I used to do HIIT with swimming. Used slow followed by hard lengths or some other combination, can't remember. That, dieting and swapping with steady swimming for lifting and sometimes resting days worked very well for me.

I am leaving the house in about a couple hours for the airport, where I'll eventually take an international flight to visit my father abroad. I'm a bit socially anxious and pretty afraid I'll sperg or have an inner panic attack inside my head during the flight.
I think this is a good thing though, that I'm going out of my comfort zone even though I had some trust issues with people.
To keep this related, I am probably going to fast until I get there as the food in airport is very expensive, and it's difficult to count calories on airplane food. I thought of taking some with me but it won't get past through custom clearing in my shitty country, so there's no point since I won't be actually hungry until I actually am much later in the trip. I will leave the house at 8am, board at 12pm and hopefully arrive at 7pm. I think it's manageable as I was used to doing 18:6 before, not sure how I'll feel with the new environment and exhertion/stress from travelling though. Anyone got tips for me?

if you aren't confident in the airplane food, only eat things where you 100% know the calories (fruit, boiled vegetables, protein bars, don't try your luck with any sauce they put on meat and stuff, etc).

in general, i'd suggest you stay really hydrated. drink a few cups every hour. keep some chill podcasts to listen to, just to keep your mind off of the journey. this might sound weird, but try to sneak in a wank (if you're comfortable with it) in the bathroom. its disgusting sure, but i once was unbelievably anxious during a flight and i took a wank and that really helped me feel better.

A lot of it in neuromuscular pathing if you've never done it before.

Your co-ordination just is not there at all for it. It's actually the most important part of moving at all, let alone moving weight external to your body. Don't let it get to you.

Start with the bar for five sets of three if you have to for a session, you'll probably be able to do 65 after the first session, then 70 then 80 and so on. Starter gains are not a meme, it's a real thing.

As per hydration, I suppose I can buy a bottle of water after customs in the duty free area, shouldn't be too expensive. Is it real? To what point can it fuck your metabolism? At what point does it usually kick in? Is IF enough to make it start?

I find it so much easier to eat less rather than eat differently, so I want to know more about it, but different sources online tell me such a huge range of different shit, I don't know what to trust.

Look up some studies about the minnesota starvation study. All the men lost weight on very low calories, over a period of 24 weeks.

Some studies looked at the 12 week period where they regained weight and have claimed that their metabolism was negatively effected by it. But a more recent study looked at the entire 20 week recovery period and found that the men's metabolism was the same or higher after the starvation.

It's simple math. If you consume nothing, you gain nothing.
You will be incredibly low energy when you fast, for obvious reasons. But you have a body that I'm assuming is full of fat that it can easily function with.
Your body doesn't discriminate and will take away muscles as well, but if you spend your days online every day, not putting your muscle to any real use, I'm sure that doesn't matter to you.

Ease yourself into it, just have rice and water for a few days, eating as much rice to make you feel decently full on the first day, then continuously cutting out more and more until you're down to eating barely anything. Then just stop eating for a couple of days, while drinking water. Watch your weight nosedive.

I don't recommend cutting out all food, but a couple day long fast can be a healthy way of soft-resetting your body. From there, decide whether you want to continue the fast (I can almost guarantee you won't) or just eat a little bit. After fasting, a small amount of food can seem like a lot, and it's a good start to a decent, smaller diet.

This might sound like bad advice but I (the person you gave a (you) to here) am going to give you some advice that once got me from slightly chubby at 85kg to skinny at 77kg, albeit too skinny because I was cutting too much.

Now, you can't just start using hard drugs, like alcohol or coke, because that habit will be bad for you considering how you're probably bored and sad on a daily basis. When I do that on binges, my ability to digest and use my food is hampered for at least a week. The slow introduction of an artificial sweetener that (You) can digest is a perfectly fine way of satisfying cravings.

Realise that medicine and research are not very n of 1 applicable, and that tolerance for these things varies from person to person. The amount of live bacteria I consume post sweetener digestion probably lends with the effectiveness of my digestion, but I would imagine that the people they study this on do not have extremely controlled diets, or a healthy intestinal climate at all.

Find Stan efferdings thoughts on food and digestion, once your body gits gud at utilizing the food you give it all the time, you can absorb more and more from it. Its why the occasional binge isnt as bad as you think, because my body doesn't know what to do with it anyways. My ability to gain weight on the foods my body "knows" is much better, because I can digest it more easily.

On the whole stay away from them, occasional use of ONE kind of sweetener won't kill you, as long as you strive to have a healthy balance of micronutrients, and intestinal bacteria.

you can do alternate fasts if you have the willpower

1) fast for one day, eat the next, fast the next (don't go over your maintenance amount on eat days)

2)fast for a whole week, refeed for a week then fast again (don't go over maintenance again)

It's not for the faint of heart though

Should I go to the gym in the morning (like 6 AM) before breakfast, or should I eat something first and then after, or just after - thinking oats, banana and yoghurt mixed together?

Fuck /fat/, I can't reliably get past the 220 mark. I was abusing laxatives the first two weeks I lost weight this month, then I stopped cuz I found out how bad it was for me and it mighta just been water weight I've been losing.

But for the past two weeks I haven't been able to stick to my diet plan. I need some strength to just stick with it for a month and finally get under 210lbs, where my BMI will finally not be obese (which is has been sonce childhood).
