Hourly reminder that TDEE calculators are lying to you, all except the Katch-McArdle formula which calculates TDEE based on your body fat percentage which is extremely relevant to us fat fucks.

If you're a 20%+ bf skinnyfat "guy" or a fat fuck, you need to use the Katch-Mcardle with the "sedentary" multiplier and calculate calories from working out on your own.

Other formulas overestimate your TDEE by up to 600kcal a day depending on your body fat percentage.

Being fat and having to eat more to maintain your weight is a meme unless you're extremely obese (400+lbs).

I'm about 83lbs down since Feb doing IF/caloric restriction. More than 40 hours into a 48 hour fast to jump start keto diet, first meal later tonight. Problem is, I don't like avocados or half the shit on the diet lists. I also don't want to force my wife to spend 3 hours making a keto-macro-friendly dinner. What are your quick and easy keto meals that get you to that 5%/70%/25% macro range?

If it helps, I've been thinking of doing an after dinner snack of pepperoni and cheddar cheese to up the fat content.

Lads some advice, I am starting to switch to pure vegetable stew and shredded wheat but is this good enough to live on? Am I getting all that I need from doing this?

I can also add some red meat into the stew for 2x meals a week if that is required to be healthy. The stew has the following vegetables:

carrots
tomatoes
bell peppers
garlic
red onions

and I was thinking of adding in parsnips and courgettes as well if they will add a huge amount to my health.

I don't think I'll really need another 'cheat' day now. While I'm cutting I'm pretty happy with shakes or light healthy meals, and then a nice high protein meat dinner in the evening.

When I go back to eating more normally to build, I can have the occasional snack, and eat stuff I like without being as careful, and if I mess up just cut a bit more.

I 'only' need to lose another 30/40 or so pounds, for a total of about 60/70, so I'm not really worried about loose skin or anything. I was 240 at my heaviest and am over 6 foot. Already down to overweight rather than obese BMI and into my old XL shirts comfortably. If I feel that I'm skinnyfat when I reach my goal I'll just build some, give it six months for my skin to adjust, and then maybe lose the rest.

This weekend I sort of hit a state where I can just drink 2 litres of water a day and eat a small meal, and not feel especially hungry or too unwell to work out. Just the occasional minor headache, easily dealt with. It was awesome. Hope I haven't messed it up.

Do guys think meatballs made with lean beef have a lot of calories? My mom made gluten free pasta and I only had a little bit with barely any sauce, and 2 meatballs. Depends on what else is in the meatballs. Some people add breadcrumbs like you would with a meatloaf or parmesan cheese, which can make a single ball pretty dense in calories.

If you're tracking your calories on MFP, I find it easier to set my goal to be maintaining my weight, and then I just have fun staying under that. It's much more rewarding to see the -1032 calories remaining in green, then the +547 in red because you overshot your goal trying to fill it up, rather than having a nice buffer.

I can usually hit between 500-1000 under TDEE by just paying attention, instead of having a set goal to reach.

I realized that the other day when I was refilling my water bottle at the kitchen. when i played football i was at 250. I did construction the summer after and was in fantastic cardiovascular and strenght shape, but still was fat. i was 260 when i went to college, actually lost someweight because i was too lazy to go eat. then this year as soon as i decreased my add meds I shot up 20 to 280. ive come down a few pounds but always bounced back.

Go to restaurants with a game plan. Input things into a calorie counting app ahead of time so you know what it all looks like and what you can or can't eat. Before ordering more food, drink a glass of water and let the first thing digest. Don't drink alcohol with dinner, it will make you want to eat more. I greatly exaggerated. The past 2 years have been spent losing 50lbs and Im still pretty doughy at 163lbs 6'0, which means I have virtually 0 muscle mass (I TOTALLY fucked up with being a lazy non-lifting shit most of the time). I started doing a fuckton of cardio last week and the past couple days I just said "fuck it" and didnt bother trying to stay in a deficit, but with the sheer volume of spinach and water i consume every day im barely going over maintenance. Today was a bigger cheat day since I had carbs for the first time in several weeks. Probably will go back to pseudo-keto maintenance in the immediate future if I feel as shitty as I expect in the morning.

I've been eating 800 calories a day but I'm not losing any weight. I've been dieting and walking two miles a day for over two weeks but nothing is happening.

I honestly think I'm just on starvation mode because my metabolism is so low and no matter how little I eat, I don't seem to lose anything.

I even gained a couple pounds if you can believe it. And before I was on a diet I actually lost weight eating McDonalds and pizza all the time.

Everyone in my family agrees that this is just how our bodies work. Don't think I'm going to continue doing this because it's getting me fatter, and eating fast food makes me skinnier.

I usually don't eat until 7pm my time. I have usually two dishes. One is two very large tacos consisting of half a pound of 99% lean turkey with a massive amount of lettuce, tomatoes and onions. Two scoops of pico sauce and some zero calorie hot sauce. It comes out to about 600 Calories. The other dish I have is 7 or 8 ounces of skinless chicken breast or lean pork chop followed by about a pound of potatoes with garlic salt and thyme. The pork chop is usually paired with mustard or hot sauce. I drink mostly water and for dinner have a minute maid light lemonade.

I excercise five or six times a week usually at 11pm. It consists of 35 minutes of excercise bike never dropping below 21 MPH followed by 15 minutes of elepitical machine. Depending on the day, I'll lift weights afterwards. Today is my rest day and I'm getting antsy. I used to body build and this fat blob I become made me super depressed. I decided to change it. By January I'm hoping to do my first half marathon.

I do dumbell chest prest, incline chest press, decline chest press, bench press, shoulder press, pec fly, and a few others I'm probably forgetting. I hit upper pec and lower pec hard twice a week. I'm hoping by the 3-4 month mark I start to see some definition.

I will say that when I flex my pecs (I can rarely figure out how to, I'm retarded) I can feel a ton of progress. Rock hard pecs. They're just covered by a good layer of fat and still look like moobs.

If you don't want to go gym then buy some cheap dumbells to do at home and when you're ready (it'll take a while) buy a cheap pull-up bar that goes over your doorframe and start doing negative chin ups, progress to actual chin ups, then neg pull-ups then actual pull-ups and boom you're good.

You won't become super muscle man, but you will help tone your body and get stronger - plus there's other benefits as well to doing basic lifting.

I went from 213 lbs to 152 over the course of a year. I felt great in the beginning when the scale first started dropping and at the very end. All the time in between just felt kind of pointless. You're getting smaller sure, but you're still a blob. A smaller blob. Then one day you wake up and realize your face isn't as round anymore, your outline so to speak is changing. It does so fast. The last 5-6 kilograms makes almost as much visual difference as the first 30.

You'll come to a point where you make the realization that "holy shit I'm actually thin now". You'll feel like a new person. Until then you just have to grind it out.

Put yourself at 2000 calories per day, lift three days a week, do cardio two days and rest two days. Eat lots of protein and sleep properly. You'll have a completely new body and feel way better in five months.

If all you care about is dropping weight quickly then start doing intermittent fasting, do more and longer cardio, drop your calories lower. It's quicker but not sustainable over a longer period of time and the risk of rebounding is higher.

Yeah that was me. You should do calisthenics like lifting. You're basically doing bench presses with low weight when you do a push up. Some guys do it everyday but that's basically making lean muscle instead of bulkier muscle so it will be rock hard but not very big. You're still going to add more mass so you will look slightly bigger but it won't make you look like you lift. If I remember right there was a reason you couldn't lift at a gym. Try to get into weights when you can and you'll see better improvement.

If you're skinnyfat lean muscles are fine. If you want to get rid of loose skin the bigger the better. It really comes down to what you want to look like and make it your goal. The long you don't eat, the more HGH and norepinepherine and epinepherine you produce, the more your healthy cells perform recycling, and the more your insulin drops. Capitalizing that and working out right before you eat can result in big gains. When I first did IF, right before I got injured, I was able to do pullups for reps at a bodyweight of 260, however, doing pullups at a bw of 260 can also fuck your shit up :^^^)

I did do a weeks. I butterflied and chili rubbed like 3lbs of chicken. One of the breasts I cut to deep and it fell apart on the spatula and splashed me. Some anon said pan sear for one min and transfer to oven for 20. Its pretty juicy with a nice crispy exterior just like my wrist.

Just hop into fasting general, I've contributed a shit ton of links and research to it.

The biggest part has probably been OMAD, only having one meal makes it hard to cheat on keto. Being on keto, it's harder for me to get exhausted when I do my cardio, which is mostly hiking until I buy a new stationary bike (rekt the old one lol)

I would say to hop on OMAD/keto, and then do a 3 day fast once a month and buff it up with a comfortable amount of cardio everyday.
You can just do OMAD which I've put an obese relative on and she's lost about 10lbs in a month, which is amazing for a 47 year old woman, but for really cutting the mustard and making your physical being better, gotta have that keto.
