I'm pretty muscular now and my Shoulders are wide enough to make it less visible, but the gap that gives us people an hourglass shape is still here, trying to work on my obliques to make it disappear at the moment
If you look like pic related and want a masculine physique, there are 2 muscle groups you need to hit harder than most people
Lats. Specifically lower
Wide lower lats make your hips look smaller
Also a thick core is probably a good idea
And lifting weights and eating in general
Rows. Elbows should tuck into sides during contraction. Back straight, hands reasonably close together. That will hit bi's and lower lats. I prefer the cable row machine, but there are plenty of methods.
Any, as long as you are tucking your elbows in so that they slide against your body during the contraction. You should probably use one of the grips that is like, a metal angle where the hands are parallel to one another. Also, kind of pushing your chest out and pulling your shoulder blades together can help work the deeper parts in the mid back.
Cable rows most likely.
