Spent hours last night on Ebay and Ali trying to find a 5 button mouse for close to a dollar to replace the Deathadder I smashed but the cheapest I found was almost $3 and had mostly shit reviews.

Tempted to just go to the local store and buy a decent one for $30 or a used pic related for $20 if there isnt anything for close to $1.

I bought a Mi Mix and its been great so far, but if I keep my finger on the scanner just anywhere in the system one cpu core starts using all its cycles for fingerprintd.

Does anyone know if its a hardware error or if they can fix this in the future with a software update (for example lowering the scan rate of the reader?)

$4 chinkulele - I bought this only because of the price. surprisingly it almost plays like a real instrument, although it doesn't stay in tune and the fingerboard is too small for adult hands and I had to zip tie the zero fret to stop it from buzzing.

As for the phone? Its neat but also has a few drawbacks. To start the screen is super sexy, the colours are vivid and the phone is really fast with the 6gb ram and snapdragon 821.

The lack of bezels is both its best but also its worst. The edge rejection works great in the systemui and most applications, however on games or things that implement their own render this edge rejection does not work. Just holding your phone and having a small part of your palm on the screen gets seen as a touch event. You need to hold your phone in a somewhat awkward position like pic related

Goys, I think I've finally decided my opinion on the Mi In-Ear Pro HDs.
I had a week of not listening to any in-ears while I had the flu. Apparently these white blood cell death squads also took care of my inner nigger. The bass on these earphones is just fine. So now I think they are definitely better than the old hybrids. Worth the price? For me, yeah, but I don't know if these are necessarily the best sound for money (I have no clue what's available in this price range). For me the build quality is also pretty important, and these are pretty nice and don't feel like chinkshit.

Second (and third) autism cube arrived today. I wasn't quite happy with my $4 Gearbest cube (left) so I ordered two more different ones from the same seller on Aliexpress based on the photos. The two new ones ended up being exactly the same as one another except slight color, unfortunately. However, overall, the quality is much nicer.

The joystick isn't complete garbage, and while it's not a flat slider it's extremely responsive and springy like a real joystick.

The ball has much more resistance but does actually click when pressed. I'll try adding some grease to it. The rollers are very light and loose, completely unlikely the hard clicky Gearbest ones.

The buttons are sadly more like shitty rubber remote/calculator ones, with a rubber dome actuation, but three do click when pressed far enough past the dome actuation while the other two don't. Gearbest has the nice hard plastic clicky ones although they aren't very silenced on two of them.

The switch is very crisp and takes little effort to flip, the Gearbest one takes more effort, has a small middle position, and doesn't move far in either direction.

The spinner is slightly wider overall with a wider bump. It's much easier to spin around than the other. The seam on this side of the cube isn't nicely joined.

Last the breathing stone or whatever is much deeper while the Gearbest one is subtle.

I didn't have any joy going the wireless route. About the smallest I found were the Bluedio N2 which stuck out too far so the base of the helmet would knock them out of my ears while putting said helmet on.
What worked for me were fake comply tips. Not only do they act like earplugs and help keep out wind noise, but they also do a really good job of stopping the headphones working their way out of your ears mid-ride.

I took all three apart, ruining one in the process but it's okay because I have the second identical one. Basically both have screws underneath the spinner which pops off. The Gearbest one has a nicer shell that snaps together, the new one is thicker but simply slides apart.

The Gearbest buttons have actual microswitches, with the "silenced" ones merely smothered in grease. The new one is indeed the typical rubber and metal domes, which I plan to mod with the microswitches later. The spinner has actual ball bearings. The switch and joystick both use magnets, I might dampen them later. I loosened the tension on the ball and added silicone grease to smooth it a bit. There's condensation inside the plastic wrapping of the power supply, so it got wet inside as well. There's obvious corrosion starting on some of the outside screws, including the DC ones, and on part of the outer grill, there's water residue on the bottom and side of the case and on the side of the plastic housing for the terminals.

There's no telling how wet the board inside got, I could open it but I have to cut the warranty (lol) sticker to open it up and I will wait until I get my refund for that at least.

Bought a MAX7219 led matrix from banggood. However, when I hook it up to my arduino and try to drive it, it only turn the leds on in 3x3 clusters.

Double checked the wiring and it seems to be solid.
