Yeah, I learned that lesson. My last diet I was doing heavy exercise bike, but I must have been way overestimating the calories I burned from it.

I know my form is shit, but I also know that I have to keep running to correct the problem. I'm in a weird transitional period where I'm going at a pace that's not too slow to walk but is more comfortable jogging, mostly because I'm currently unable to continue running on my toes for extended periods of time. It absolutely sucks, but basically my body doesn't support my weight comfortably from that position because a lot of the load goes straight to my knees. I'll find a way to solve the problem, but I don't want to be forced to miss a day. I think I'll just change my workout to accomodate for this issue.

Another side note, if the muscles in the arches of my feet start feeling like they're cramping or tightening during a run, does anyone know how I could deal with that?

Sugar Alcohol Guy here. After nearly shitting myself to death, I recovered and hit the gym hard.

I fell off the wagon and inhaled 3,791 kcal for the entirety of the day. Ended up burning 3,921 kcal by the time I got back home around midnight, counting all the calories earlier in the day.

So I just about broke even, considering. Given I dropped out of keto on my binge, may be a little rough and I expect to pack on 1 or 2 but tomorrow begins a 'normal' IIFYM diet.

but today i've been sorta stressed and had a "does any of this really matter?" attitude, and just about an hour ago, i ate about 2,500-3,000 calories of junk

(1 processed cheap burrito, about 12-15 taquito's, 1 small chocolate bunny, 1 big chocolate bunny, and a big slice of hot pepper cheese)

the reason why i am panicking is because, for some reason, i keep getting thoughts of giving up. idk why, i am just being bombarded with "this is all pointless anyways" thoughts.

Keep doing SL/SS or switch to some 4 day program?
Still making progress at 210ib DL, 205ib squat, 150ib bench and rows and lastly 95ib ohp, it's still working, it's just that I've been down this road before and dropped off it due to extended stays away from home with no gym access so started back at square one after Christmas.
SL is a little boring due to a lack of volume and varied exercises.

Currently walking 18 miles a week to and from the gym as well, 4 day program would bump it to 24 miles.

Suggestions? I'm 6.2 335ibs atm if relevant.

I think it's the return of self-confidence and an ego coupled with a raise in testestorone when you start cutting especially if you're lifting and doing cardio as well. Last time I cut (6 years ago) I turned into a bit of an arrogant twat - this time, I'm noticing the confidence and impatience with idiots/lazy people thing returning again, but I'm trying to temper it with a bit of patience and recognising my own shit as being its own kind of weakness if it can cause shit or hurt other people for no good reason.

Funny how you end up improving your body and then have to work on improving your mindset as well.

I've lost a shitload and been doing nooby weights for a few months but I decided to do 4 sets of 10 squats the other day with 20KG weights. 4 days later and my legs are still a bit sore. The first two days I could hardly walk - still dragged myself to teh gym for cardio though. It took me 4 weeks of constant dieting before my scales even shifted bud. Very disconcerting I know but keep at it and eventually your body will relent.

Equally depressing is when you're losing a shitload on a constant basis and then without changing anything, you suddenly hit a plateau for a month where your weight hardly changes.

On those days, it does truly feel like God hates you or something.

Tbh easily - I lost a crapload, then after 6 months I had a week off and decided to have one day just chilling with weed and food and to go all out.

I ate about 8000 calories that day.

Felt like utter shit afterwords and had a relatively non diety week. Took about 3 weeks to properly recover and start losing steadily again.

(wouldn't recommend it - my cheat days these days are about 2500 calories max)

Depends what you mean by ''eat enough''. You mean less than your TDEE?
If you're new to lifting and still fat, your lifts will still go up for a good period of time. Lifting will retain muscle even if you're cutting.
It's the only way TO retain muscle on a cut. Obviously that and high protein.

I was in the same situation when she started blaming her problems on me and the relationship...we had about 4 conversations that she started about breaking up over the space of 6 weeks. On the last once, I was doing the usual, fighting for the relationship and why we should make it work and a little voice in my head said "fuck this shit, you've done your best, you're done, kill it". So I then ended the relationship there and then and moved out the next day.

First 8 weeks was hard. Had to sort out the flat and see each in the first month moving shit etc but our breakup was relatively civil and we still get on alright. Yeah that's basically me. I put 110% effort into the relationship while it seems she doesn't even really try.
