Archie has been anti ultra thin lately, citing service costs, but he still pushes complicated reversos, wouldn't a reverso date or duotime cost just as much or more than a three hand ultra thin?

Budget is extremely tight, so I'm probably not buying anything even from the lower end, but it'll be nice to have a look, or maybe even get a preowned

>anecdotal evidence
the thing is: maybe your watch was 10 seconds fast, then 10 seconds slow the next day. maybe if it was left in one specific position it would have been 30 seconds fast now.
and more importantly, maybe if you buy another one it will run much worse. with a chrono, you are 100% sure that at worse, it will be +4/-6 per day. Often better, but never worse, no matter the conditions.
>>
>>59416882

Why would you leave it in a specific position that made it gain 30 seconds? It's only going to ever be stored dial up.

No that is kind of the classification of a dress watch, to be understated and smaller than a sports watch

Thick bezels are usually reserved for a dive or sports watch, incorporating one doesn't necessarily disqualify something as a dress watch but it certainly doesn't make it one.

I'm looking for a nice watch as a daily beater. It should be a German watch (don't know what's my obsession with it. I guess it's because I'm German).

Optimally I want a watch which looks sporty and can be used as a dress watch at the same time. Knowing the infeasibility of that, I stumbled upon the Laco Berlin as a classic dress watch. I think it would look great with a Nato strap as well, making it much more sporty.
What do you think? Do you change the straps of your watch, depending on the occasion?

P.S.: I'm open for recommendations. My budget is around 1k Euro (+/-).
