Honestly, other than Diana in this being a little crying bitch, this run followed the logical repercussions of what Azz set up.

The amazons wouldn't go back on culture of a thousand of years in the making for a new queen that they always saw as being different and distant. They would slaughter all the male amazons because that's how the previous queen taught them to do.

Hera wasn't going to simple sit on her ass living her husband to remain as a child. She went back on that many times during Azz run. Logically she'd go back on it again.

Diana in Azz was already a conflicted bitch that needed people to tell her what to do. Of course she wouldn't be able to be a queen, a goddess of war and a hero in the JL at the same time.

Say what you will about this run, but it just did the logical thing following what Azz set up.

In the Nu52 Diana is not a human, she is a demigod. She couldn't even relate to her amazons sisters because they'd bully her for being made out of clay, for being different. It starts with the idea that a group of Themyscirans are journeying around the world to find "awakened" Amazons from various countries and such, but this is dropped almost immediately in favor of rescuing a number of younger gals who got abducted by frost giants to serve as breeding stock... and if this sounds at all interesting, the actual execution is so dull, that this summary is taking every bit of energy I possess to finish. Again, none of the characters have any character, so it's impossible to give a shit.

No. Yi Sun-sin has imprisoned Poseidon in a magical turtle ship which is invulnerable and which he can summon from any patch of water no matter how small. I believe they may be setting up a flying turtle-ship vs. invisible jet finale.

There was a really cool scene where Hessia used the head of Medusa to turn a bunch of Persian sailors to stone, causing their ship to overbalance. Then later one of the Amazons who is a sculptress did a bluff with a fake head of Medusa she had made, it was neat. You should definitely read it.
