Looks weird, the body is drawn kind of realistic with shading and stuff like that as well as the hair and there is no cell shading going on but then there is that flat face which totally looks like a style that uses cell shading. It looks like the face was shopped in.
Also the shading in general looks kind of weird especially the arm, overall the shadows vary in color which is seems rather odd because it is hard to figure out why, I guess you tried to do bounce light but it doesnt translate well. Lastly the foot on the right looks wrong and I think her hip is not wide enough.
But the most important part is that you should really figure out what your style is, cell shaded anime or a more realistic style a la sakimichan? You should check out some other artists if you see a style that fancies you and then study it.

I know, shit boring pose etc... I'll pose her properly once I've settled on a design. This is just to easily work on a design. She's for a "fighting game," meant to fill that trope of "Kung Fu girl." Which reminded me, I gotta think up an "Evil" version of one of the chars on my roster, and a Robo version of another.

Working on a variant design of this girl first, one which my friend preferred over this one, personally, I like the Chinese braid. I feel it's been lost in time in anime hairs. Twintails on tsunderes are a bit overrated imo.

"manga" style became like that because it looks good. American anime productions are way more stylized to be simple to draw and animate compared to it.

The 2nd sketch kinda looks like it was just barely turned towards us while the 3rd one is a perfect side view. What's weird about the 2nd sketch is that if you just sculpted the lines by erasing the extra scratchy lines off you would a decent drawing. It seems that you're decent at sketching but you seem to have trouble preserving the idea of previous sketches in the final product. For you I'd recommend trying to just learn how to draw cleaner lines and make it so where you can just polish the sketch in a couple minutes instead of having to ink it in a seperate layer because the sketch was too messy. Usually if you're a trad guy you would have to accept that your linework can look different and worse than your sketch, but in digital you can skip the middle man and just refine and edit your sketch.

Art is indeed really hard, but i believe its one of the most fulfilling activities that exists, like music, because of it i keep drawing, i did draw like shit and i knew i would be drawing like that for a while but after a month i saw progress, went from worst than shit-tier to just shit or meh, that made me happy, although i believe making art is one of the most if not the most fulfilling activity that exists i know its not a safe bet if i want to make a living, thats why its a hobby for me and just that, dont think about quitting anon, you put 4 years already

Hey don't beat yourself up, you're probably not even that bad. I often feel people give themselves much less credit than they deserve. I've had many times where I felt like shit over my drawings, especially when I flip the page over and am able to see all the errors. That's why I sometimes quickly turn the page over and cover it with another blank piece of paper. The feeling of when you practice drawing faces for years and still suck shit at them and cant get it right is an even worse feeling. I'm just waiting for that day, the day where I'm finally able to draw the things the way I imagined them to be, but I know each and every time the devil teases you with a drawing you like and it takes another painstakingly long ass grind to get the next best picture that turns out to be shit when you look at it the very next day.. Honestly if drawing was a person or some being of some sort I would get a hammer and smash their head in a million times for fucking with my feelings like a rollercoster.

and styles like these are also here but i wouldnt consider them anime just because these styles use big eyes. Also there are so many styles used in anime that you cant group them all together. I mean look at the difference of something like Little Witch Academia and Cowboy Bebop or anything from Kyoto Animation and Jojos Bizarre Adventure. The Ping Pong anime isn't even what you you mean when you say anime style but it still is anime.
Cool pic you got there, though it feels kinda weird that all of his fingers completely wrap around the handle except for his pinky finger which doesnt even come close. The tidies of his are a bit big, or is it supposed to be a a fat female ogre? The face certainly looks a little less masculine than you would expect from an Ogre-thingy like that. Also the boar looks kinda seductive, looks so alive. Is it supposed to be dead. I like the legs and the feet, they look really good, and the walking looks completely natural.
