So i just started my first cycle at 30 y/o after getting very little results in 4 years of alternating 4+ days a week of training with a few months(feb to sep last year) of going very little, sometimes 0x week. Currently on PPL 5 or 6 days a week depending on working shifts.

monday bench + 2 assistance, 2 bicep lifts
wednesday deads + 2 back accessories, 2 tricep lifts
friday squats + 2, ohp + 2

(I do bench/bis back/tris because I can actually focus on assistance work when the muscles aren't already wrecked from the compounds)

I could ride that routine out for years, lifts going up consistently the entire time, with 250mg cruise dose

I'm excited as fuck for my blast routine though, basically the same kind of theme as my old one but doubled like a b c x a b c x and adding an extra assistance exercise so it ends up being 6 different lifts per session

first block is basically the exact same as the old routine, heavy as fuck on everything

In terms of actual muscle gained. I wouldn't really say it was too different from 500.
