After 3 weeks of strict keto dieting, I got into an argument with my dad this morning. I was upset and frustrated so I went to panera and ate a cobblestone and a steak, egg and cheese sandwich.

Now I have to stretch 500 calories out for the next 13 hours to hit my calorie goal for the day. I fucked up.

Why did I do this.
>>
>>42244207
Could get a good chicken salad in that 500 cal allowance

Hey fatties

Just got a great tip from a mate about how to keep the full feeling while keeping calories low.

A 1/3 mix of split lentils, bulgar wheat and buckwheat, cooked with 2/3 stock, is filling as fuck. Looks plain when it comes out of the pan but cook in a few spices and a half tablespoon of extra virgin olive oil, it's pretty damn good. It keeps in the fridge for days and it's cheap as fuck.

Calorie allotment per day is 1700 so I had a light breakfast and lunch so I could have two donuts. I still have 850 calories left today.

I fucked up last night. I quit dip on Friday, and I ate at McDonalds for breakfast because I'm a fat retard, which took up more than half my calories by 8am. I then went for a run and had lunch at 11am, leaving myself for 100 calories for the rest of the day. I ate a banana at 5. At 8pm my friends decided to drink and I was fucking ravenous, so I went to Publix, got a 6 pack of Yuengling, a bag of crunchy cheetos, and a 900 calories large Cuban then fucking consumed it all.

I was weak, but now I must continue. Fight on, brothers.

How do you guys keep your mind off food when hungry?

I went on almost 3 month streak of cutting and eating zero shit food. But almost every day I had to force myself not to eat shit, so it was like constant mental battle. Then I decided to have one cheat day and everything went to shit after that and I gained 3 kg back.

How do you take your mind off this shit. It's a fucking struggle for me, everyday I think about eating something dumb.

And btw cheat days are not productive for everyone. Take me for example, maybe I could have kept my diet going if not for it. Never should have listened to people who said it was.
Sometimes I feel like alcoholic on rehab.

Okay asking for a friend here, yes i have read the sticky and i have been attending the gym for two days so far and i don't really understand what to do in the gym and what to do nutrition wise (Yes i am counting calories) But i'm 18 and scared that i'm wasting my youth being a fat cunt, i should probably mention at this point i am 210lbs and 6'1. Started C25K last week and do it every other day (before I only lifted.)

And the off days I lift and do three sets of 15 curls, flies bench, and reverse flies with 25lb dumbells.

I eat at 500 cal deficit and get at least 90g of protein a day to recover. Is this good enough to lose weight doing? I've lost 5lbs already but I'm not sure if it wasn't just mostly water weight.

This is week three for me. Does this sound right? Or is there more I should be doing.

Question:

I lost over 100lbs in 6 months. Now my weight loss is starting to slow down to pretty much maintenance. I want to get chiseled, now that I'm finally in decent shape.

Would it help to up my calories by about 300-500 a day for about two weeks, then go back down? My lifts have suffered a lot too in this process and I'm wondering if some extra protein will help rebuild some lean mass to help continue losing. Is 2 weeks too short? I'm not really sure if its time for a full-on bulk yet at I still have a bit left to lose.

I drank 850 calories worth of beer tonight. I went over my maintenance for sure. I am ambivalent. I am slowly my progress by doing this once a week but the difference is now I get back on the horse the other six days no problem.
>>
>>42244712
I had a pizza yesterday. A whole pizza. About 11", and cereal for breakfast.

I don't think I went over my TDEE but it's still a lot of fat.
>>
>>42244728
For your age, weight and height I recommend eating exactly 1800 kcal/day.

Do NOT add exercise calories on top of that!

Eat around 185 g of protein/day and 40 g of fat/day, the rest you fill up with carbs.

To know what to do in the gym read the sticky. That is all.

>>42244877
chicken breast = 21g/100g
canned tuna in brine = 20g/100g
quark (that stuff is amazing) = 12g/100g
oats = 13g/100g (but plant protein is only used around 70%)

try to get most of your protein from your regular diet and only use protein shakes to supplement if you are falling short. Shakes don't have any advantage over regular dairy or meat protein but they cost way more per gram protein and they aren't as filling (especially important when cutting).
>>
>>42244980
Not that anon but that is fucking costly especially knowing that i'm europoor.

the scars are hidden by my briefs. They go all around my waist and are still a red hue. I also have scars on the inside of my thighs. The scar color will fade within a year and look very similar to your regular skin color.

>>
>>42244756
Increase your protein intake and finish your cut. Build the mass back with as clean a bulk as you can.
>>
I seem to be dropping 1KG like every week while building muscle at the same time. I know that this is actually really fast progress but it just feels so fucking slow. Like I've overcome the hurdles of signing up and maintaining regular attendance and now it's not a matter of will but just waiting. Frustrating.

Any fatbodies know this feel?
>>
>>42244994
Germany here. Quark is the cheapest protein €/g on our market. Any protein powder will be way more expensive than getting it from dairy products. Always remember that protein powders are nothing but dairy products without the water, so you will be paying for all the drying and packing costs + the additional marketing. Buying skim milk or low fat yogurt will always outperform a protein supplement.

Only use protein powders if you can't reach your daily protein intake otherwise
>>

and I know what you mean. Don't stress yourself. Just think back to what you did 3 months ago and then think about how that time has passed. It just flew by without you even noticing. Just realize that you made the hardest part already, you made the change in your habits.
At this point you have won. If you just keep doing what you are doing, you are guaranteed to win. You will reach your goal without question and all you do is to keep doing what you are already doing and let the time pass by like it would anyhow.

I know it may be frustrating right now but since there is nothing you can change about it, just enjoy the journey instead.

Yeah, I know it. Didn't even start out ultra heavy either, like 99KG, nearly 6 foot, borderline obese. I know that in a couple months if I just stick to what I'm doing I'll be near my goal. I just feel bored and anxious on my recovery days, like I could be doing more. I'm kind of enjoying the feeling of being hungry now, cause I know that means I'm losing weight.
>>

Before dropping the number that is going to scare you shitless let me explain that I went to best clinic in the world for this procedure. The lower body lift is a highly specialized field of operation and there is a clinic in Germany where the head surgeon Dr. Richter literally perfected the procedure. The operation is called Lockwood modified by Richter. Doctor Richter was the surgeon I consulted with and he was the one performing the procedure.

So when I tell you that it cost 22k € I don't want you to think that this is a fixed price. I went for the Rolls Royce of lower body lifts and that ain't free of charge. Depending on your surgeon you may be able to pay half that price. If you are lucky and only need a tummy tuck (only the front of your body and no thigh lift) you may even get away with a quarter of the price.

I lost like 9 pounds on keto, but my body stopped being able to digest normally. I would get mega constipated and feel like shit, yet I was getting plenty of fiber.

I have colitis, so it might have something to do with that, my intestines don't handle everything.

Going to add starches back in, but I will be careful not to gain weight back and keep losing.

Like how to play the guitar or join a club, volunteer at the animal shelter or something. Eating the way you do right now is just part of your identity and not your sole purpose in life.

the best revenge would be not doing that. Don't say a single word about it and when they say "my have you changed" just say "yeah, got a haircut last week".
Let your actions speak for your character and don't act petty/insecure by trying to get pointless revenge. They all know that "you won" and no one like a showoff. Do you think James Bond would act like that when he gets revenge?

>>42245615
You are going to be your size no matter what, but you can still slay pussy when you are ripped. Don't let the manlet stuff get to you. Women may not be trampling each other for average sized buys, but what really dries them up is insecure guys worrying about their height. Lose the fat, lift the weights and stop complaining about things you can't change.
>>
Do you guys feel full when you eat? Like you eat a full meal and your body tells you it's enough?

I thought it was because I was a fat load but after losing 150 lbs I still don't experience that sensation. I can literally eat until I am in physical pain from my stomach distending. Like it's hard and round right under my ribcage like Kobayashi.

Is there a medication I can look into that brings this feeling back? I mean I just don't know.

Yes. You just need to eat the right things.

This is what I've eaten today. I had a big portion of pasta and a cup of coffee an hour or so before going rowing for an hour. Bananas on the drive home.

I had the lentils/buckwheat/bulgar wheat porridge and lamb's liver later for dinner.

I really recommend favouring complex grains like lentils and wheats over processed substances like bread. I'm going to stop cooking pasta once I get through my current batch.

Not a great idea. Do bike or rowing or something instead. You're basically suggesting banging your swollen mass onto your ankles and knee joints for minutes at a time, when you can derive the same cardio benefits without incurring those risks.

We're not there yet but we will be one day.
>>
>>42244622
a trenchcoat??? wtf?
>>
>>42245897
This, but shin splints. I'd go further and say get well under 220 before trying.

Running can be good, you use your whole body, build endurance, and cardio helps with daily calories and weight loss.

But supposedly it might fuck your knees. It's a risk worth talking as long as you don't push yourself too hard. Running just requires decent shoes, easiest cardio to maintain.

>implying bike/stationary cycle comes anywhere close

Your better bet might be swimming for cardio, but not everyone has access to an adequate pool.
>>
>>42245394
nice! Warrior here too. There is no greater feeling.
>>
Once you reach your target weight, how exactly do you keep your weight loss?

I've read that if you do cardio+resistance+dieting properly then you don't need to maintain a caloric deficit, and so far I've only strictly done cardio, which is bad since apparently it'll fuck up your metabolism to the point where once you reach your target weight your body will just keep lowering your metabolism until you're back to your original fat self.
>>
>>42245901
even eating the right things doesn't give me the feeling. Ive done lentils, rice, beans.

low bf% if you're planning to bulk.
other than that, if you're just going to maintain as a skinnyfat, or somehow made it by lifting in the time it took you to shed the fat, you should be good coasting at normal bf%.

Hi, /110kg/ here.

I want to lose weight. I started doing 100 pushups, 100 situps and 100 squats a day to start off, want to get fitter by September. I went to 109 for a day (weighed myself in the morning before breakfast). After that, went on a hike with a couple of friends (20km-ish hike uphill) and came back 112kg. Now for the important question:

A friend told me that after 3-4 exercise routines the body "gets used to the work". He's a gym head, so I don't know if he was talking about building muscle mass or losing fat. I need to lose fat, my goal is to lift people, which I already do, but I want to get slimmer in the belly and legs.

What will happen if I just carry on doing this stuff? Will I lose weight? Will I stop losing weight? That, personally to me, sounds improbable, because caloric deficit should go above whether or not my muscles "got used to it".

I just want to be 80kg again, /fit/, please help. Is a caloric deficit enough to lose weight in the long run?
>>
why do u fucks use kg when pounds are superior measurement of weighing yourself? fucking britbongers
>>
>>42247330
simple carbs are poison, pizzas are 90% simple carbs. you are destroying whatever little progress you've made. being fit is a lifestyle not a diet.
>>
>>42247330
Lmao. I don't need to convince. You made a poor decision. I just look at the total nutrition. An xl Papa John's pizza had like some 10k worth of sodium in one pizza that I could finish. That's just too fucking much sodium. Also a pizza is a pound and if you've ever worked out at the gym to compensate for what you ate the night before, it's not easy. You probably have never compensated though so you wouldn't know hard work. Convince me not to eat at a hibachi grill buffet.
>>
>>42247383
Because that's what they taught me in my non-british school. It's what the rest of the world uses. Sure, I know that I weigh 200-ish pounds, but it's much more precise with kg and it scales nicely.
>>
>>42247385
Simple carbs never seem so simple to lose.
>>
>>42247227

Good grief man, how do you get 1,643 calories from a single cereal alone? Isn't the average portion 40 g? Hot damn did you use a cake mixing bowl or something.
>i was so focused on the crunchy nut i didnt even notice that you'd added a different type of cereal, peanuts and a fucking litre of milk on top of that
Why? I mean the rest doesn't look too bad on its own, but how the fuck did you eat more than a third of a kg of cereal

Good. I seriously thought about it, but then Thunderf00t made a video on losing weight and I realized that as long as I eat less than I "need" (for lack of a better word), I should still drain my fat reserves... my MASSIVE fat reserves.

Few questions:
Calorie count is only 2021, while my TDEE is 3.2k. That's more than a 30% reduction. That seems kind of extreme, especially considering ill still be trying to get 260g of protein also.

How can I fit this cutting diet into intermittent fasting? When is the best time to work out while on an intermittent fasting diet?
>>
>>42249139
I stay under 30 grams a day. I never cook and it gets fairy pricey. I eat Burger Wraps without the sauce, Chicken Lettuce Wraps. I add bacon and cheese anytime that I can. I work graveyards and live off of the white sugar free monsters (/sip/ feels me). If you crave coffee Starbuck's Iced Coffee with Heavy Cream and Sugar free vanilla is under 100 calories and virtually no carbs. I omelettes like crazy. Anytime that I am craving something sweet i'll pick up some quest bars or any of the atkin's bars sold in the diet section of any grocery store. They're pricey but they get the job done with only averaging 4 grams of carbs. Load up on ranch and bacon whenever possible. I never take supplements or drink any sort of protein shake.

I set limits and stick with them.

I don't ever go over my TDEE, even if I'm cheating.

Cheating for me is one meal ,once a twice a month max and scheduled in advance so that I don't break down and then claim it's just my cheat meal.

I also use moderation. For example, I have 40g of milk chocolate almost every day. It's not the best thing to eat, but in that small a dose it's not going to ruin my progress, and it keeps the I that I need to deny myself things I enjoy far away.

I don't know if any of that will work for you, but it's worked for me. To be fair, though, I generally enjoy the food that I'm eating on my reduced calorie plan right now. No need to cheat hard if you are enjoying yourself, right?

i started at around 230, and I loved it, too much in fact, because I have an inflamed meniscus in my right knee now and I can't put any strain on it for a month. Although I'm told that was because I have bad form and not because I was too overweight. But I'm 202lbs now and not 230 or 240. When I was heavier I would do hill sprints, lots of bang for the buck and not too much time actually spent wearing the joints. hey anon, sorry for the delay in response! went away from the computer for a while, then slept.
Anyway, the reason your caloric intake target is much lower than you thought it'd be is because, with the stats you have given me, I took the freedom to check again with sailrabbit your TDEE because 3200 seemed a bit high, and I got something along the lines of 2600 I think (substracted 15% and got 2021).
Second thing is, you don't need 260g of protein, the formula is : 1g of protein per lb of lean body mass (muscle mass). I went for >150g of protein as a baseline to make sure you had enough, but now that I go through the calculations again, it seems that you needed 167g actually (15g more). Either add half a chicken breast, egg and a greek yogurt, or a glass of milk wherever you need it, that shoud be fine.

As per IF, I went by what you told me, that you prefered to skip breakfast, so if you're doing the minimum which is 16:8, depending on when you rise up in the AM, you should be sleeping through at least 8 of the fasting hours. The rest of those morning hours, if you feel hunger, drink black coffee, tea and water. Keep active, occupy your mind, don't obsess over the fact you're fasting.
There's two ways you could go about working out while fasting :
- you work out fasted in the AM, technically the best time to really burn fat as body will use fat primarily as fuel since it's reserves of food based energy are depleted
- you work out in between two meals, with a pre-workout protein snack/shake (I'd go for PB Banana+Milk) to give you some carbs for energy too, and after the end of the workout, you consume a second protein snack (the trailmix yogurt) to facilitate muscle recuperation. Wait another couple hours, and have dinner.
If you're just starting, I'd suggest go for the latter. Once you feel confident you can handle the fasted workouts, go for it.
>>
>>42251634
I just like milk and it's a good source of protein/calcium
>>
>>42251664

>people tell him he has a milk problem

Here's the kicker, why I know you have a full blown eating disorder (bulimia), you brushed past it :
>and regular cheese I can do the same thing (binge)

So basically you're admitting that you binge, but rationalizing it by saying you're choosing "high macro/micro + low calorie" food so you can have mass quantities of it at a low cost. You're still binging, retard. You're no better than 8K in a day faggot couple posts above, you're heading his way if you don't fix this shit.

Ultimately the meta moral of the story is :
if you come on /fat/ expecting it's a pro-ana forum where people will shower you with validation and rationalizations about how your binging is okay, then you're mistaken pal.
Should have known people would step up and berate you for this shit, they're actually concerned about your health, faggot, not trying to be mean.

Damn this hit me in the feels hard. I seriously lost around 40 pounds just cutting out milk since I used to drink multiple big cups of it every time I ate, I'm not even overweight anymore but I still come here to give advice. Now when I feel like having some with graham crackers or whatever I usually measure out two cups which barely halfway fills the glass I usually drink out of. That's 300 fucking calories and like I said I used to drink a lot of it. It's seriously just crazy how many calories I was consuming. I usually drink water nowadays and it's way more refreshing.

That's not a diet, that's unsustainable. Start eating like 1500 calories a day. It'll probably feel like you are gorging, but you shouldn't be eating that little for that long of a time.

>you types

>>42251943
listen friend, if you kept it at "I fucked up", we'd have been fine, you accepted your mistake, stated it, then pedaled back when people came to give you a bit of a reading, and started rationalizing (the big cup, the calcium/calorie). That's what is called trying to make something appear reasonable.
Meanwhile if you had any clue, you'd understand the people who are bulimic are the ones supporting you through their faux concern and validation.

it's not about that other guy...or any of you fags personally. If you had an ounce of reading comprehension and emotional intelligence you'd understand this is coming from someone who deals with a terminal stage dying parent who has achieved putting themselves on their death bed as a result of poor eating habits, one of which is binging. But sure, just make me look like a bad guy for pushing the fork away from your mouth (if you even use one), I'm used to it.
My own mom hates me because I don't let her indulge anymore. But it's too late now, she did most of the damage while I was a kid and teen, and now there's nothing more I can do but listen to the disgusting choking noises she makes when she scarfs down food without chewing it, waiting for the knock on the wall that'd warm me she's actually going to die choking this time.

I'm all for trying to help people in this thread that are displaying unhealthy habits and attempting to rationalize that behavior rather than own it. I think that support is important, and on a board like this calling people out is important. But calling people out even harder once they become defensive, I've never seen that succeed here. People only dig their heels in.

Remove temptation. Keep nothing but essentials in your house. It's a lot easier to not buy a bag of chips, than to have a bag of chips and not eat them.

because what you want and what you need are different things
(unless you're trans, then what you want is what you must have, and the world must see to it you're catered too immediately)
wow that was a weird tangent

if you're going to move to china and the only options are to learn chinese or never talk again, maybe you should at least try to learn chinese

waking up in the morning is the worst part for me. I look outside and see dunkins lights flicker on and just find myself walking to it for easy breakfast. I really need to stop but making breakfast myself just feel tedious the fat mindset is just crippling me still

Whenever I have DOMS lifting actually helps get rid of it. It's quite a weird feeling walking into a gym barely able to walk from quad/hamstring doms and then feeling better after squatting.

Can't be scared of a couple sore muscles

Nazi here as well, can second this. For breakfast I always eat 300g of Magerstufe Quark (less than 1g of fat/100g) and add 20 ml of milk (because the quark is really fucking thicc if you don't add liquid)
