But I'm still not sure whether to order the Mi 5S or Mi 6 since my LG G3 had a literal meltdown 2 days ago. I dont like the lack of headphones jacks and Im unsure about the cameras sensors / quality. I doubt they put in 2 IMX378, so I'd rather have one than 2 worse sensors.

Percolator anon here, I got my second-try 10$ percolator, exact same type.

First one had a weld crack "fixed" with rubber waterproofing compound, fuckers. Leaked.

The second one has (had) a similar looking defect in the same place, no fix attempted and doesn't leak yet. I sighed and took a sharpening stone to it to uncover the hole more see how bad it was, this one is only cosmetic misfit or extremely small, doesn't leak in test, no rubber fix on the outside, however the inside is stained brown in inaccessible bottom (coffee? heat discolor?) so there might be rubber inside. Second crack does look similar and would be rejected at QA.

So. These "Expresso Maker" percolators are seconds, returns, or rework being sold off no-comeback due postage costs. One is functional but doesn't change facts. Likely to be a monstrous defect rate, the welds are tiny, finicky and high stress. In fact, every seam might be pre-sealed with compound first time they were made and there was no rework, just sealant leakage. Also chinks might be using lead solder, cadmium steels, the steel might be recycled nuclear fuel rods, IDK. Also as often seems to happen both boxes came smashed to hell and back, maybe post did everything, maybe chinkmaker be a saint in all this and the solder is edible, IDK. Do not buy.

If you want a stainless percolator, make sure you can return it no cost. For me it would be preferable to go to a discount warehouse shop and inspect weld seams rather than gamble with seconds shenanigans online. Don't have to wait 2 months, etc.

Got my concentric circle bohemian rug style mouse mat today. It was only £2 from Banggood at the time.

I thought the rug thing would be a gimmick but there really is a softer fabric on top of a normal mouse mat base that gives a pseudo-rug like effect. My chink Deathadder is still smooth on the surface, it's just noticeably softer than a normal mouse mat. I worry it'll be really difficult to clean but I guess replacing it is no big deal. Looks hipster/10.

They look real nice with its smokey black plastic (better than the original anyways) and they sound even better.

The treble sounds nicely sharp and the bass isn't too bad, but it isn't too great either. With earhooks, the fit is improved (it keeps falling out without the earhooks) so I can now bike/jog with them and the bass is slightly stronger; the sound is much less "open", though.

The normal black and the polarized ones feel fine, the matte ones feel very cheap and a bit sharp. 50 x2 hair bands, they feel good and smell a bit weird soft and should last me ages though. Phantom Power is just "batteries" it will turn on the fucking microphone, sure it will increase a bit the sound, but not by a lot.

What you need is an audio interface, the cheapest one is the Behringer UM2 ($40 USD), the audio interface provides Phantom Power, but what would make your mic sound louder is the PRE-AMPLIFIER aka the GAIN knob, the Pre-Amplifier of onboard sound from PC/Laptops/yadayada, is SHIT that's why it sound so low and crappy.

It isn't about "pre-amps" or "gain" like you say, it's the quality of your motherboard vs a superior sound in an external interface. If your motherboard's on-board sound is noticeably shit then add a USB sound card and wire the PP'd BM-800 into that. No one needs to use their motherboard's sound on /csg/, chink sound cards are dirt cheap and a lot of them are great. Telling people they NEED a $40 interface to have a working BM-800 is just straight up incorrect. A $13 PP supply and a $2 USB sound card gets you the same result.

Depends on your budget, as ever.

The cheapest way I can think of to get something with a meaningful degree of customisation would be to build one with an SP Racing F3 brushed controller (£10), a Q100 frame (£5, don't have this frame but have heard good things about it), £10 of brushed motors and £10 of batteries plus a cheapo USB charger. The FC will run Cleanflight/Betaflight so you can dick around with settings to a truly autistic degree.
However, this doesn't include any radio gear. The cheapest option is the Flysky FS-I6 for about £35, plus another £7 or so for a tiny receiver since I don't think you can get the ultra light ones bundled with it. That's a big investment but it's a damn nice 10 channel transmitter with a range of a couple of kilometres, so it will come in handy should you decide to get an AP quadcopter/plane/heli/whatever in future.

If your budget is more like £7 than £70 the FQ777-124 is fucking fun and very portable thanks to the transmitter also being a storage case/charger. Everyone also wanks over the Eachine E010/JJRC H36 in that price bracket. I've not tried them but I understand that it's easy enough to fit them with a proper flight controller to satisfy your programmability requirement, though then you're back to needing to spend £35 on an autistic transmitter.

Showing even a tiny bit of restraint when flying a "racing" quadcopter after a couple of hours riding a motorcycle around largely deserted back roads is really hard. I know I ought to turn down the rates, dick with the expo settings and just punt it a couple of hundred feet in the air and slowly pan around but I can never resist the temptation to prick around for longer than five seconds.

I don't pretend to be anything other than an epileptic Stephen Hawking when it comes to flying it but I hope my jerky unwatchable weebms at least help demonstrate what can be technically achieved by handing over <£200 to our Oriental chums.

If you just mean a normal headset then you can get one with a screen and built-in 5.8GHz video receiver for about £50. I have the Eachine EV800 which I think is completely jaw-droppingly amazing but I have no frame of reference because they are the only goggles I've tried. I don't know whether they're still the top meme in the budget goggles category but they're still around and the price hasn't dropped so that's a good sign.

You can buy a micro USB 5.8GHz receiver that plugs into an Android phone, but unless you want to use it with Google Cardboard or whatever and save £20 versus getting some dedicated FPV goggles I don't see the point. Alternatively you can get various standalone receivers that just shit out a regular analogue video signal that you could hook up to a video capture card.

I can get about 1000m from my highly illegal 600mW transmitter under absolutely ideal conditions. I'd say in flight 500m-750m is more realistic. I know fuck all about EM wave propagation so it may be possible to substantially improve upon that.
