I always used to be afraid of doing it, but I'm a lot confident now with it all.

Yeah. I normally think the sneaker and sock with pant thing always does it for me, but that proportion makes the exposed back at the ankle feel like a more sensible way to resolve the line from the pant's wider cuff to the exaggerated throat of the shoe.

Also been really liking very tailored, boxy shapes layered over really long and fluid, but casual silhouettes. Something like pictured over a long, simple jersey dress, even a tank dress.

Not a big fan. Seems like his more recent fits, where he's just putting together simple, sporty, unassuming things has worked better.

I've also daydreamed about how to fuck around with a fluorescent, almost utility sort of color. Like pinning this on a thick black knit under a coat or something.

Sneakers don't go with anything well, you have the relationship backwards. Dress shoes look good with less formal things like jeans and a T-shirt or with a military jacket.

The reverse does not hold. Wearing raggety shoes with dressy cloths makes you look like a literal bum.
