assassinated by an unseen hand (I don't know if that would actually work, but it would be hilarious if it did). Since E+ makes it so ridiculously easy to remove curses, it's not as much of a pain as it was, but it's probably still not worth it.
Screen lights up in a blazing inferno and towns people get incinerated. Dragons and giants spawn in a huge batch and start raping and killing. Etherwind starts blowing and if a bard or bards are still alive they become metal and start singing about some generic fantasy themes.
I'm lovin it.
I wish you could stair dance like in most other roguelikes.
How do I seduce Urcaguary and make her stop laughing at my advances?
Yep, grenades are officially the best.
is there a way to fix this? i used the elona custom and my save keep showing me this and saying please exit current world and enter new area and to save in the previous version of the game but the save doesnt load there too
Christ, my follower is about 3 times as powerful as me.
Once I get the herb food / potential potion train rolling she'l be unstoppable.
I just make a copy of the save folder and I store it on my flash drive. When I need to recover from a bug or a corrupted save it I just overwrite the games save folder with my backup.
Is wearing medium armor a must for warmages for the magic equip action?
I've been wondering because I'm feel like I'm not taking full advantage of the class's +5% cast success perk, but 97% cast success is too irritating.
I beat utima - I just realized it's utima not ultima - the raging roar and chaos ball procs really hurt for some reason even with superb resistance and elemental shield.
Frisia next, and win or lose I'll step into lesimas for the first time.
I'm a warrior that plays like a claymore, but I still use Light Armor due to casting.
Just use a lot of blessed flying scrolls to keep armor and weapons light. Use Griffon Scale and many late game armors are pretty light.
Yep, only works with medium armor. I'm also playing an Elean warmage and I'm ignoring that ability for the same reason. Though I also dual wield so cast chance would really get too low for me.
You might try to wear medium, cast magic equip and then go back to light, but I'm pretty sure I read somewhere on the wiki that you keep the buff but it doesn't boost spell power unless you're actually wearing medium.
Good luck on Frisia, with that speed, you'll need it.
This is my current party. I'm a Eulderna Gunner/Mage and so far I'm running with a Valkyrie and the Exile. As a complete noob to sprite working, I took up anon's suggestion to start out in editing and altering sprites I found than building them from scratch. As such, I decided to update my Valkyrie/little girl's sprite since she's no longer 12.
Party works pretty well although if I want to kill anything myself, I need to run solo most of the time. With these two pets out I usually end up playing a support role instead by providing healing and such. In the void I switch from my support role to an attacker though. Things down there are way too strong for me to sit out but all things considered, I'm just glad these pets are strong enough to have my back in the fights down there. It's worth the struggle for all that AP I'm getting. I'm amazed at all the AP I've spent on myself and the rest of my pets.
Probably have to run it at a lower resolution to avoid problems. Game has been around for a long time and I'm not sure it was built with the current resolutions available today in mind sadly. I mainly run the game at 800 x 600 in windows mode due to me loving to fiddle around with youtube in the background while I play or listen to documentaries. If I do run the game in full screen I usually just run it at 800 x 600 as well. I don't seem to have any graphical problems in this resolution. Probably can scale higher until you see things start to break though.
The best compromise I found is 1104x760
Maybe you can find a bigger resolution but I got tired of rebooting the game every three seconds to find a resolution that wouldn't cut the tiles.
They're both pretty good and fill their roles nicely. The Valkyrie is a great tank and can dish out the damage as well. In normal dungeons and some awakened dungeons the Exile however, kills all the monsters before my Valkyrie gets to them but when enemies start piling on the resists, such as in the void, the Valkyrie is able to get in there and start wrecking stuff. My Valkyrie does more damage than my Exile but given that the Exile can do AOE and as you said, has lockdown potential, it's all good. The next order of business for my Exile is to start feeding her magic fruit and have her lean the AP Feat of barrier. Since her MP bar will be pretty big this should help her survive if she ends up getting hit. I've been using all my AP on just raising her casting skill so far though.
That's all the pets I have trained up currently which I actually use regularly. The rest are in the discarded ranch, my home, and in the dojo. The one's in the my house, discarded ranch, etc I just haven't gotten around to using but I do find them neat. Such as the rest of the god reward pets, named NPCs I've come across in my travels, etc. As for how I train my pets I train them one at a time. This works for me but other people might feel comfortable training more pets at once.
I do want to have a fourth party member but I haven't settled on who I will train up next though. I have a lot to choose from. Currently I'm content to finish up music ticket farming for my character before I consider who number four will be.
How would I go about raising one of these? I'm guessing I'd have to grind AP to speed it up like mad, and gene engineer a bunch of limb onto it.
Wait, you mean the opposite, right? The slave master little girls are level 1.
Oh well, I suppose a few tens of millions of gold won't matter much later anyway. I can't bear to part with her.
Oops, was reading the slave master page. Thought level acquired = pet level.
Anyway this is her, and her training cost at the bottom.
I guess this means I accidentally fused the starting girl and kept one from the slave master? I did change her sprite very early though, so that seems unlikely. Or maybe I entered vernis at level 3 or something because I read the spellbooks I started with? Her INI is lower than the valkyrie in >>14654179 though.
There's also someone in the AP page comments who says
>a little girl 2325gp
so maybe... uh. Dunno.
Got back into E+ and the music pack doesn't work.
Been using the one from the nifty page since the start yet for some reason it simply doesn't work now and shit feels weird without.
Anyone have some general things to try?
Frisia feels the easiest of the 3 chaos forts because she just kept going back and forth between the bell and I. Now to finally begin the main quest.
Also someone put up a joke page on the wiki - how do I mark the page for deletion? Or do I blank it?
I'm not sure how INI values are exactly calculated, aside from the general idea that the stronger the pet starts out the higher the INI values, but maybe it's possible the evolution to Valkyrie increased her INI values? The wiki also makes mention that getting AP get's harder in time as you collect it so I wouldn't be surprised if INI values start increasing eventually. I don't know if this is truly the case though.
I like your little girl portrait and sprite btw.
Yeah that is strange. Not sure why my INI values are different. Seems my first number is three higher and my second number is two higher. Not exactly huge differences but still differences to be sure. I also made a new character to confirm if the little girl had a minor variance in INI values but no the values match your little girl's value.
I definitely remember getting my little girl which would become my Valkyrie from the starting pet list when I entered Vernis. I remember being vexed by her originally long name and changing it immediately after getting her. Not sure what the reason could be. All I can say is I've been playing Elona for a very long time and I don't know what version of Elona+ I entered specifically. If INI values have changed along the way for both pets and characters it's possible that my character and pets were just grand fathered in so to speak without having the changes applied to them. It's also possible strangeness could of happened in upgrading.
So I tried changing just one single entry in the music list after letting it generate its original.
Used the cyberdome entry for it; changing it to a custom track in different formats and nothing would play there.
Well shit that actually worked; I feel dumb for not doing that earlier.
Thanks for the help.
Holy shit that's real.
So what damage does it do, physical ?
Or no element whatsoever, not even physical, and so bypassing all defenses ever ?
Depending on its formula, it may be better than all others once levelled/when facing resistances-heavy high level monsters.
It says non-elemental, and effective against enemies with high magic resistance... so I dunno.
Also says very low damage (4d4 when I tried it), and washes away stuff like fires and spider webs. Will make target wet, so be careful when using against enemies with swimming.
I haven't seen the other one yet. Is it a ball-type water spell?
