I was in your same position. I joined what a few weeks ago and have been lazy to become elite there but Tehc has a lot of movies and in my first few weeks I had to just download select older films that are seeder surge.

For you to begin to build buffer(so you can download more films) download the motw each week. which is posted 8am every sunday, they have posted it kinda late though like after 9am but definitely in the morning.

Personally, I don't see the problem here. Let's say you spend $20 on a request to get 20GB (and generally, you'll do much better than that) That $20 enables you to download ~60 FLAC albums (at ~330mb each) or ~240 albums in V0. That's a ridiculous amount of music for $20 and at the same time you're increasing your seeding size making it unlikely you'll need to fill a request is the future.
Requests are absolutely worth it as a new user if you can afford to fill a few big ones.

Basically there's two types of BC free.

Buy now (name your price) or just music flagged free. If it's flagged free I believe a lot of people have bots set to dl and upload it already. Name your price is only free if there's no minimum. Use auti.st for disposable emails for BC downloads.

Basically go onto the bandcamp arrived today or this week or this month and farm uploads. You just dl that shit in all formats - FLAC, 320, V0, V2. You can also search google for free BC uploads but this is a bit less accurate.

You can estimate how much buffer you get from the albums by the number of tracks there and how long each track goes for.

And yes people autosnatch this shit even if it's enormous. Because you are looking at everything uploaded this week/day it's always going to be 2016 which is autodl'd. Back in 2015 I easily uploaded albums which were about 3.6 gigs in size in total off BC.

Beware with BC artists - they might share their name with other real artists and stuff. Also 'various artists' is not sufficient to fill out the field on what - make sure you search album name as well as artist name or you might accidentally end up with an album dupe on what.

Music is actually really annoying to upload because of the enormous forms. Some people like doing ebooks, some ebooks are enormous. You can get a tonne of large ebooks off kat.cr or libgen for uploading.

Applications - yeah these tend to be quite chunky as well and you can upload them.

Manga. Personally I don't upload because it's really annoying to make cbz but it's also a good buffer maker.

Japanese music and drama cds - you'll be able to upload this if you're fast and lurk /a/ a lot.

Easy if you have access to a good academic library or ovedrive esp for ebooks in textbook season. You can also get free ebooks from amazon and other ebook retailers by dedrming the trials or buying books, stripping drm and refunding them which is a great way of getting free buffer.

Some people use soulseek but it's a bit risky to do that with music because of shit transcodes but obviously this should yield much greater buffer profits.

Some people are also stupid and don't think to check other trackers like bibliotik so you can profit off them. I've also traded some of my buffer from bibliotik for a significantly greater amount of buffer on what.

They're inconvenient. They become useless relics. The extras included rarely seem worth the price. If I want to watch a show, I always always resort to my drives. I've also had to move a lot of times and I just give most to my parents now because I can't be fucked to take them with me everywhere.
