I usually turn off my power strip after I shut off my computer. When I turn it on and then turn on my computer, it boots up really fast. However, when I have the strip on for a long time and then turn on my computer, it takes way longer to boot from Bios to Windows. Any reason for this? It isn't a serious issue but I'm just wondering what causes it. It can't be the strip because it's done this with multiple kinds and the one I use now is heavy duty and brand new.

If not, I can't get this old computer to power up.
When i hit the power, the power LED lights up and then immediately turns off, followed by a slight crackle (not a beep) from the mobo speaker. The fans do not start up. It's on 110, not 220.
The computer will then refuse to turn on again for a while, i haven't timed how long but no more than a couple minutes.
The LED on the mobo suggests that it does have power and is at least working enough to light it.

I tried cleaning the whole thing, checking all of the connectors, reseating the ram, disconnecting hard drives and disk drives and a bunch of random shit i found on google that did absolutely nothing. Nobody seems to quite have this exact problem. I do not have carpet, so i doubt static fried anything.

An unknown device keeps popping up.

My phone's wifi and bluetooth keeps disabling itself. Whenever I try to turn on, it will immediately turn itself back off. I've rebooted, factory reset, tried FXR WiFi fix and restore, and turned off scanning locations in settings. I'm at my wits end here and I have no money to buy a replacement phone. I wanna make a hackintosh out of an old machine I have laying around. I've gone through several guides on how to do it but the issue is the machine is older so it will only boot from legacy boot sources and it can only use MBR formatted drives to boot from. I've successfully managed to get it to boot into Clover EFI but when I boot OS X I get an Apple logo and then it crashes, no matter how I set it up. I've installed the FakeSMC and NullCPUPowerManagement kexts but they don't seem to make a difference. The hardware should be compatible, it's got a Core i5 and Intel graphics. Any advice?

Trying to dual boot Windows and Arch (Antergos) but for some reason the install according to the documentation doesn't put grub onto my /boot/efi partition (it's in /dev/sdb2) like it's supposed to. It keeps grub on my USB stick for whatever reason and when I try to reboot without the stick it gives me a "no boot disk found" screen.

Is there a way to manually install grub onto my boot drive specifically without wiping everything?

I tried installing grub from the Antergos preview mode but it seems hidden partitions can't be accessed by the default account.

You should research in how a computer actually works

the idea is: that you put in your ''install media'' (usb drive with windows) and install it from the usb drive to the hard drive on your new machine

Then it will automaticly pick the drivers and will install everything correctly

Thats what we call a fresh install, you wipe all the old stuff and start fresh with windows getting stuff ready for you

Honest opinion is to setup a server. I don't really like huge drives so tend to stick with 3tb drives and split everything across them, but as you're storing games you could go with 3 x 3tb drives, put them in a small form case with some old hardware you've got laying around and then empty your existing drives onto them.

Yesterday I installed a PCI wifi adapter in my PC, I had been using a usb dongle before that. today, my keyboard would not work on any of the back panel USB ports, so I moved it to the front. I managed to use it to make a post here, so I know it was able to type a little bit at least. after restarting, it would not work in any USB port on my PC. the mouse works fine on all ports, so do other things. As of right now I'm using a netbook I have, but my PC is essentially unusable, which is especially bad and the problem is urgent because I have to write and compile a few C programs for a class I am taking.

I replaced kingroot with superSU but that still didn't turn on my WiFi. My Bluetooth did turn on for a second, but didn't detect anything anyway. I got an amp that does 100 watts x2, 8ohms.

It works just fine with two speakers rated at 10-80 watts per channel and 4-8 ohms.

Now I want to add two more speakers rated at the same levels.

Is the amp able to handle two more speakers? I don't plan on using 2 speakers at a time for the most part but occasionally I'll be using all 4 at the same time.

ive just changed some stuff in firefox's options (which im guessing is whats caused it) and now 4chan's banner aren't loading, the settings/native extensions all fucked up and etc
