Does /jp/ play Defence of the Shrines?

I play it now and then.

But it's hard to find games, either it takes 30+min to get a full game or you're against a 5man premade.

Waiting for the translation to get better before I play more.
Still more fun than putting up with fucking Zet.

I've never seen the appeal in MOBAs so no.

I would if I had friends to play with. The game has a decent following in China and Russia I think, but getting a game up on NA servers is impossible unless you have a lot of friends.

I just got to play two games in a row in US east with mostly the same people. First one was a 4v5 but was close dispite of it. Second one we kinda rolled them.

It was fun, i wish us east lobbies were more common.

I'd if it got official servers. Main problem is knowing what the fuck every item does though, it's such a bother.

I used to play it on Warcraft 3, but I don't really like the dota 2 version.

DotS' channel used to have 600-900 players in the chat channel, everything went well until some chucklefucks shows up and shilling soku in the chat channel, telling how soku is a superior game compared to the new DotS 24/7 and makes people want to leave the channel. Not everyone that plays a moba is a terrible person. Occasionally you'll find a player who legitimately sounds like a nice person, and at worst, the people who don't care about winning or losing and don't want to get yelled at stay quiet and keep to themselves.

The point is moot anyway, you don't play a moba for the community, you play it because every match is different from the one before it. The randomness element akin to the human interaction you get daily on the internet is what makes this genre of game interesting, not the people going "mid or feed".

I stopped playing a while ago though because this shit is literally more time-consuming than anime. Instead of doing useful things like learning something new, I was playing dota for 10 hours a day, 7 days a week like a crack addict. Jumped ship before it got too bad, and I don't recommend it to anybody.

There is a rosh that drops an aegis and nutral creeps + ancient creeps. The jungle and midlane layout make it so there are many ways to move arround, thats why i like roaming on that game mode.

What i still cant figure out is how to properly farm them. I havent found any good farming items/a good way to sustain in the jungle so killing neutrals early is hp/mana costly.

What i want is to be able to take the jungle resources like a core could in regular dota after getting a couple levels, but all the 2hus ive tried seem to be bad at killing newtrals unless they have one or two big items.

Being limited to mostly lane creeps makes me feel its not worthed farming unless you are pushing or they are near after a fight, since fighting is so rewarding in this game mode.

The only 2hus i've played more than once are Eirin and Tenshi, both as roaming supports. They are good, Tenshi brings more damage and stuns to the table while Eirin brings healing and invis for team mates.

I played against Marisa before, every single time they just went full rat doto because her third skill damages towers. She seem's alright.

Only plyed Eiki once before but i liked her. Her ult is Doom with aghs.

Indirect buffs. Changes to other heroes and items can make certain heroes really good. Troll was considered overpowered because he was unkitable, had a bash with no cooldown, and can solo rosh at level 9 or even earlier in some cases, though not many people knew about that.

Kanako, Sanae has good skills for early roaming but beyond that she's just a walking ult. Kanako has so much weird utility to her, on top of being a god of pushing, she's way more interesting

Her ult shouldn't cost mana and I'd prefer a ranged aoe version of her Q instead of the current Crystal Maiden ult as a normal skill though. It's powerful but basically impossible to use because lmaonoblink and lmao2.5ssetuptimeforult. Also I wish her W wasn't retarded and actually consistently kept people in the circle

Eirin, She feels incredibly useful all through the game and offers a lot of utility for keeping your friends alive.
I really wish okuu had a different playstyle, it feels like she wants to be in the enemies faces but she doesn't have the survivability to do that, especially when casting your combo practically forces you to drain hp for mana, and her explosion is so easily dodged that it's laughable. I might just be horrible with her, but that's just how it feels to me.

Rumia, her laning phase is rough, but god damn she can get going. Using her ult whenever it's off cooldown is simply enough to keep her in the game. Get scythe and it's game over. Not to mention the 15 second cooldown slark ult and nightstalker movement and attack speed is good too.

I'm not sure what to think of Kanako since i haven't played her, but i played in her team and all i can say is that she makes you zip all over the place which is confusing and her selection box is so big that trying to move close to her is really hard if you have right click deny on since it causes right clicking on teammates to not issue a move follow command.

I was the guy who played Kanako a bunch the other day. Yeah I hate her hitbox.

Skillwise, she's a fairly versatile nuker/pusher support hero.
>Standard Q: Line nuke that damages and pushes back the first enemy in her way, like a short range Mirana arrow that knocks back instead of stunning. If it hits terrain, it does a short AoE stun instead of damage, but this sadly does not seem to mean "hitting the ground," but rather "hitting a wall" or something
>Standard W: Forms a circle that Yukaris people who try to walk out of it to the other side of the circle. Pretty wonky coding means it seems to be hit or miss, sometimes enemies can walk through it, sometimes it's fine. I think staying stationary while it's active is the best way to use it because otherwise it gets glitchy
>Standard E: Flat heal+armor and magic resistance for an ally, or nuke+armor and magic resistance debuff for an enemy
>Ult: Spend a jillion mana to make yourself into a tower, gaining some fairly lame buffs and changing your skills. Skilling it also unlocks your Faith passive, which gives people armor and attack speed if they're in an aura. Going into ult-mode boosts the strength and radius of this aura

That's what it does according to the wiki, but it does not mention which ones it can't get rid of. I think it just said that it gets rid of most negative buffs.

I feel like a lot of her issues could be solved with just minor fixes.

Reduce the ult activation time and mana cost.
Take the mana cost off deactivating her ult.
Take the cooldown off turning off her Ult+E (Seriously why is this a thing? It just makes it so she has to spend like half her mana pool whenever she uses it.)
