No confessions today. I met with my PT today to do back day. All day I was at a big BBQ with like 40 people. All I could do is eat 2 chicken breasts and fruit/vegetable plates. Was really frustrating, but every time I reached for a potato chip I thought of my 4 day plateau at 208. Feels frustrating man.

I don't think my measurement is perfect, but I'd say I'm within 20%, and I'm at a 1400+ calorie daily deficit. I have wiggle room. You could be right about salt, but my water % isn't changing much.

I don't eat out at all ever. I know the contents of everything that goes in my mouth. I limit carbs, drink a lot of water, limit sodium, count every calorie.

Even at 2000 calories, my trainer has specifically told me to eat more. I'm doing 45 minutes of intensive cardio in the mornings, and strength training in the afternoon. Sure, I could be underestimating here and there (when in doubt, I overestimate, and most things I eat I log 2 servings of)

You can season meats. You can eat vegetables, you just have to be careful of which. Stuff like spinach is fine.

I eat yogurt and peanut butter regularly.

Healthy fats like olive oil and avocado are important.

Remember ,keto isn't no carb, it's very low carb. Most people can stay in ketosis with 40g of net carbs. And they should. Getting carbs from vegetables, nuts, and fruits is still a good thing, you just can't go over.

Hey /fat/, started running again last month, I'm 250lbs (down from 275 since April). Goal is 210~ by the end of the year.

Shin splints are hitting me hard. Taking a week off to heal and rest, focus on lifting etc etc. Made a new PR in strict OHP for 185lbsx3 recently. If I weren't a tub of lard I might actually feel good about it.

Most people want a kickstart to their diet. Obviously they know that they can't keep it up forever, nor go back to their old habits. Sadly people lack the willpower.

Right now I'm doing a water fast. After that I'm gonna do IF at around 500 kcal a day and slowly working my way up towards 1500kcal a day. This way my appetite gets a shock treatment and will die down easily.

I go running 3 to 4 times a week, have 3 Les Mills classes a week, yoga and on my "rest days" I go for a long walk of swim.

I put mine as lightly active. I rarely eat exercise calories back so having the Losertown at sedentary seemed like lying and it was also a bit disheartening to see the date so far away. With it now at lightly active the date matches up to what my Libra app is predicting based on my current rate of loss.

I recently got into the cottage cheese gig.
Honestly couldn't stomach the consistency, all boogery and slimey, but the taste was alright I guess, somewhat similar to greek yogurt.

In order to make it more palatable, I put in a spoonful of peanut butter (per 150g of cottage cheese), and a handful of unstemmed cherries.
The sweetness of fruit combined with the saltiness and slight sweetness of peanut butter makes it much better.

Here are the macros for one portion (for me) :

64 cal - 7g carbs - 0 g fat - 9 g protein

time/day doesnt matter as long as it's consistent. i workout in the morning because i wont do it any other time. to lose weight your better off doing a lot of cardio. start with the couch to 5k plan (google it/see the sticky). i now run 5 days per week about 3 miles.
add lifting 2-3 times per week. or start doing bodyweight exercises (dips, body squats, pushups, pull-ups (all variations), and V push-ups) sometimes bodyweight exercises are the easiest place to start because you dont need any equipment

keep counting like your doing, but the short answer is yes. also try intermittent fasting (IF). i eat once a day (OMAD) at night (warrior diet) - so basically i do a low-carb one meal a day at night. i make a pound of any meat and non-starchy vegtables in a stir fry. You wont be able to eat more than 1500-1800 cals in one sitting with those foods, and you'll be eating plenty of protein.

I think your end goal should be somewhere in the middle of the BMI range for someone your height, assuming you don't lift, so around 64 kilos.

I'm also doing low-carb.
I average 900 calories a day of intake lately, but that's because I'm a womanlet and in skinnyfat status now. That's still a 600 deficit. To be honest, I can't eat more than that in one sitting, and even 900 is pushing it already. But that satiates me for 23:30 hours until the next meal. Like clockwork.
My cut should end in 3 months if all goes well according to loser town. Then I will probably revert back to IF 18:6 in order to accomodate for eating something around 1810 calories to bulk, because there's no way I can do that on OMAD.

But if I had to eat in the morning, I think the insulin spike right after the meal would trigger "shockwaves" of cravings a couple hours after the meal, and it'll be much harder to stick through it.
Getting the insulin spike, or "sugar rush" at night, when you can fully rest and enjoy it, is much more pleasurable, and you'll be fast asleep before you feel the insulin triggered again.
That's what I've deduced from my personal experience, it's just anecdotal evidence, but I think it's strongly rooted in the insulin being triggered too regularly as cause of cravings idea, which is a base for promoting fasting.
