This is apparently a new deepflash cable that is needed to put the device in EDL mode. Instead of shorting the black and green cable, the cable for this one requires shorting the black and white one. Update: I pulled the screens out and now they're noticably louder. The issue isn't so much that they're flat but that they perform poorly at high volume, lots of distortion on the low end. Now I can use them at lower volume and they sound alright.

Redmi Note 3 Pro International Edition or Redmi 4 Pro? Currently have a Redmi 3 16gb/2gb and it's getting pretty fucking unbearable due to ram management even with miui optimisation off.

Plugging into a phone? I don't think so. A phones antenna is a small, small chip soldered to a PCB. You'd have to replace the PCB, the chip, or something to that effect. You effectively will need a hotspot, or a physical solution. I saw one youtube video purporting that an antenna that they have, with a small self-adhesive pad could boost signal. I don't know about its efficacy, but I imagine it could work.
