I've put on some muscle while losing 25lbs of fat (currently 172lbs with 5'11", around 16% BF) but it seems like I cannot lose more weight on 1800kcal, which according to calculators in OP is a 900kcal deficit. I think I track my calories accurately with MFP. Do I just suck it up and cut more? Can my metabolism be really that slow?

Chew slowly and savor the food. Every time you take a bite you should be putting the fork/sandwich down. Did you know that you have taste buds on the bottom of your tongue and lips? Go ahead and try them out.

You should not put more food in your mouth until you swallow the first bite. it should take you 25 - 30 minutes to finish a meal. 10 minutes eating. 5 minute break. 10 more minutes eating. You need to activate the taste portion of your brain to feel full.

Most people eat too quickly. Or eat foods that do not satisfy like sugar.

There's a difference between food as a reward for reaching some goal, and enjoying food responsibly in moderation.

Tying a specific food to a goal, even a vague one, seems dangerous.

I'm down to 183 at my highest of 219 about 13 months ago (a very slow recomp) and have lost 7 inches off my waist. The scale reading isn't that great but I tested my BF% and it's 17.3 % while it was 31.4 % at my heaviest. I literally have not been this light since I was a sophomore in high school (I'm 25).

It's all about the low bf % man. I really don't care much about the scale reading since all of my clothes no longer fit (donated them to salvation army) and I experienced so much facial gains - seriously I was finally able to put up 2pl8 bench and 3pl8 squat about 2 months ago but I was near 20% bf so I didn't get much attention. Now that my cut is almost over and you can see the definition I'm getting mires more frequently.

Body recomp is super slow but worth it.

I am here for some motivation.

Two years ago I went forth to commit Sudoku, but I fucked it up.
I was in the hospital for 6 months, and on and off since.
I was at 205 before I tried. I was strong, and fit.
I was hitting 140 dumbbells in bench, I could run a mile no problem, do farmer's walks with the 150's too, shoulder pressing 225 easy.
I rotted away in the time leading to now.
I got up to 320.
I have an apron of fat upon my stomach.
My thick, v-taper has shrunk, and my arms have too. When I sit down, I feel disgusted. I lost it all. I'm still pretty strong, and maybe a bit more because how fucking heavy I am, but I miss it...
I miss being able to wear clothes and not be uncomforable. I miss being able to look in the mirror and not be grossed out, and be able to run a mile non-stop, and then some. In the time since, I tried starting again, but the will to do so just disappeared...
I lost my muscle, and traded it for a suit of fully upgraded Lard Leviathan Armour MkVII, and a side of Crippling Depression...
I need the will to live again...

Usually want to lift something not too heavy that you can't do atleast 8 reps but not something too light as to where you can get over 12 reps. Study up on your lifting form or you could fuck your shit up. And I'm no expert on diet shit but my routine is eat breakfast (usually later in the day like at 10 or 11), skip lunch and then eat my calories in a 4 hour window after my workout, alot of the time I get full for the rest of the day and still have 200-300 calorie wiggle room. But I usually workout past 4 so you should adjust it to your time. That's just my diet though and its been working for me. You should do more research online for whatever suits you best.

Let's just assume for whatever reason you want to eat around 1500 kcal at your height.

You've cut a decent amount, so I'm going to peg your body fat between 20-25%, that leaves you around 150-160 lbs of lean muscle mass.

150g of protein - 600 kcal
60-70g of fat - 540 or 630 kcal
90-67g of carbs - 360 or 268 kcal

You can pick 60g of fat and 90g of carbs or 70g of fat and 67g of carbs but the constant will be protein.

Breakfast: none

Lunch: 1/2 of salad.

Cod is best in this regard, followed by chicken, broccoli, swai, tilapia and more chicken. Protein powder is handy if you can't cover the spread but I would incorporate it as a breakfast.

When I did protein shakes I did 2 scoops, 3 cups of almond milk, 2 tbsp of flax seed and 4 tsp of fitness fiber. Kept me regular and filled me up at breakfast.

My marinade didn't really work out. It was oil and some fancy BBQ sauce. None of it really 'marinated' so not much calories from that, but I added a few tbsp of each for good measure. I always go 25% conservative on everything I eat. Will buy a scale shortly.

Mostly taste when you mix water and protein powder. I find unsweetened almond milk is great, you can get it vanilla flavored as well and hit only about 30 kcal per cup. Water doesn't hurt though, might just make it a pain.

As for the marinade, that may have been the bulk of your fat. Oil can be a pain in the ass and I know BBQ has a high fat content in particular, depending on what you used. Scale is a good idea, as is the barcode scanner on the MFP app. Makes life a lot easier.

Back from my morning run.
Ran 3km (a bit less than 2miles), walked for 4 or so minutes and then ran the rest of the way home (around 800m-half a mile). It was great, I didn't suffer at all.
Now I'll drink a gallon of water and wait for my fantastic zucchini based lunch.

My first set of adjustable dumbells come today but what exercises should I do with them? I'm jogging 5k atm every other day so my thighs and legs are alright but I've noticed my chest and arms are starting to look out of proportion with the more weight I lose. I'm not looking to get ripped or shredded, just so that I don't look bizarre when I get closer to my goal weight.

Are you kidding? The average person's body needs ~2000 kcal/day, so about 83 kcal/hour, or 83000 cal/hour. Would it make sense if exercising for an hour burned 800 calories? It would increase the amount of fat burned during that hour by almost one fucking percent.
