I blame Ankama for the fanbase shrink. They've treated the western side pretty poorly with predatory dubs and no communication with backers despite having multiple campaigns REQUIRING backers.
I honestly almost didn't watch the first episode when I saw it uploaded. I was this close to ignoring a show, that at one point was my favourite piece of media. That's got to tell you a lot.

Ankama isn't faultless, but as far as the fanbase shrinking goes I think it's mostly a matter of how much time has passed since the last Wakfu release, and that's not entirely in their hands. They need funding and clearly that's been hard to get. There are plenty of people who are still interested in this franchise, but many still don't know a third season was even in the works or has begun, and once it's over they'll turn their attention to other shows.

Only a diminishing fraction of us stick around when there's nothing new coming out, and this won't last us long. Other than the Wakfu and Ogrest manga that each take over a year per issue, there isn't really anything Krosmoz-related in Ankama's pipeline that we know of. Their animation department is doing other things, their publishing arm doesn't do much with the Krosmoz anymore other than Dofus manga, and their video games are pretty much always shit that most of us don't care about. Not much discussion to be had about Dofus Pets or yet another tactics game without a story.

Other parts of the fanbase will keep doing their thing (e.g. deviantart or the MMO forums), but /co/ is just having one last party before the lights go out for a long time.

A couple of years back there was a some small contest where people could win a few prizes by submitting either a comic or a short story and two anons, I forgot the name they were going by, submitted a short story with those two characters (which were the characters they played in the game at the time) and won first prize. If I remember right the actual first prize was that one of the artists working for Ankama would draw something for the winner, but that thing fell through and they got a bunch of cash instead which they then spend on multiple artists.

Heard they actually have some written backgrounds for the characters and actually wanted to write a full story, but that was back when Ankama was seriously anal about no fanfictions being written for some fucking reason, so that probably fell through. Well I ain't gonna complain, I can always use some art for my Pandawa folder.

Yeah, Tot said back when they were added that he had stuff planned for them, but we still haven't got anything so hopefully he meant this season 3.
Right all we know is that they were created when Yugo took the six eliatrope Dofus. Because he became as temporarily as powerful as a god and because of his desire to be the king he was meant to be, he unconsciously created a whole race of worshippers at different points of history. But because they're not actually meant to be, all trace of them disappears as soon as they die.

1st ep was subbed for 576p. 2nd ep was subbed for, oh shi, 288p. 3rd ep and so on was subbed for 1080p. And it had different font sizes as well. I made all of these styles. When subs for 1st and 2nd eps was improved for 1080p, font size was enlarged (but that's not me who did that).
About opening theme. I did it in plaintext with the French above for 2nd ep and so on. It's not me who replaced it by Harrington in some releases.

You are right, he did create them using the Dofus in the OVAs. But he altered the reality and now his creations appear as early as the Dofus Era, more than 600 years before Yugo was even born. Like re-writing history and adding something new to it without being aware of it. Now, in season 2, he and Adamai used the Eliacube and bought Qilby back and thus removing them from existence. There are still lots of plot holes about them.

There's also this scene from EP3, whatever it's supposed to mean. It all but confirms that Oropo is just a puppet being controlled by something else. I think Nox was just pissed at Xelor in general though, although the cube ruining his life on purpose to trick him into wanting to fuck with the gods which Oropo could be doing right now with the brotherhood for his own goals would be a fucking great twist.

In a single life we can place them solidly on the mid-low demi scale with what we've seen so far. We could speculate more but we don't have a good example of a powerful adult Council of Twelve member (as quilby was notably weak).

There was a discussion about that in the last thread, it's a mess. I think the show and the games are supposed to share the same canon (minus some obvious game-y abstractions), and lore-wise, classes are based on your "closeness" to that god. Meaning that things like Sadida or Pandawa aren't actual "races" like they would be in any other show, but more like "professions" which give you green hair or fur if you do them long enough.

Spirits can supposedly exist in Iop form as they enter the world, so a Iop spirit would likely choose to incarnate itself to a Iop couple's newborn baby, giving it an affinity for the Iop "profession" and the powers/visual traits that are associated with it. What's ambiguous is whether or not a Sadida couple for instance could give birth to a Pandawa, and whether THAT Pandawa could just choose to become a Iop or a Cra later on in life.

The only examples I recall from the show so far are the Sadida cabbage patch pun thing which is fairly dubious, and Eva/Pinpin's kids who ended up being a Iop and a Cra as one would expect.
