This page is hilarious
How do you know where to stick the stories without dates on the timeline?
I know that some are kind of obvious, but what about the rest?
>>91784989
There's a couple ways, sometimes there's a newspaper off handedly shown with the date or just context clues from the story. A really good example from the 40s with Hellboy cutting off his horns, storys that take place the same year but he still has his horns have to take place before that story. Same with Pancakes, any story where Hellboy was a kid and eats Pancakes has to take place after the story Pancakes.
A more recent example would be the new Lobster Johnson story. At the begining of the issue they show a movie theater with two Tarzan movies on the marquee, Tarzan and his Mate and Tarzan Escapes. Tarzan Escapes was released by MGM in 1936.

I forgot these two were sort of a ship early on. I remember them doing that in one of the animated movies too.
I guess they sorta dropped that after a while.

Why did Johann pass out?

Huh, this series has a nice feel to it. The later BPRD stories are certainly ambitious in their scope, but I kinda like these "relatively" low-stake episodic adventures.

It's funny because it's true

>the Spider and the Fly
So... I'm assuming he means that humanity must start worshiping the Ogdru fervently in an attempt to garner favor. But I can't help but think he's saying that humanity should turn towards Hell, since the Order of the Fly is so prominent in the series.
