how do I lock files in sense that system refuses access to them because they are opened.

I wrote script that backs up stuff, we run it on one machine and it skipped opened database filese and shit

so now during weekend I am home, I want to test some shit, and the fucking script works when I have just opened files in notepad or paint or whatever... these fucks dont lock access to files... so any program comes to mind that might?

I'm trying to replace a couple of harddrives in my computer but before I do, I want to move all the information to the new one.

The problem is my bays are all full and I don't know which bay is which drive (C, E, G, etc).

Will I cause any damage if I pull the SATA connection or power on the harddrives while the computer is running so I can figure out which drive is which?

For what it's worth, I do know which harddrive contains my OS but that's the only one I know of.

1. Top[ Picture : I have this 3 in 1 charging cable directly connected to my power bar (it has a USB 5v output). It charges all my devices fine, BUT when I put a converter in to charge my PS3 controller, it doesn't charge.

The same converter I use when I use a standard micro usb cable connected to my PC's USB port and it charges the controller fine. Why?

2. Bottom picture : I have a Mini-B Micro USB OTG cable I use to connect the same PS3 controller on my S4. Works fine

Now I have an S8 which is USB-C, and I have this micro USB to USB-C converter but it won't work. Why?

I had to recompose some browser settings and ended up disabling some 4chanX settings. I reenabled most of the ones I wanted except the "download file" button that's usually next to the filename instead of a drop down menu. You check the MD5 of the file and compare it with the MD5 you were given. If both match, you're safe. If you stick the MD5 in google it should also give you results.

I had an old Win7 disc I ripped the ISO from and am currently burning to a USB using Rufus since new laptops don't have dvd drives anymore.
I actually have an old key, too. A friend had me dispose of a computer for him and I took a picture of the key on the side.
My only concern is that the software preloaded on the new laptop could somehow work specially with the laptop's components and that removing the software would shut off those components.

I think you will see some problems with your plan.

Still the safe way to do it is this:
Download the Windows 7 Ultimate iso(en_windows_7_ultimate_with_sp1_x64_dvd_u_677332 or X17-59465.iso).
Use Rufus to make your USB Bootable.
Download MSI Smart tools because with new laptops you need to add USB 3.0 and AHCI drivers to the installer.

Now go into your laptop BIOS, disable Secureboot, turn SATA mode to IDE/compatibility, change UEFI to Legacy/CSM, turn off TMP.

Then you will be able to install it.

speedtest.net says that I have normal ping and speed but the internet is slow as fuck and can't maintain connections. Half the time I have to refresh sites like 3 times to stop getting a couldn't connect message. Websites hosted in the same state as me take at least 10 seconds to load.

Online games say I have perfect ping but they will have random lag spikes not reflected in any tests. I can't maintain a VOIP programs (though it seems that it mainly affects outgoing traffic, so I can hear but can't say anything).

Offset +0.001 and turbo at 1.28. Stresstesting with asus realbench for 3 hours vcore never exceeded 1.248 stable on mutithread it runs 1.152v. But when playing dragon age inquisition I get a bsod with a code about my cpu crashing. Should I return the mobo and change brand completely cause I see anus users only have this kind of problem?

Alright, so I'm trying to play some old flash games from my childhood, pic related, cartoon network stuff. I had to download flash player to play them, and I got some of them to work.

However, half of the old games on cartoon network's site won't load! They say the plugin is not supported. When I right click, it gives me some line about application/x-director.

From my google searches, it seems this is something to do with Shockwave player (which I also have installed), but nothing I do and the old plugins I download don't seem to make the games work. I've tried this on every browser, is there some flash/shockwave emulator out there that I can use?

Get a cheap one for school and use the gaming one as a "desktop" if anything. It's rude, but if I were you I'd probably just sell it and get a school laptop and a desktop for my dorm or home.

Also this. I carried a thinkpad years ago and it was more inconvenient one might assume. Then I bought a netbook and that hit the spot (that was the time everyone had one in college).
Not that you really need to carry a laptop to college anyway.

Try it anyway, they treat reports arbitrarily so it might work. Also try googling what kind of reports tend to work vs. facebook.
