The first episode was decent.
>last season which is the 10
Keep dreaming, T'Soni - shit ain't getting canned anytime soon
No. A neighbor.
Report him. It's a samefag who has been disrupting these threads since God knows when.
Tootie will probably show up in an episode Chloe is absent from. That's always how this show works. The rivalries are entirely fan imagined.
>It's real, when was the last time she showed up?
Season 7, episode 34.
>Whittle Me This
>When Catman thinks Timmy has been kidnapped, he mistakes Chloe for Catgirl and enlists her help to save Timmy.
>Mayor May Not
>When Timmy wishes that his father could be Mayor, he ends up getting tortured by the paparazzi and risks having his fairies discovered.
Last time Catman wasn't even voiced by Adam West. Also, he seems to have completely replaced the crimson chin as the goto superhero.
The other one sounds like the obligatory dad episode.
FoP does feel in a way close to the Simpson's. Dad taking over the show just like Homer did for a while. Characters disappear for entire seasons then come back and feel somehow off like they were raped off screen. Washed up celebrities. And half the jokes are food.
Are you referring to the live action movie where he refuses to grow up mentally even though everyone else has moved on, or that special episode where it's revealed he actually wished for time to stop 50 years ago?
Are you being for real?
let me give you one example of many, on why it is shit
there is a scene that chloe wanted to wish everything back to normal but someone took a fire hydrant and the wands got washed to the center of the earth
sounds shitty right, but I'm not done
so the wands are at the bottom of the earth, litterally a scene later, cosmo poofs the projector in to view a clip with HIS WAND
combining to large amount of shit memes like duck faces, selfies and contemporary ebonics such as "cray cray"
this will be the worst season and it's a clear sign, this show needs to die
animation goofs and mixups are normal in animation
hating current year memes just because they're current is dumb. a show existing in a time these things exist isnt the end of the world
and you're a dumbass
>actually defending this shit
here is your (You)
why do you think I'd consider being logical about defending something rather than reactionary and bias an insult?
It was an annoying scene, because yeah, they lost the wands and someone should have noticed. But it's hardly a big deal. It happens all the time, oh well.
using memes if just lazy writing, you aren't creating anything humorous, you are just referencing something people know, it doesnt enhance the dialog in anyway
it wasnt even put in clearly in any scene, just hap haphazardly slapped in to be relevant
the wand thing is lazy and egregious, they didnt even try and yeah someone should've seen it
just because "it happeneds all the time" doesnt mean it is fine to do so
The duckface joke felt dated and annoying.
Too many running gags. Too much of Timmys Dad.
I don't think Chloe can save it. She felt way too much like a toned down Tootie rehash.
Already dropped. I might draw FoP again but I'm so unmotivated right now.
It's also not the worst thing in the world, is all I'm saying. Add it's not something to hate this season for, specifically. That's just overreacting.
I cant argue on the wand scene, and also Chlo's hair bow annoyingly changing colour a lot. Hope that shit gets sorted out over time.
I'm gonna disagree on the memes. It's not really inherently bad, it can just be done poorly. It never really got anything worse than "meh" for me. Though I did actually enjoy the picture jokes when they were at the centre of the earth because the contrast of them taking happy pictures with skeletons is always something I like.
It feels like she's exactly like Tootie.
Her first wish was even about sharing like how Tootie did in her birthday episode.
The VA is better, but I always thought toots first VA was highly underrated.
The only real similarity I saw was how Timmy was annoyed by both of them. And it seems like he's already gotten over that with Chloe. Other than that, Tootie is a stalker with a crush on Timmy. Chloe doesn't have any romantic interest in Timmy, at least not any shown yet, and her biggest traits involve her being a tryhard that ends up alienating her from others and being into schoolwork and nature and stuff.
I don't hate Grey. Her first attempts at voicing Tootie were kind of bad. By Channel Chasers she grew into the voice. She's one of the few that got better, not worse, over time, at least until her disappearance.
She's a bit more though, Chloe seems to be really neurotic and gets high off being productive and helping people, while Tootie was just nice because she knows what it's like to experience mean-ness.
uh no, i mean after OP's episode.
he treats a nice girl like shit for no reason
like absolutely no fucking reason
tootie at least was explained right from the beginning "she's vicky's sister and creeps me out"
but chloe DINDU NUFFIN and timmy just started acting like a turd
that annoyed me more than anything about this episode
Look what I just found.
I'm kinda sad because I was hoping she'd join the Cream Puffs because that's a potential Tootie episode, but otherwise this looks cool.
Oh yeah. I guess you could say he was jealous, especially since she started showing up everywhere
I think he reacted the same to AJ at first though before becoming friends with him too though. So I think they just had to accelerate it since it wasnt movie length like Fairly Odd Baby
might be cool but yeah shouldnt she be in the cream puffs? this could be some GRRRL POWER shit. chloe literally had a girl power poster in her room after all.
timy was always friends with AJ. from the first episode of the series. the one episode i can remember where they didnt like each other was when AJ kept rubbing in the fact he got in an A and so timmy wished he was smart
It was just an artist posting some of his stuff on his Tumblr, including this titlecard.
Everyone is gonna take it that way (there's already vids of feminism ruining FoP) but it's likely just the fact that the show already established her as good at this sort of thing. Either way Squirrel Scout episodes are always good.
About to watch it for the first time, I'll provide my thoughts on it as soon as I finish it.
Decided to do it as I watch it
Well, that was bad. Honestly really bad. I get that they are trying to show the chance but this was terrible. Also Chloe's voice is annoying as fuck.
Three minutes in and it's already established that Chloe is the ultimate Mary Sue. Fucking wonderful.
Holy fuck this is Rock Bottom done wrong. I know the episode is supposed to be very frustrating but at the very least it should be funny. Which it isn't.
Also is there a name for this kind of thing?
>Chloe is literally Stargirl from this book
No, really, they look the exact same.
No deepest lore or waifus. It's what gets threads. Even FoP and Gumball threads only get kept up enough for normal conversation because Trixie and Tootie fags/Teri and Nicole fags just file dumping
>Star is Marco's boyfriend now?
Also I dont know what you mean, Timmy's frustration was funny and probably the best part of the episode was seeing him get more and more desperate. But different tastes are allowed
You know, is it just me or did the slapstick got far worst? Like, before the show had cartoonish slapstick but you could still feel like characters could still get hurt, right? Now even Timmy can manage to do things like screaming for two days or coming from the center of earth in a few seconds, it just doesn't feel right
Also Cosmo's slapstick is fucking awful, literally "hey look, a knife...ops, i just stabbed myself" every fucking time
It felt like this episode (and maybe a few last season?) are bring Jorgen back to being powerful and intimidating, even if he's friends with them now. I like that. A lot of the poor characterizations are slowly being undone imo
>Chloe learning the horrors of communism
Okay i laughed, also
>Friday being removed meaning the end of the world since its the day the big wand is recharged
Okay, first, you didn't introduced the big wand for those who never saw it, because you know, new season? Second, why not use a better excuse like "without fridays there is no friday 13"?
I am speaking for the majority, and this is what they do, where do you think all the generals come from? What attracted /co/ to watch shit like MLP in the first place?
You wanna know what I find weird? They pulled that "Poof can talk" crap a few episodes back but he has only appeared in 1 episode after that. He's flat out missing in other episodes, but Foop shows up out of nowhere because Creator's Pet. What's the point of having a gimmick like that if you're not even gonna use it?
I was wondering about that too, though I just assumed it related back to Friday the 13th anyways.
Also, you're right and >>79129970 must really not be seeing it. It's obvious that lore and waifus/husbandos are a large part of the cartoon section of /co/
its not that, but any time someone comes in here and starts bitching about "tootie and trixie fags" when the thread is 90% talking about other shit, its usually followed by a mass deletion of his posts and sometimes other posts that happened to mention them. its the equivalent of a mudslime coming in and just blowing themselves up to take out maybe one or two other people.
and yes, they should've done better writing with the friday the 13th thing. it makes no sense. the anti-fairies arent even really evil, they're just assholes who cause bad luck.
>It's only been around 7 episodes since then, and 4 since his last appearance when he talked
Maybe give it more time? It was sensible to focus the intro plot on the kids and Cosmo/Wanda.
Well, I finished it. Didn't make me laugh, at least it wasn't anything cringeworthy. Not particularly a fan of Chloe but whatever.
4/10, probably won't watch again.
>its not that, but any time someone comes in here and starts bitching about "tootie and trixie fags" when the thread is 90% talking about other shit, its usually followed by a mass deletion of his posts and sometimes other posts that happened to mention them.
never said anything about that, just said waifu shit is one of the reasons why /co/ spergs over mediocre/bad shows in the first place
>its the equivalent of a mudslime coming in and just blowing themselves up to take out maybe one or two other people.
Okay, calm your autism now
>What attracted /co/ to watch shit like MLP in the first place?
Not him, but:
It actually being decent as opposed to what you'd usually expect out of a made-for-toys cartoon, it being made by Lauren Faust who'd already made a bit of a name for herself in animation circles, and a decent amount of the people in the first threads probably being femanons.
If you want to force it into what you're saying /co/ usually talks about, then it was the idea that there was the humor of the show along with the idea that there was some lore to it with how the story. Adding to that, the personalities of the characters, along with the variety of them, allowed them to be "waifu"able.
To interject further, though, I feel it should be pointed out that just because you can simplify it to a pattern doesn't really mean it's a bad thing.
Shows with children, or made for children, tend to be more innocent or have more thought put into them due to needing to captivate the children long enough and also due to the creator wanting to do more with their creation or also trying to make sure the adult watching isn't bored either., shows with lore are interesting presciently because of that, it makes the setting more real or interesting to delve in, creating something people are able to enjoy beyond a face value, and if people are able to have discussions about waifus then that's just mean that the creator has successfully created a character worth caring about or just simply they've succesfully created an appealing design.
>most cartoons are mediocre at best anyway
>ffs people here consider spongebob a "classic"
What is a "classic" to you, and no, age doesn't instantly mean its good
>People are attracted to cheesecake characters or interesting characters. Who would of thought.
Are you seriously this delusional? Or just really fucking new? /co/ doesn't need any of that shit, just slap some cheap fapbait and little girls and they will be all over the media, just look at most of the fotm we have here, i am surprised people even watch the shows in the first place
Im not the biggest fan of her design (its cute but nothing special to me) and although I have yet to see the new episodes with her thw one thing I love is those freckles and the gap tooth.
Thats literally one of my favorite things on a character, its just adorble to me. Im also may or may not be guilty if adding that to alot of my characters.
My point is that fags here act like /co/ has a complex taste, its not hard to make a successful show around here, just add the shit i said and its pretty much done, yes, there are cartoons aimed at children that are legit good, but /co/ doesn't care about that, all they care about is the same shit they always do, and just because YOU are not like this it doesn't mean the majority also isn't, because at the end of the day the shows that will become popular here will reach this status because of the reasons i mentioned
>b-b-but muh waifus
wow, egg on the face of the moron in this thread
the top one is probably Poof's first episode, that had something crazy like 10 million viewers or something. the live action movies were pretty highly rated as well. channel chasers also had a very high viewership.
the lowest are pretty much the last batch of season 9 episodes and now apparently this one. its just been a non-stop downward trend since Sparky.
Those fucking comments, man
even musselman didnt take over regular show this badly
Most likely because she has the same V.A?
>Good r34 loli Chole, by GOOD drawfriends when?
This seems to just be a statement pulled from nowhere. But either way, it's more about Nick's airing schedule being more sporadic than it used to be, the segmentation of the market, etc.
I just hate when people dont put ratings in context, like not realising why late night talk shows having 20 milllion viewers in the past and 5 million now are because more talk shows.
Either way I dont believe it (we dont have numbers for half the episodes.)
I'm gonna watch it first. Again, it's about execution rather than it simply existing, (some of the Crocker/Dad episodes from last season were actually really good) so I'm gonna watch it before I hate it.
not him but its accurate. only 1.2 mil viewers
the only silver lining is that the rest of Nick did worse
true but this was hyped pretty heavily by nick for a month and to get such a pathetic rating either shows
>even the target audience is sick of it
>chloe was a bad idea/people care more about trixie or tootie than a new girl
or most likely a mix of both
Exactly, people waving ratings as a secret "win" for a show they dont like are always frustrating. Especially since nowadays, first time ratings are less important with stuff like reruns, online service views, etc. I'm sure Fox only kept Bob's Burgers because the Adult Swim reruns are making the show more profitable than it seems on the surface.
what? The target audience are most likely new viewers. And the seasons are so spread apart now there's not much to get sick of.
>chloe was a bad idea/people care more about trixie or tootie than a new girl
uh, yeah that must be it, sure
It was likely just a bad night then. TV ratings usually need more context than just the show numbers to make sense. Stuff llike what is going on at the time, or the day it premieres/etc are important.
They still air older episodes all the time.
Tootie was also made the end game girl with that live action movie which was recent. Eventually people get sick of shows playing with their feelings or insulting their intelligence. Chloe had a horrible build up and her introduction was worse. I expect ratings will go down even more.
>Tootie was also made the end game girl with that live action movie which was recent.
How come Trixie was used as Timmy's love interest in the big Wishology movie then? With no Tootie? Why should live action movies that aren't even in continuity with the show anymore trump what's actually happened in the show?
You know what did happen in the movies? Timmy turning into a fairy, meaning he's not going to wind up as his Channel Chasers future self and have kids.
I liked the pairing with Trixie when they actually had her as vain but still having some hidden depths instead of just being a shallow bitch.
>"I've suffered for so long, why can't I die?"
~Fairly Odd Parents
Difference between the two: in Channel Chasers, Tootie has no interaction with Timmy whatsoever, so the only possible connection to Tootie would be that one of Timmy's kids wears glasses, (though also ignoring how her hair is also the same style as Trixie's including the pink hairband, just shorter and brown), Timmy and Trixie actually have romantic moments in Wishology.
I don't know if your serious, or just trying to fuel a petty ship war to derail the thread.
I'm talking about what every day viewers watched. They don't know or care if the live action movies count or not.
As far as these people know, he ends up with Tootie. That's what I meant.
Like I said, I'm a Trixie fanboy, but it's pathetic how some of them keep twisting the plot or bashing other characters to make a failure of a ship work.
>all those unused Chloe concepts that look leaps and bounds better and more expressive than 90% of Hartman's character designs, including the finalized Chloe who's literally just an inverted Timmy (gap instead of buckteeth, light long hair instead of dark short hair, etc., fucker probably thinks it's super-clever too)
>the same thing happened with Kitty, female secondary lead with a design that stood out from the jumble of awfulness that was everything else, who was well-liked despite the show being crap and bombing
This is just proof to me that Hartman should've cut his losses years ago and made a show that was mostly/entirely unique-looking female characters with appealing designs, the visuals could've at least somewhat made up for his terrible writing and voice talent coordination. Likely would've hurt his ego a bit, killing his first project and moving on to make "girly crap", but it would've been better than this for sure.
Maybe he could've done something like a finished version of Faust's eternally-in-limbo "Galaxy Girls", with a weird enough setting and characters to let him keep recycling plot types and rehashing the same shit with new characters. At least then he wouldn't still be milking FoP to death anymore like he is now, the same way George Lucas regularly pulls out his one notable accomplishment from atop its pedestal for another round of soulless cash-whoring.
On that note, I can't help but wonder if Hartman deeply hates FoP now, after it probably being some random shit he did to get a foothold thinking he'd move on to bigger and better things with a couple years, only for it to trap him in a cycle of repetition and become the sole thing of note he's ever made. That, or maybe he hates it because it overshadows anything else he's done, like the author of Winnie the Pooh's other shit sinking like a rock while Pooh became a classic if I remember right. I can't think of any reason he wouldn't hate it by now, come to think of it.
keep in mind chester and chloe already have a huge similarity and thats when they try to do "good" they cause more problems and it backfires
makes more sense than HURRR HAREM SHOW TIMMY SHOULD FUCK EVERYONE
Timmy wishes to be a sumo wrestler in the promo.
I remember her fans flipping out over the status quo at the end, saying true love should've prevented it.
I pointed out that Tootie was the true love and the prevented memory loss in Birthday Wish was proof. So much rage was had.
The Tootie vs Trixie thing was fun, before all the samefags and metaposting ruined it.
>but otherwise this looks cool.
It's going to be another boys vs girls episode, girls are better. With an aesop at the end that both are equal. And Timmy and Chloe friendship will be fixed by the end.
yeah , to talk about cartoons not about extremely little Insignificant animation errors
i mean how did that anon even notice that? it's like he just wants to find things to complain about
Sure. Although I think the episode itself will be tamed, Chloe is a fuck up, so I think it'll be harmless. And hopefully avoid the vs. plot.
Chloe because she is aware of her on faults, seem like an overarchiver, so the title card can refer to that, Chloe trying to keep the "perfect" facade and not ruin everything.
>being triggered by politically-incorrect talk
Safe space is two blocks down, buddy.
more like timmy's dad will obsess over a random food item that is brought up in that episode only as a constant annoying running gag (must've been what the nick cateriing service provides while they brainstorm this bullshit up) while timmy and chloe have a rehashed competition like what he had against tootie in an earlier episode.
seriously every fucking episode ive watched since sparky has been an outright rehash of an older episode.
>while timmy and chloe have a rehashed competition like what he had against tootie in an earlier episode.
They can change things up, anon. And the title card can refer to how exhausted Timmy and Dad are from Chloe.
>Chloe being Chloe tries her best to keep everything intact
>Misfortunes befalls upon the Turners and Dad is too much of a dolt to realize it while Timmy tries to rectify Chloe destruction
>By the time they reach their destination Chloe is unharmed while the Turners are harmed
He's an attention whore, saying anything negative to get a response.
>Stop feeding it.
Or, rather he wishes he could wish.
Found this in another thread.
What's the source? It looks official.
Chloe is always adorable anon
It's funny, the way she's positioned as a character vs Poof who can be at school or Sparky who can fuck off to wherever, she will likely appear in more episodes than both of them from now on.
>Chloe is always adorable anon
More adorable then.
>It's funny, the way she's positioned as a character vs Poof who can be at school or Sparky who can fuck off to wherever, she will likely appear in more episodes than both of them from now on.
What I'm curious to know is if they consider Chloe to be as much of a main character as Timmy is. As in, if they'll still have episodes that are just Timmy and no Chloe, will there be episodes where there's Chloe but no Timmy?
My problem with them is that they're detailed in ways that look rather ugly. Often times they just remind me of those ugly Direct to video Scooby doo, Looney Toons and Tom and Jerry movie box art pictures. Just my opinion though.
>Spongebob started two years before FOP
>FOP is a season ahead of Spongebob
It will likely be similar to Poof episodes where Timmy played a minor role. In fact, that's what the next episode already looks like. Made sense since it'll show how she carries an episode herself early on, unless I'm wrong and it goes in a different direction
Oh, well that I understand. Sometimes it looks odd, though I usually like it
Not really a whole season, Spongebob Season 9 looks to be almost done
Not anymore, but definitely right up to early last year. I'm glad Nick's slight renaissance also involves airing this stuff more often since they actually have a block of not CGI not liscenced cartoons that are actually average to good in thier lineup
I like the extra detail in them. Just an art style I dont hate.
But the main reason is that they are pretty creative looking, rather than just standard words over the same background all the time.
Also, since we're on titlecards, Hartman conveniently uploaded this today.
I like most of these more than the one we got. A shame, really.
Nah, she just gets really jazzed about community service.
I don't know how to feel about this episode. I like Chloe, something about her character and her interactions really click. The writing and jokes for this episode is still pretty shit though. I guess it's kind of like Rugrats after the Paris movie. Kimmie wasn't a bad character per se, its just that the writing of the show got really terrible and formulaic.
Intro change was clever, but the new singers sound kinda shit. I do feel like they might want to change it again so Timmy doesn't seem as bitchy. As for the actual episode, here's the bits I found funny
>Mom asking Dad if she looks pretty, and him shooing her away
Begone Temptress, you're giving me the tingles
>Timmy immediately wishing for no fridays after Chole asks to have the faries fridays
>I'm so pretty, I'm giving ME the tingles!
>I'm not crying! Someone must be peeling an onion down here!
>It turns out this beautiful woman is actually your mother! Her lunch was so uniquely terrible, it had to be her!
All in all, Dad had the best jokes, Chole was lame, and everyone sounded really annoying and shit didn't make sense and wasn't very funny.
So nah, I think I'm still done with this show. I guess the dog and baby are dead now?
Started off as a Phil Hartman impression that gradually got higher and higher pitched. I remember catching the Christmas episode recently and it was a lot more tolerable back then.
I get this. I liked it enough but I do hope it's not the peak of the season, quality wise. Though it at least made me feel that it's gonna be better overall than it's been for a few years, even if not back up to the first 3 seasons. The upcoming plots look good. It's easier to incorporate a human into a plot than a dog.
>season 9 started 4 years ago and still hasn't ended yet
Why all FoP characters are giant faces and small bodies, the laziest design ever made?
>Was cosmo's voice always that horrible?
Yes, because this guy always was some sort of magical memespouting retard.
whats with the joke where whenever she goes somewhere alone she gets raped
Vicky last appeared two years ago.
trixie last appeared six years ago.
tootie last appeared in the main show 4 years ago.
francis last appeared 4 years ago
veronica last appeared 6 years ago.
jeff last appeared 13 years ago.
They are all gone.
vicky was in the episode
It is popular, it's just that the creator only wanted to do it this long and Disney agreed.
>jeff last appeared 13 years ago.
You mean Mark's friend? Or that elf from the earlier episodes? Either way, who cares about Jeff?
Anon probably meant to use Mark Chang but ended up looking for one of his friends from the early episodes.
Can't find a good clip on Youtube, so scroll down on this site to watch their clip.
>Had to read and give a report on that in my senior year for the final grade.
Is this what Vietnam vets go through?
I only look forward just to see how worn down the show has become. Last week's episode was a good example.
