It is supposed to work with pinterest but it doesn't find any files when I try it, and I think it might be my pc blocking the connection.

I've been profesionally a Sharepoint developer in the past 9 months, and I've learned alot about the platform and what-not. Altough I feel like I don't know enough, does anyone work with Sharepoint and can recommend some resources?

It's a great platform for CMS and everything but some corners of it are literarlly shit, for example most of their oob design is with tables. I just want to get good at it.

Is there any way to stream audio and video files via the command line?

I've used ftpfs and sshfs in the past and the performance isn't really consistent for me. The fusemount also crashes on me often. I don't want to use kodi or similar I would prefer a lightweight solution.

how do you boot straight to os/login screen in ubuntu?

keep getting a menu (grub?) menu come up when switching on
>>
>>52650987
It's the bootloader choosing which OS you want to use located on it's specific mount (f.e. /dev/sdaX).
You need it though. What you can do is shorten it's apparition at boottime to a minimum. Or you can use a splashscreen as a cosmetic solution. Up to you.

I applied clipper oil to a GPU fan yesterday, and now it's actually noisier/grindier than it was before. Not sure what I did wrong, but in hindsight, I don't think the fan needed lubricant anyway. It was just running at an unecessarily high speed due to poorly applied thermal paste. Is there anything I can do to fix it now?

Been getting LITERALLY constant ping (as in, at a constant interval). It gets better sometimes, but this happens too often and it's fucking over my games.

Things I've ruled out as possible causes:

- Router, the ISP, local bnet in general (line works flawlessly on other computers)
- The servers themselves (again, the other computer is pinging to the same server)
- Wireless card issues (tested it with an external wireless card, works just as bad)

So the last thing I'm thinking is I might have installed something fucky, or my hardware is just dying in general (not just the WLAN card). Problem is, I don't remember what I installed, and my last backup was 6 months ago.

Should I do shit like go into safe mode and stuff to confirm if it's actually a hardware issue? Got any other analytical solutions I can take?

I live in Eastern Europe, where torrenting is very loosely handled, and you can torrent any amount of copyrighted data without any consequences. However, I am currently staying in France for 2 weeks, and was wondering if I could get into trouble/any warnings for downloading shit like h-games and other obscure stuff. I don't really want to risk a fine or something (if those are even given for torrenting), since I'm staying at my relatives and am using their internet. Any tips/advice?

hybrid sleep decreases your hdd/ssd life time
for other parts it doesn't really matter if they run or not as long as they stay low temperature and aren't being overvolted

it's your wlan card

Sometimes when I'm torrenting, regardless of the speed I'm torrenting at, my network almost shuts down except for the torrent, any non-torrent connections are unuseable, browser pages don't resolve. But then sometimes it's fine. Like right now I'm downloading Solidworks at 1Mb/s, the speed my network connection tops out at, and everything's fine, I can browse as if no torrent were running at all.

What's up with that?

Apparently, going into safe mode + networking, and then restarting again, fixed it.

Could someone explain information entropy to me?

Assuming that there's tree alternatives (X, Y, C) and they have the following probability:
>P(“X”) = 0.8
>P(“Y”) = 0.1
>P(“Z”) = 0.1

Why should I code them with the following binaries (X as 0; why shouldn't I code it as 00 instead and keep them all double digits?)
>"X" = "0"
>"Y" = "10"
>"C" = "11"

Is it simply to save bits due to prominence?

Yes. You want to Tx the fewest bits possible, so you code the symbol with the highest probability with the lowest number of bits. If you look up a walkthrough of a Huffman coding tree it should become pretty apparent.

No responsible site would give you the hash for someone's account, even if you appear to own it: the hash is not normally available even to support staff.

When a website doesn't keep those hashes secure, they "leak" out and one of those leaks is your most likely source of hashes you haven't yourself created.

Hash leaks are regularly pastedbinned on the /z/ board for 4chan gold members

>>
>>52659500
Yes. I'm doing it on 8.1 currently, but I'll explain it to you. Should be the same way.

Lets say you have four 1TB HDDs.

Under storage spaces in Windows you create a raid 1 span on drive 1 and 2, and another raid 1 span on drive 2 and 3.

Under diskmgmt.msc you will see two virtual drives. (The two raid 1 spans)

You right click, link them together as stripped (raid 0)

Under my computer you will see one drive. Ta da!

If a drive fails the raid 0 is unaffected, under storage spaces you will see a failed raid 1 span. You replace the drive and rebuild the raid 1.

Also note it's called raid 10 (1+0)

How can I prepare for programming in a corporate environment? Anyone know any online guides to how they usually operate, what concepts they make use of?

I just wanna seem knowledgeable for my first day on the job

I understood though. No worries. I appreciate you answering in such detail.

Haswells are completely fine. Really consider building a PC before you spring for a laptop. There are a ton of builds on pcpartspicker in all price ranges that wold suit you very well. A pc always has room to grow.

So, I want to put sim B into my iphone which has sim A in it, Sim B has data (mobile broadband) and sim A does not..
When I put sim B into my iphone it asks for activation, it wants me to connect to the internet thru wifi or connecting to itunes via usb but the only internet i have is by using sim B.... what the absolute fuck, why does apple make it so hard to do something as simple as changing my simcard...

I'm trying to make a set of data validation tools for me to use throughout my semesters.

Right now I'm trying to make a tool that ensures text entered into a JOptionPane is a number, if not, it will ask the user again.

I want to make the tools as easy as just calling upon the method and giving the variable, abstraction and what not.

public class StringIsNumber {
public static void isNumber(String userValue) {
boolean isNumber = true;
do {
int uv;
try
{
uv = Integer.parseInt(userValue);
}
catch (NumberFormatException e)
{
JOptionPane.showMessageDialog(null, "Your input was not a number, please try again!", "ERROR", JOptionPane.WARNING_MESSAGE);
isNumber = false;
//go back to the original JOptionPane
}
} while (!isNumber);

}
}

What would I have to do to direct the file back to the original project to redisplay the original JOptionPane without having to hardcode the original JOptionPane each time?

If it's a good job they'll train you. They won't expect you to know everything on the first day. Just be nice and try to be charismatic. Even if you end up not being a good fit for that job they'll keep you on the payroll because you aren't a dickhead.
>>
>>52659855
the whole design is wrong. the method isNumber should only return true or false, but should not handle the further process.

this while loop should be at the joptionpane place.

String input = optionpaneWhatEverInput();

while(!StringIsNumber.isNumber(input) {
input = optionpaneWhatEverInput();
}
// go on

This is the most easiest way to do it.
>>

Did you switch carriers? If so you will have to have your iphone unlocked.

In the process of trying to install Plex on a Debian 8 home server and I am hitting several dead ends. I tried following the guide on their website for a linux installation (https://support.plex.tv/hc/en-us/articles/200288586-Installation) and that just did not work. I was getting an error that said the package couldn't be found even though I had it downloaded.

Now I'm following this guide (http://www.htpcguides.com/install-plex-media-server-on-debian-linux/) and I'm getting something about the type of file not being known. I'm having a friend help me out but I was wondering if any of you guys have had similar troubles.

Thanks anon.

But now I'm running into a bad operand type.

Here's what's in the original file now:
String userValue = JOptionPane.showInputDialog("Please input a value");
while(!StringIsNumber.isNumber(userValue)) {
userValue = JOptionPane.showInputDialog("Please input a value");;
}

and this is what the method looks like now:
public class StringIsNumber {
public static int isNumber(String userValue) {
boolean isTrue;
int uv;
try
{
uv = Integer.parseInt(userValue);
isTrue = true;
return uv;
}
catch (NumberFormatException e)
{
JOptionPane.showMessageDialog(null, "Your input was not a number, please try again!", "ERROR", JOptionPane.WARNING_MESSAGE);
isTrue = false;
}
return -1;
}
}

Pls no bully, I'm trying my best as a freshman.

Prices don't fluctuate significantly outside of large sale events like black Friday.
The wait meme is rarely the best option if you are already in the mindset that you need an upgrade.

what image viewer can i use that shows only picture and no border or anything
>>
>>52660526
You are reinstalling, why would you have problems?

1.Download the ISO from MDL.
2.Install windows, skip key.
3.Once installed (I hope you have downloaded this from another PC or your phone) run 3DPN to install network drivers and the others if you want.
4.Download Daz Loader (From MDL again).
Done.

Will using a proxy help keep my ISP off my ass about torrenting? They've never bothered me so far, but better safe than sorry

a VPN, which costs almost as much as a seedbox and is useless for private trackers.

How would one implement the logic behind personalized suggestions?
Consider this example:

>user visits website for the first time
>user is presented with a selection of random objects
>user likes/dislikes objects
>these likes/dislikes affect which objects are presented in the future
>after a while user is hopefully presented only with objects he likes

How should the likes/dislikes be stored in a db?
Any insight is appreciated.

My computer is like 5 years old and the fan is getting quite loud, I'll upload a vocaroo if you want one to hear it.
I want to open it and find where the problem incoming from to try and fix it.
If a part needs replacing, wouldn't be better for me to buy a larger computer case or is a slim tower not really an issue in regards to PC parts.

I have 3 drives in my computer. I have an SSD for Windows and a Mechanical drive for storage. I also have a drive that I'd like to put Kubuntu on, but I can't seem to get it to boot at all.
