Would you let them clean your room /rwbyg/
First for we can rebuild her, we have the technology
Why would you want to remove these hunks?
Yes, a thousand times yes.
Neo sure loves sharing, Sharing is caring
Assuming the world ends outside of beacon, Assuming the other 3 maidens are also at beacon, Assuming their is not a greater goal including who Cinder was talking too and who was the man who gave the Maidens power in the first place.
You'll know what you need when you need to know.
Way too fucking easy is more like it, the technology in their universe is more advanced than ours, yet she's able to bring down a whole military. While in our universe you can't even get passed the body scanners in an area suspecting a terrorist attack.
There's this that Strelo/k/ made
You can't fucking beat him. None of us can.
>Gawain and the Green Knight
>Greataxe with either exorcism or immunity to physical damage.
Second one seems OP, but exorcism wouldn't work in RWBY. Unless I'm exorcizing the Grimm.
Is it a gay team?
Is Remnant the whole entire planet?
It occurs to me that just four countries does not seem like very many. Though the world being covered in monsters may also be a factor in that?
Why do you think I started using a name in the first place, it's shitty 16 year old writing, but it's writing none the less.
We had a good post a few threads ago. What would your Semblance/Weapon be based on the last video game you played.
Switching it up this time, what Semblance/Weapon do you get based on the last book you read? Base it on the MC of the story.
Just finished getting up to date on the Stormlight Archive so:
Vague Gravity control, I can anchor stuff to other stuff with gravity, pull and push things with the same ability with a bit of finesse and can fly (fall with style) by changing the direction of "down".
Spear and Shield. As the sig weapon in the series ends up
being able to shift and change at willI'll say that the shield is just a shield and the spear and shift into a sword and also a rifle. Just realised that's Pyrrha's set, oh well.
Use semblance to make bullets track to targets and shit I guess. Everything else is pretty obvious. There's also stuff in the book about healing based on being in storms but that's pretty world specific so I'll leave that out.
Weak attempt at making Ruby in Black Desert's character creator.
>Implying that's not Neo, Roman, Mercury, and Emerald
Well, let's skip the Star Wars books I read most recently for the sake of just not the same shit over and over again.
So book I read most recently before that was Secondhand Souls.
So Semblance is either the ability to tell when people are going to die, or I can project a field of not being noticed to people nearby while I go about my business.
Weapon is a sword cane which becomes a fuck off handgun
>Switching it up this time, what Semblance/Weapon do you get based on the last book you read?
Can we count comic books? Oh well, I haven't read a book for a while so I'm going to have to count comic books.
The last manga I read was School-Live! So I guess that my semblance is to hallucinate that everything in the world is fine, and I don't have a weapon. Fuck.
Roman pretty much was, for a while. He would fight Ruby, only to flee and be encountered later on.
Asians understand what we want out of a MMO.
Yeah, I'm still getting the hang of it. It's REALLY detailed.
I did that purposely. Unfortunately I couldn't give her much of a rubooty.
Here's the program if anyone else wants to take a crack at making characters. https://www.blackdesertonline.com/events/ccm/
Whoops, I accidentally some words.
>My processors flared, reaching record high temperatures, and yet I still could not comprehend what happened.
>Couldn't comprehend what I FELT.
>I looked at their faces and at their champion, her hands still spread in the motion that would end me.
>Copper and silicon whirred from within, coolant pumped from the remains of my torso, drives shattered, but the data kept overflowing.
>What was this?
>Why was this happening?
>A new variable entered my systems.
>The bellows of the crowd reached my audio inputs.
>I could hear them, their boos, their gasps, their screams.
>It was a cacophony of chaos.
>And yet, the burden on my unit lessened. Loops concluded, freezes broke, an understanding dawned on me.
>Yes, I knew what that was.
>I knew what I felt.
>The fuel that drove man to extremes.
>The same that now coursed through every inch of my circuits.
>And I fell to the earth.
Yang is perfect and cute. PERFECT AND CUTE!
Post more Yang!!
Gonna have to go manga like some others since I don't remember the last book I read.
Akame ga Kill. Weapon is a sword that gives me a set of armor based on a legendary Grimm. Semblance is rapid evolution. Can use it adapt the armor to the situation at the cost of slowly becoming a Grimm. I don't like it. I want Cross Trail.
Bro, Emerald is totally Gary at her core, she was just playing nice for her sempai's keikaku.
Neo's the same way, except she's slightly more murdery and also mute.
This guy doesn't give a shit about no Grimm invasion
>First fucking episode
>BTFO's the Rube in Vol. 1 finale
>Captures the Rubes in Mt. Glenn
Yes he does. Not directly, sure, but he definitely impedes her progress on multiple occasions.
>Book of Judges: Samson
>Backstory: Blind man that's too poor to afford sight aid but can still fight grimm and mooks with sense
Semblance: Super Testosterone STRONK. Fighting Giant monsters with my bare hands would be great.
Weapon: I would see it as some sort of blunt weapon.
I was reading a very lovely fantasy novel yesterday. Was about three siblings, a swordsman, a monk and a politician.
But that was yesterday and today at the behest of a cousin the last book I read was
Your timing is shit.
I've read the story before. My point is that if you slightly modify it so that "physical harm" includes just physical objects (blades, fists, etc) then it's useful without being insanely OP
alternatively, it could be like he has a super-boosted aura shield as his semblance, he isn't even knocked back by attacks- but only as long as it lasts. once his aura runs out he can be hit like normal.
Not to mention the fucking Paladin fight, which is a direct confrontation that took all of team RWBY and a sliver of help from SN to come to what was essentially a draw.
Don't you see those ears? He's one of them!
I misread that as "totally Gay at her core". Which I hope is applicable anyway.
But yes, her two-faced personality is amusing.
Yang is okay. But Yang needs to do more stuff if Yang wants to maintain my respect. For me, Yang is fading a little. Yang needs to step it up.
I wonder if he could take Ruby in a straight-up fight?
He was very good at deflecting whatever Sun and Blake threw at him when he fought them individually, but I dunno if that would work against CR.
Who else wants to see Roman BTFO all the teams using Blue 2 like Solidus' harrier jet?
So, should we compile a list of stuff RWBY has yet to answer? Will it be answered all at once? Or will they keep adding on random shit like maidens until we don't care about the unanswered questions anymore?
I think they'd be even in a ranged battle, as far as a melee confrontation that all depends on Roman's semblance and his ability disarm the Rubes.
>Making push-up bra firecracker a titty monster
>Kafka on the Shore
I can enter conceptual spaces. This doesn't actually help me fight the grim, but maybe I understand their metaphorical state of being. Oh and it lets me talk to cats and make it rain squid because.
A butcher knife that transforms into a Chekov's Gun. The ranged mode doesn't actually exist until there's a meaningful reason for it to exist.
Well, you can go for vibrancy and color concepts, like Prism, Chromatic and such. What about names that evoke bright colors in general like Shine and Neon (latter's takent though).
That bikini just looks fucking painful to be honest.
That was definitely going to be my answer, but then I saw that anon specified it had to be based on the MC. So I get a crippling hallucination instead.
He can fuck her up pretty badly from a distance, at least. That much we know.
>They successfully shoot down Blue 2 after a long battle
>Roman pulls an Egg Viper and grievously injures Ruby
It'd be glorious.
That would be sick as fuck, but they could probably get a better fight if they take the scrap to the ground
>RWBY going into the city to try and hold back the tide and save people
>Suddenly a shadow falls over them, literally
>The S.S. Suck it Atlas has arrived
>Bracing themselves for an attack they watch as Neo slowly floats down Mary-Poppins style, slowly, delicately, gracefully
>This is immediately juxtaposed by Roman slamming down behind her at terminal velocity
>He's taking Ironwood's personal custom Paladin for a joyride
I fucking loose it every time that gif is posted
I wish more artists would draw her more sensibly.
>Did the fuckers behind it think anime was a genre?
Honestly the first book isn't that important in the grand scheme of things, it introduces the Vord and the main characters but other than that you could get away with starting on book 2. Most of the stuff that matters starts from there really.
What these two said >>79135667 >>79135678
Not to mention that even if it does get wrecked, it's just the second stage of the boss fight. Shoot down the ship, First the ship, then the Paladin, then Pure Roman. Each stage is progressively stronger and more dangerous despite common sense and logic.
quick post chubby rwby girls in the spoilers
I'm not good at reading apparently.
His Last Command was the last book I read.
Being the namesake of the novel series, I'm just going to roll with Gaunt as the MC.
Seeing as Gaunt has been involved in constant fighting for ten years, I'm thinking of a passive semblance that boosts endurance or something.
Bolt pistol & Power Sword. In RWBY-context the Power Sword can store dust crystals in the hilt and an auxillary effect is applied in correlation to the type of dust in the hilt.
Bolt Pistol's still a straight-up death machine though
Fine, fine. I'll move her head out of the way.
> Roman on foot is harder than Roman in a battleship and Roman in a mech
It makes no sense, but I quite want it.
What would your waifu do
if she got a call and found out you were in the hospital
Hey, sometimes it makes sense.
So what would Roman's hype-as-fuck boss theme be?
Well yeah, she's been there since >>79135582
Did they have to paint the heroes as so useless though? They never seem to do anything right and constantly fight amongst themselves, meanwhile the villains have their shit together.
I'm rooting for the villains to win, they seem like a likable bunch and have a reason to fight.
They're up against a pretty high-level mastermind, to be fair.
>mfw someone in my friends list on Steam has that as his avatar
Beat up whatever put me there and then rush over to coddle me.
>waaaaaaaah muh waifu isn't winning at everythin
Made this for you guys.
Well, guess this is what we move on to after Monty's dead.
I mean, roll back to Volume 1 and our Heroes are pretty good, they kill the shit out of giant Grimm and all that. I believe steps were taken in Vol 2 and 3 to deliberately show that RWBY is powerful, but they're still in training.
That's not the issue.
The issue is that the back and forth of the protagonists and the villians is just like the fights. A one sided domination.
There's no back and forth, proper back and forth that is, and the supposedly master plan is full of fucking holes.
Call me a dumb fuck and rush over to see if I'm okay immediately
From a narrative perspective, it's a journey for the heroes. The audience wants to watch them develop and grow to overcome the villains. If they start off strong enough to beat the villains there's no real conflict or tension and there's nothing moving the plot along.
In a similar vein, villain in this medium tend to be more interesting since they aren't bound by an forced drama or moral strings that the heroes would be.
>bitch about something
>someone tells you to stop bitching
pretty late but have one i made the other day, im probably not gonna finish
Glove Gauntlets. Wanna say infused with Fire and Ice dust. So I'd be able to do the Zero point breath though, use them from Pyrokinetic flight, as well a most other thing Tsuna can do with his gloves.
Something like Tsuna's Hyper or Ultimate Dying will mode.
Would maybe increase my sense, strength, combat abilities, and other attributes.
You got it
It is my thing after all
Request to not be assigned to my room because she knows proper medical ethics and doesn't want to lose her job, bust spends her off time in my room.
>implying protags have never beaten baddies at anything ever
stop it. Stop exaggerating. there's a difference between "good guys did not manage to completely stop the bad guy's plan" and "good guys are incapable of affecting the bad guys in any way"
secondly, this is 4 girls in training vs a literal army that has been planning this shit for who knows how long. They're lucky to be able to do anything.
Personally, I don't mind them playing the long game on beating the villains. Builds up a bit of tension, and gives the heroes more meaningful increases in power.
I'm not exactly approving of what happened to the Nevermore, or the Paladin. Those were threatening once, and then became little more than common mooks in future appearences. It's nice to have this group of villains that are very powerful and will hopefully need hard work and training to overcome.
They've tried, but nothing they've done has actually impeded anything. They get the drop on the villains, but the "plan" is too perfect to be hindered in anyway.
It's like Cinder found a portal to the real world and is paying M&K in blowjobs to make her unstoppable in her world
Go full Ultron mode and rampage until obliterating the one(s) responsible, then glomp bedridden me, and probably cause more bodily harm.
>4 girls in training
And a secret conspiracy made up of apparently the most OP assholes around.
And those victories were contrived as shit and in the long run didn't mean anything.
It's just a matter of constructing a plan that, no matter what happens, the outcome favors your goal. And it doesn't seem like Cinder is the one making plans at this point, she's just a patsy.
All right /rwbyg/, I'm trying to make a team, and need some help
>Team RNBW: Theme: Typical Gay stereotypes
>???- A massive pussy, likes colors a lot, can paint things really good, great drawer
>Weapon: Water Squirter filled with paint, Giant Ass Paint brush, Different color paint does different stuff
>Semblance: Invisibility, but can't hurt people
>???- Loves Fashion, Clothes Designer, can sew kind of well, Assertive Female
>Weapon- Their Outfit, can shoot explosive cottonballs, also giant Sewing Needle/Sword
>???-Trigger Discipine, pushes the team, really touchy, aggressive assertive, completely nice, everywhere but the battlefield, gay as shit, she doesn't even knows it
>Weapon- Your Generic Gun and Rainbow Gloves for CQC
>Semblance- Very Loud voice, scares the shit out of people
>???- Romantic as hell, complete pervert, complete virgin, think of Johnny Bravo
What do you think so far, also help me fill in the blanks
He's alright but like most complaints I see about him, he had extreme same face. Which is the only that that urks me
but I can deal with it.
Just about everything and one is better than him.
I dunno, I think if you were at least acquaintances with there girls they'd give some kind of fuck. They aren't total bitches, they seem friendly enough. The context was also not specified, so most people I think assumed with "waifu" they were either friends or greater. You wouldn't be calling a total stranger.
> they've done has actually impeded anything.
They have a bit. They slowed down Roman's dust thefts, and stopped the White Fang soldiers from participating in The Breach as intended.
Also, personally, I don't mind the Cinder being seemingly unstoppable at first. Obviously she's going to lose the upper hand at some point (sadly), but so she might as well be more threatening whilst she has the advantage.
They actually do pretty good at some aspects. Most Grimm don't phase them except in the largest of numbers. Properly armed and prepared they waltz through White Fang or Junior's Mooks like nobody's business. Blake dominates Roman pretty hard on the train. But clearly team Cinder has been working for this for a while and has quite a bit more experience on their hands. And circumstances conspire to prevent RWBY from working all together.
Well, I mean, the thing to remember is always context. The Giant Nevermore is the big boss the girls have to all work together to take down... during their test to get into school. This is the thing they do on what amounts to their first day. (Though the last episode gives Nevermores some teeth back, pecking on the stadium and Atleasian airships like it ain't no thang).
The Paladins are later pointed out to have been stolen prototypes, and Roman never really got any good shots in during the fight. Mostly the Paladin was just a tank which had a pretty nasty punch in close quarters (which didn't even finish off Yang). Also, isn't it mostly Oobleck who takes out large numbers of Paladins?
no, just pointing out how ridiculous you're being. you're saying "because the villain hasn't been defeated yet there's no way the heroes can get stronger and beat her latter". How many fucking shows have you actually ever watched that you think the villain outsmarting the heroes is the sign of "shit writing"?
I think Cinder made it explict it wasn't going to plan, but she can make it work anyway.
Which is the real beauty of a good plan, you leave wiggle room so you can expand to fit the moment, which Cinder appears to be decent at. You don't play chess one move at a time.
She would probably carry over her aura and semblance. They come from her, not her world.
>>Blake dominates Roman pretty hard on the train
>Blake surprised a Roman that was going to throw the fight anyways with dust enhanced attacks after getting her ass kicked by him when she had backup.
That wasn't what was being argued.
It was that somehow the train has not even been diverted to another rail by the actions of the protagonists.
For all the chess motifs Cinder isn't playing Chess but fucking Incredible Hulk.
Oh god Mistystuffer....
At least he has not touched RWBY
Not enough little girls....
I came back from Roosterteeth.
As I returned, I had one vision: The lastest RWBY season.
And do you know what I saw there?
>All this keikaku talk
So how would Cinder react if something unforseen and incompatible with her plan happens?
> but she can make it work anyway.
Dunno if that's quite it. I think it's more like the plan was slightly watered down, but still worked.
All the breach was meant to do was launch an attack on the surface to scare people, and presumably to trick them into arresting Roman. It still did that, even though it left early and lost its WF contingent.
And kicks. Can't forget those kicks.
I bet she'd do well in a bar fight.
I suppose at some point it becomes six one half-dozen the other.
The point is Cinder's a good planner not because she can think so far in advance knows what everybody is going to do already and built this perfect plan for it, but she keeps her moves set up in such a way even if things don't go picture perfect she still gets something out of it. If she can she tries to rig the whole game from the outset.
Would Roman appreciate all of his internet fans?
>m-muh plot armor!
News flash: all fucking shows do this. The writer decides who will win a fight then writes a way for them to win, not the other way around. Chill the fuck out with your buzzwords.
Cinder's plan is going to shit because of some bullshit about "simple" or "honest" souls, she gets pinned down by a lot of protagonists and is going to get taken out.
She stops, takes a deep breath, cracks some joints, "You're 50%(?) physical god Cinder you can fix this", and then she just starts setting things on fire with her mind.
Sure, sure, she's clealry a capable and versatile planner. Her using her intel on Penny in the way that she did was a pretty ingenious move.
>Cinder has a complete breakdown whule fighting RWBY as her plans unravel
>Hair gets messier, starts throwing more powerful attacks at the cost of accuracy
>Gets in a few good hits before getting taken down
>As she's getting dragged away by Atlas forces, she smiles and whispers "All according to plan."
> she will not take it well.
I am not sure I'd like to see Cinder having a breakdown. I think a cool aspect to her is how she's calm and collected, in contrast to most of the other villains who are quite emotive.
>Cinder actually gets taken in a fight
>Freaks out and rolls around on the ground about how the plan was perfect
>Just as Atlas shows up to take her away, a portal opens and Raven spirits her away
>"Everybody gets one"
My semblance is punching hard. Really hard. While my weapons are tonfas
>Cinder is crying in a prison cell
>Guards inform her she has a visitor
>Cinder cheers up thinking it's one of her old comrades coming to break her out
>It's actually Ruby
>Hands her one of these through the visitor's slot and leaves
There's also the fact that one thing the RWBY crew does okay is that at least with the protagonists they kind of have angles or twists which prevent them from being exact cookie-cutters.
Like Jaune realizing he's plucky comic relief and wanting to actually be good, or Yang's bubbly personality having a very driven and focused side, but also a nurturing side. It'd be interesting to see what sort of angle Cinder might have.
Obvious money is the Cinderella story, Cinder was treated like shit despite her smarts, looks and talent, until an outside figure magically whisked her up to a place where she can realize and apply her abilities, only for evil
Normally I think I'd agree, but I've come to quite like Cinder, so for me it would be a character I like losing an interesting aspect of themselves. I guess like how Ruby fans wouldn't like it if she had an edgy phase.
Now you got me thinking of Cinder contacting you somehow for a conjugal visit.
I'd like Cinder coming up from adversity of some kind.
Though I have a feeling that the song from the Vol. 2 credits (Sacrifice) is directed at her, and that talks about "falls from grace". So it might be the opposite.
Dating through fights is a common trope and M&K seem to like those. So it certainly seems plausible enough.
She'd come over to check on me. Maybe a little cuddle with purrs. Then hunt down my assailant like the ninja she is.
>dat ass be phat
No the only reason it seems like that is almost all the plan parts took place off screen for the last two volumes, if we had seen Roman stealing dust successfully, or seen whatever it is Cinder actually does, ect it would have conveyed the plan moving. Sans this we have what looks like them losing at every turn then suddenly winning, it looks like they are doing too good because we have only been shown them failing, it looks like they are rushing for the same reason.
She got dat Rubooty
Also Nora would have healthy butt/hips
She can"t do shit because she is broken
As silly as it is, I really like the idea of Roman and Neo as Wild Cards kind of in it for themselves, they'll kind of switch back and forth as their own needs dictate.
Permanently, I'll put my chips on Emerald. She has good guy eyes, and if she's Aladdin, that story has quite a bit about being used by people for evil ends.
> Emerald permanently
How do you see that coming about? She's shown outright affection towards Cinder for saving her from the streets. Not to mention how she's as immoral as the rest of the villains.
I don't see any of the current villains becoming heroic, really. They've all done some pretty awful stuff, and have all shown amusement about it.
At best, team villains might have a split where the the interests of some factions stop aligning with those of others.
Actually, Adam could be an exception, since he's at least pursuing a vaguely noble cause. Even then, he's pretty far gone...
Last book I read was Ghostmaker by Dan Abnett...
Holy shit, does that mean I have a chainsword combined with a 6-round grenade launcher!? Sweet...
Semblance? I dunno, Gaunt is an inspirational commander and leader, so I figure I give everyone some sort of boost.
Are we even told what the reason was for Cinders hate towards the Academy? Enough to committ murder over and over again? Or is it going to be one of those one dimensional villains that "did it because it seemed interesting" That would be disappointing.
>one of those one dimensional villains that "did it because it seemed interesting"
You talkin' shit aabout villains who do things because of boredom, bruh?
A great and terrible fury at watching this show.
The show has gone next to nowhere with all it's done. Offscreen character relationship developments. Money wasted on voice actor publicity, Villains that shoot themselves in the foot whenever they're not dicking around without any discernible purpose. Inconsistent infighting between the adult characters whose only real actions so far have been a ten-minute infodump and pretending they're mysterious and cool when we know little to nothing about them. Rushed plot turns that utterly refuse to have a status quo pinned down for them. Shady editing and questionable voicework. And more stupidity that I can't even find the words to explain!!
Sacrifice is a heck of a song. It spells out a lot of things for whoever the song is focuses on. The lyrics say some very interesting things even about this season.
If it's about Cinder, it paints an interesting picture which matches some of the bullshit in her speech, questioning the nature of leaders and planners like Ozpin and Ironwood. But there's maybe a little of self-doubt in there.
>How do you see that coming about? She's shown outright affection towards Cinder for saving her from the streets.
Exactly. She seems like she's willing to follow/do anything to repay her for saving her.
Have Ozpin or whoever offer her a better salvation. Maybe she won't take it up until it looks like Cinder's about to fall, but if she thinks her meal ticket's about to burn, I can see her taking up the next one without question.
>Not to mention how she's as immoral as the rest of the villains.
She can do it out of need without having to like it. She might even come to get used to or like it.
> Or is it going to be one of those one dimensional villains that "did it because it seemed interesting"
She seems to a bigger agenda than just that, as suggested by those cut to black scenes in episode 7.
The thing is, we still have no idea what that agenda is.
>The Two Gentlemen of Verona
Oh dammit. That's one play where nobody gets hurt (physically) and there's one a few weapons. I guess if I combine Proteus and Valentine I get a rapier that turns into a grappling hook for a weapon and "everything turns out okay in the end" for a semblance.
Adachi is a shit and an enormous bastard. It's why he's pretty good as an antagonist. Or at least, he is in terms of P4's themes, representing the ignorance and nihilism you're struggling against.
What if all the plans you made,
Were not worth the price they paid?
Even with the lives you stole,
Still no closer to your...
You can't have my life.
I'm not your sacrifice.
You can try, but I'm free,
And you won't conquer me.
I won't crawl,
Most of all,
I won't fall,
Which is another great thing to do with villains. Sometimes, when you beat them up, they're left standing at the end and they realize "Oh, huh, maybe I was wrong".
Adachi is a maniac, but when he lost the game, he lost the game. That's how life works.
>Jaune has been wondering when he will have to pay that favor to that kind woman whos looks reminded him of ice cream cause ya know Arc family tradition and honor and
>While roaming the streets one night he swears he sees her skulking around in the shadows of an alley feeling dangerous he decides to step in
>What he sees is indeed the woman who forged his papers and is very grateful to above the body of what he thinks used to be a person
>My perception of reality is changing.jpg
>She notices she has company smiles her wicked smile and readies her umbrella of murder but then stops
>Neo remembers this boy yes this young boy who in his hour of need asked her to forge papers a task she well accustomed to due to her job a simple matter it was and from the news around town he got in
>A favor she recalls is what she is owned for a job well done and she intends to collect
>Neo's smile never faltering she approaches Jaune who is frozen in fear she takes the pointed tip of her weaponized rain deflector bringing it ever so close to the bottom of his jaw
>Oh collect her favor she will indeed
I feel like there's a middle ground leaving someone completely alone in a strange place and being too smothering and dependence forming.
But that's not her reasoning for doing it.
>If it's about Cinder, it paints an interesting picture which matches some of the bullshit in her speech, questioning the nature of leaders and planners like Ozpin and Ironwood. But there's maybe a little of self-doubt in there.
Oh, interesting. See, my take on it was that it's Amber talking to Cinder. But looking at it your way changes things. Paints Cinder as going agaist some perceived higher authority, which indeed matches what she's saying in her speech and doing with her plots.
If it is meant to be Cinder who's talking, then the lines expressing concern for the people/citizens are interesting, as Cinder's actions have shown little concern for them so far. She must have quite an extreme outlook if she thinks her actions are going to do the people some sort of good.
>but if she thinks her meal ticket's about to burn
Hmm, see, I don't see Emerald as viewing Cinder like a meal ticket or anything like that. The line when she gets teasy about them trying to recruit Merc is telling. She reacts like she wants Cinder to herself.
>She can do it out of need without having to like it.
But she does seem to like it. She even shares a joke with Merc about Tukson, after they get back from killing him. Not to mention how she clearly took pleasure in taunting him when they'd cornered him.
Personally, I would have thought that would be more interesting dynamic, if unhealthy
Yang's mother didn't die- she left her, so having her be overbearing and wanting to keep Ruby close would help abandonment issues while it would chafe against Ruby's friendly, outgoing nature. As they developed they'd grow but create new complications for each other by doing so.
I saw it more as her thinking "Why are we changing things when they're going well? If this guy ruins things, I have to go back to living on the street."
Maybe there's something there, but in the context of what we saw of Emerald's recruitment, she seems to care more about staying fed and clothed.
>But she does seem to like it.
I meant switching sides. She can do it begrudgingly to stay out of jail/fed/etc.
Ok, guys. We did one of hese back in October and let's do one again.
Post a song and base your predictions for the Volume finale off of it>
The title says it all.
I mean, there's no guarantee it's about Cinder. Some of the lyrics make me wonder if it's related to Raven for instance, and maybe that "funny way of looking at the world" Qrow mentioned.
But if it is meant to symbolize Cinder, it paints an interesting picture of Cinder's "revolution". A person who has seen "necessary" sacrifices and placations of the masses, maybe even placed on a pedestal herself and seen it come crashing down, or at least pushed to a point where they decided it was enough. It may not be so much that she sees herself as good, just that the current system is very wrong. There's a strong independent streak in the song, the idea that someone is doing what other people think is right but it's not really as good as they made is sound.
>Miles saying he cried during SAO
Perhaps who is asking?
As no one asked for it here is a 'Jaune is Raiden Greentext."
> The calm, mocking melodic voice began to preach its pretentious monologue, all but one was focused on it.
> The one who was not focused on it was a young boy called Jaune Arc.
> For as the voice came through the speakers, something happened within Jaune's head.
> He couldn't explain properly as he was almost certain that the experience had never occurred to anyone before.
> It was like a door had been opened in his mind, flooding his mind full of things.
> Things that shouldn't be there. Memories of things, wars, conflicts, events that Jaune should never have been a part of.
> Millions of memories, clashing with the ones of the family which Jaune had grown up with.
> The pain in his skull was so intense that Jaune couldn't even scream in pain. All he could do was wait for the pain to subside.
> Yet, for some reason a small part of him didn't want it to go...
> Jaune couldn't explain why, but he felt that the moment that the pain resided he would lose something.
> Something he valued almost as much as he did his own life...
> Yet the pain eventually did subside and it was at this point that Jaune knew what he lost.
> He looked down at the sword on his waist.
> This was not his grandfather's sword. Nor had it belonged to any of his any ancestors.
> No... This sword had only belonged to one person and one person alone.
> It had always been Jaune's sword.
> The owner of this blade did not look very happy at this fact however. In fact he looked like he wanted to do nothing more than to cry.
> For the loss of a family, was truly a sad thing.
> Even if it was nothing more than a dream, a family, especially like the one which had been envisioned by the memories is something that all should treasure.
> Because of that he knew what he had to do.
Even with boobs she's still shit.
At least post a version with a decent hair cut
Frankly, I am glad he is not a woman. The waifu levels could climb dangerously high.
>she seems to care more about staying fed and clothed.
Heh, yes. Enough that she started dressing like early Cinder (there's a fun picture that illustrates thism but I don't have it).
Anyway, we're shown lot of quite sincere-sounding affection from Emerald towards Cinder. There's the genuine-sounding "thank you" for Cinder helping her, and then the infamous "Cinder!" in Vol. 2 Episode 1. Not even Mercury, Cinder's other close subordinate, has shown her that sort of gratitude or affection.
After much great stuggle the heroes win but are disillusioned and go their separate ways, forming their own bands of hunters. A little hopeful, yet mournful, as doom is on the horizon.
But not even the Ozluminati have had any luck at stopping her plans, who should by all rights be stronger than RWBY could become even in the medium term.
The problem isn't that she wins at first, it's that she's seemed unstoppable for years.
That's good planning, but it's narratively unfulfilling, particularly when there's no one on the other side that can plan at that level.
You fellatio of Cinder's power is only making me like her more.
I think Oz can play on her level, just that the advantage is to Cinder right now, she's taken a lot of steps to make it so team Oz can't focus on her or even figure out exactly who she is. She has the upper hand because that's how she can put all this in motion, but I think that things will start to turn around on her once people start figuring out her playbook, which Ruby is pretty close to breaking open through simple innocent determination.
Pyrrha's not gonna die, she's just gonna end up like the last girl to get between Cinder and the maiden powers.
hm... think she can snag multiple maiden's powers at once?
think this can mean we'll get to see that happen to Ruby since there's a 90% chance her mom was the summer maiden and she just hasn't figured her powers out yet?
I think we've already discussed spooky Amber companion.
She'll also go against Emerald.
>Why can you still see me!?
>Pyrrha looks up.
>One eye is consumed in flame, the shade different from her usual green.
>"It's payback time."
I take it you've had a rough day since your arrest Squiddy.
Mojo poastin moar neo being a smug infiltrator.
Is that Red Like Roses II?
Also, yeah, some lyrics can be pretty bad.
This Volume's opening takes the cake for shit lyrics and music though.
Honestly, it sounds like they fit the music to the video, not the other way around. Themes jump all over the place and nothing really gets developed.
Die sounds good at the start, then hits an iffy part at "love for mankind."
I'd drink heavily too is I lived next to Sponge Bob
