Actually, that's one of the reasons Apple has been so committed to resisting government subpoenas via encryption. Jobs would've easily handed over data a-la Microsoft (which still does, especially now that it's easier to obtain than ever with W10) to please governments and gain their business, but since he was once closeted he had privacy as a value and once again made Apple a standout among its competitors for privacy.

To be honest, $1500 is not that much if you make a decent amount of money. There are not too many competitors in the no moving parts, good looking, high quality area of laptops. Asus has one model and that's pretty much it. Installing anything POSIX compliant on that thing is a fucking chore and things end up broken anyway. Regarding headphones and flash drivers, yes, you can stick a flash drive in this thing. Headphone jacks are a thing of the past and I hate cords. I hate them so much I do anything to get rid of those fuckers.

Same internal specs as OG iPhone, stupid plastic lozenge design after the beautiful older phone, and an awful low resolution screen with a ton of glare. If the no headphone jack is true i'm jumping ship to android. I prefer iphone and i've had iphones for a long time now but that's a deal breaker for me. I use headphones on my iphone like all day. And refuse to deal with having to worry about charging both my phone and my headphones and having my headphones eat the power of my phone battery. Meanwhile, they've further reduced the number of moving parts. I'm sure that optical drives are a HUGE source of headaches, user complaints, etc. People jamming them. People getting soda in them. It's just an invitation for more customer service calls and thus more overhead.
