No, he didn't. He just bankrupted some of his failed companies which is a standard business practice used to hedge the risk of starting a new business venture. You mitigate the risk to total bankruptcy by managing and investing in separate projects of fields of operations you want to expand to via a separate company. Just shows that he understands how to do business. If he didn't, he wouldn't have money.
