Marco the heart breaker edition
So... the natural order is restored, huh?
If this post is dubs it will mean the weekend of Sabco will continue.
I'd split Jackie's skateboard in two if you catch my drift.
>This show has no new episodes, continues to have Generals
>Steven Universe gets the boot from /co/ when it stops having new episodes
Okay this is officially starting to creep me out!!
If SU had weekend only threads, maybe they wouldn't be stuck living in the /trash/ with all the furfags.
Except it's gotten to a point where the "weekend only" threads aren't self enforced, but also forced by the mods.
but c'est la vie.
Also, >>78856386. It helps that this show isn't likened to tumblr and popular to hate. Like if you go on /v/ and see one of those greentext threads with a random image. If it's SU, expect shitposting and deletion, if it's Star, expect the usual /v/ faggotry.
Starco is cute and perfect
CUTE AND PERFECT
The show is not very popular, the fanbase is too small to grow into a cancerous tumour in the boards that needs to be removed. also keeping it to the weekends helps for sure.
/sveg/ kinda appears on friday, floats around the catalog and then on monday fades away like a fart in the wind, like it was never there...
I genuinelly think this is a signal from the heavens to tell me to drop the Sabco crazyness before its too late and it unleashes a true evil that will corrupt us all...
It's way too creepy! this weekend is weird!
>Star Butterfly will never be delivered to you all bound up in lace, leather and a raging ladyboner, stewing in a big red box under the tree at Christmas, scrubbed out in the noggin by the elves so she doesn't any of those pointless thoughts that aren't about serving your needs forever
literally, why even live...
>>See, it's anons like this that are the reason I don't watch the show.
>don't watch a show because someone you'll never meet had a creepy fantasy about her
You might as well never watch anything.
>people having desires I don't share makes me not want to watch a show
To be fair, I don't watch this show either. I've been meaning too, but I'd rather finish my sci fi backlog first.
seriously its interdimensional & cute. plus it really picks up after blood moon ball, its joined my heart with su, at, and mike tyson where im waiting on the next one hard
>I'd rather not be associated with paedophiles.
>posts on 4chan
>no interdimensional magic princess gf.
oh well i could have it way worse.
>Spongebob reaction image
>comes to /co/ solely for Steven Universe
>only interactions with other threads or cartoons always involve somehow Steven Universe
you are the embodiment of everything that is wrong with this board
nature itself cries out for your shitposting and i am its willing instrument
part of me think that Tom creat some kind of idea that he need Star do heal is anger issue, thats why he so crazy to have her back.
this will be the thing about him in season 2, about how he going to move on
It's probably as simple as him still liking her.
Star dumped him, not the oposite, so he clearly still likes her but being a total jerk makes Star not want to be with him. I don't think there's anything deeper than that.
> Sun Tzu once said that the way to a man’s heart is through his stomach: and for that reason, he invented SEXY PANCAKES!
>How do you make sexy pancakes? That’s very simple!
>First: ask someone to make pancakes for you. In my case, I asked Ms Diaz — and she’s always SO kind, a REAL ANGEL!
>…Wait: so THAT’s why she’s called “Angie”! Ohmygosh I totally knew it! One day I have to ask her to compare wings!
>Anyhooo: once I got a plate of pancakes, with some whipped cream, chocolate syrup and two cherries, I MADE THEM SEXXXXAAAAY!
>And let me tell ya: those were some REAL sexy pancakes, homie! R-rated pancakes — FULL-FRONTAL pancakes!
>One “Radiant Shadow Transform!” later, I was once again in French maid costume (shorter heels, this time), and so I served breakfast to the enemy.
>…But in a ssseeexxaaayy way: I walked up to Marco with a very bouncy gait, put the plate in front of him, then leaned on him, and whispered in his ear:
>“I hope you’re in the mood for pancakes, because THESE pancakes sure are in the mood for YOU!” and I would’ve high-fived myself right there, cuz that line was 100% pure GENIUS!
>Marco blabbered something and ate dem cakes.
>Ms Diaz was kinda puzzled about what I did, but I took her to the side and was like “don’t sweat it, Ms D, I’ll explain later”. So I guess I’ll have to explain it to her, at some point. …Maybe tomorrow.
>Anyway: mission “sexy pancakes” was a success, so I’m going for a second serving of revenge tomorrow.
>…And this time, X-RATED pancakes! I’ll just need some strawberry ice cream, lychees and a banana. …Oh, and at least twice the pancakes! That will be AWESOME!
> S B
>PS: quick update!
>Marco wasn’t even looking at ’em from the RIGHT perspective!
>He ate less than a tenth of what was in the plate, then said he’ll stick with buttered toast for the time being.
>No appreciation for my art: pearls before swines!
>Tom tries to put the moves on Marcia
What happens next?
Yay more Diary!
Rest well, anon! you deserve it!
I think I would like to see stuff with Marquesa
I like to call Fem!Marco that since "Marco" is an italian name (Marcos is the mexican variant) and so is Marquesa.interatcing with Alfonzo and Ferguson or the other girls.
I want to see Star's interactions with all the Marco's
The way I see it, those are all princesses around him. As long as it's all in the duty of getting them to come quietly to St. Olga's, I don't think Lady would mind. He just happens to be very good at "recruiting".
Besides, what Lady and Sol share is deeper (and creepier) than what any rational being would want to get between.
> the battle is still full-on — and today, it’s been also literal!
>Once again, Ludo (bless his heart) had the brilliant idea to get his army’s butts kicked by us.
>But THIS time, I took advantage of the situation for my goals — I am SO SMART!
>During the whole fight, I played the damsel in distress: I acted so perfectly, they should give me one of those golden statuettes with the bald swordsman!
>I stumbled, and cried in fear. And each time a monster took a swing at me, I threw myself against Marco, and clung to him like a cute baby koala.
>I think at some point the monsters kinda caught on that something weird was going on: but I guess they thought that getting less punches to the face was well worth playing along with me.
>Marco was all like: “what’s wrong, Star?!” and “can’t you at least use some magic?”, and more blah blah blah…!
>…He can be such a stick in the mud, sometimes!
>So yeah: when I got tired of seeing him stumble around, and thought there were no more ways I could milk that situation, I casted something like a “Sugar Lamprey Death Frappuccino” or something.
>(That reminds me: I should start writing down SOMETHING on that stupid “Magical Instruction Book”: it’s kind of expected, I think… But crap: I’d hate having ol’ creepy Glossaryck breathing down my neck, and taking apart my handwriting!)
>When the battle was over, I kept playing my part, and was all trembly, and swoony, and like:
>“Oh, Marco: I’ve been SO SCARED!”
>Also, I had him taking me up, and carry me in his arms up inside the house: more clinging and rubbing all over the enemy!
>Then, Marco drops me on the couch and goes to get the first-aid kit: turns out that because of my pantomime I got kinda hurt.
>Nothing serials, obviously: scratched elbows, and a knee.
>I let the enemy take care of my wounds — especially the knee, ’cause I wore this mini-mini-miniskirt, and you can’t take yo’ eyes off princess’ THIGHS!
>Marco was all like: “you have to be more careful, this time you’ve let your guard down too much” — well, guess WHO let his guard down THIS time?!…
>…So I flashed my panties.
>And I’m almost certain he saw SOMETHING.
>…Well, OK: his head was mostly turned, because Mr D was asking something from the other room — and STUPID Marco chose exactly THAT moment to answer.
>But I’m SURE that, at least with a corner of his eye, that despicable princess-hater caught at least a glimpse of fabric! …Maybe he even saw the drawing of the happy puppy face!
>That boy will soon capitulate, I promise!
> S B
Fuck, stupid phone. This is what happens when I try to nut without getting out of bed.
> This weekend marked a new phase of my battle strategy: it’s way more risky, but the rewards are def worth it!
>Phase 2 consists in bringing the pressure on Marco up to irresistible levels: alluring stares, innuendos, and groping are now a-go.
>I bounced my butt against him so often, I think I could risk breaking my sacrum!
>Anyway, full-body, full-time physical contact, paired with psychological warfare, are starting to give some encouraging results.
>Marco is baffled and disoriented, for the most part: like a deer in the headlights, he can’t bring himself to safety from this mewnian goddess of love!
>This morning, I collected all of my underwear — plus some that I bought especially for my goals — and lay in ambush: when finally Marco passed by, I rammed him full speed, and:
>“Whoops!” bras and panties everywhere!
>“Oh, sorry Marco! I’m such a ditz! Pleeeese, could you help me picking them up?”
>…And he was “alright” and kinda huffing — but you could see it IN HIS EYES, that he felt the stellar sexyness nearly overwhelm him.
>But he tried changing subjects, asking “wait, why were you carrying around your underwear? Didn’t you do your laundry yesterday?!”
>Well, no crap, Marco: I couldn’t bury you in dirty panties, now could I?!
>But in reality I was like “eheheh! Silly Marco, you don’t know about girlie stuff!”
>The day of my victory gets closer and closer!
> S B
This is so darn great, cant wait to see how it all concludes, Star is so funny and adorable in this.
I will see you all later, /sveg/! keep the thread up until then! Don't forget is still the weekend of Sabco! ...for better or worse...
I AM FREE FROM AGDQ!! FREEDOM!
Marco is an honourable Catholic boy. He will wait till he and Star are married, then when the lights are off, they will
do some really kinky ass shit, so kinky that even the God damn German fetishists would have their libidos shrivel
Later, Ama! Have a nice rest, and enjoy your freedom!
I can't promise for more Sabco, unfortunately: this green of mine is kinda off-topic, sorry!
I don't think I'll go full-on nudity
(this time), but something like that…
I love it when you do that, It means you got something planned
STARCO IS CUTE AND PERFECT!
CUTE AND PERFECT!
That's some mighty forshadowing there if I've ever seen it.
>New episodes when? Forgot.
In honor of dubs, here's some shitty traced ms paint Sabco
We need more aloof attractive demonesses gents.
Funny if Star and Marco try and get Tom shipped to said demoness, huh?
> the war may be at a crucial impasse!
>Today, my bootay — the most powerful weapon in my arsenal — has failed me!
>Let’s start from the very beginning: another movie night — this time, Marco insisted on choosing the movie, and I was fine with that: real pros can play on any kind of field!
>So, yeeeaaah: martial arts movie, AGAIN.
>Oh, let’s not get confused: I freaking LOVE that stuff! Give me bad-lip-synched, over-acted, wire-worked kung fu goodies any day of the week, please!
>…But that action stuff also tends to draw all of Marco’s attention — so I had to go full overdrive, to get my assaults to connect!
>Still dressed like it weren’t freaking winter, I was all over the enemy, hugging him, and rubbing myself against him — it was kind of reverse-chiropractic!
>I was being successfully distracting enough, so I guess I HAD to expect some form of retaliation…
>Well, at some point, while I was laying across his lap and intent on pinching his chest, the vile Marco took full advantage of my exposed midriff, and mercilessly gave a powerful raspberry to my poor, defenseless tummy.
>…And then another, and another one!
>Needless to say, yours truly was desperately shaking with laughter: unfortunately, though, that wasn’t the end of it.
>…Because of all the laughs, I let out a fart.
>And Marco burst out laughing, and I with him, and we freaking pushed each other, and throw fake punches at each other — but the DAMAGE was done: in his eyes, my sexiness must’ve dropped to a meager fraction of what I had accomplished to reach over the last week!
>But I won’t give up that easily — because that’s NOT the way a Butterfly fights!
> S B
Unfortunately, we were given no precise dates: the beginning of Season 2 could be anywhere between March, to next summer.
Hiatus is hell…
But you're welcome to stay with us, if you like!
Man, Star is in her darkest most un-sexy hour. How will she pull herself out of this one
with more school time strategies I say!Seriously the few you did last time were just so amusing when picturing them in my head. But anything is amazing, really enjoying the greens Folly.
Ah, thanks for the info.
Kinda sad, but them's the breaks. I suppose I could stick around for a bit.
I hope next season expands on the capacities of some of the human side characters/the other school kids, maybe even providing them with consistent development and screen-time; not to say I don't understand or appreciate that Star and Marco are meant to be the mains or anything, just that I would have liked more inclusion for Ferguson and Jackie and the one blond kid in their class whose name was said like once, etc. (good grief, I've can't recall half these character's names; has it been that long?) Maybe even that bully rich kid from Marco's dojo. I also wouldn't mind Marco's martial artist side being played up a tad, depending in how it was done (the training/competition side mostly).
I also wonder what Toffee's deal was. It's very obvious the writers wanted to keep that secret based on the breadcrumbs they chose to give us about him.
Anyway, thanks for listen you all!
> another school week has begun, and once more I am spending it freaking grinding myself all over Marco, like there’s no tomorrow.
>Turns out Ms Skullnick won’t allow me to follow the lessons while sitting on Marco’s lap.
>I didn’t get what her problem was; but if I really had to guess, I’d say she’s probably still a little bit miffed at me for the whole “turned into a troll” business…
>Anyway, the enemy still found himself at a loss, when facing my public effusions: his male friends elbow him and make insinuations about how lucky he is — AND HE IS FREAKING LUCKY AS SHOOT, because it’s not everyday, that a gorgeous, modest princess lapdances her days away for some disrespectful plebeian!
>But let’s get back on track. Today, Marco has tried to employ a new tactic: running away from me!
>Poor deluded fool: nobody escapes Star Butterfly!
>…Though my high-heels made me lose him for a while, during a break.
>Then Janna wanted to talk to me, and she stumbled around the subject for a while, before asking me if Marco and I were a thing, or something.
>And I was: “he wishes! No, way, Janna: I won’t mingle with such a dim-witted clod! I just want to USE him to have my fun; and then, I’ll laugh at him, and go my merry way!” but for some reason, she then began rambling and rambling…
>In the end, I had to cut short with her and leave: I still can’t figure out what was the problem with her — I guess Janna was just mad haha.
>Anyway, school day went just fine, got another “Fantastic” to proudly show up to my parents, and the war against the hoodied brute is once more going according to plan!
>I’m taking the evening to plot some more assaults: wish me luck!
> S B
Keep on rocking my friend!
>I guess Janna was just mad haha.
Does this mean that the other girls will be trying to "Save" Marco from Star?
I'm glad you're still enjoying these: I'm about to start the last chapters of the story — I don't think I have the endurance to keep writing at this pace for another weekend!
That plot point might have been interesting, but I'm afraid it would've lenghened the story too much! Sorry!
This one. Hope is a background character that has had like 2 lines in the series so far but hey, that's just enough material for these fuckers to work with. Even with such little material some here have made their own interpretation of this character to use in their greentexts and fanfics. When you're bored and on hiatus you gotta find ways to pass the time.
Most of us would like to see the side characters play a bigger role in the show since theyre so underutilized and have potential to grow. An interview with Nefcy a while back revealed that we will see a bit more of them in season 2, specifically Tom and Janna but hey, who knows what else we might get.
Yeah your sentiments align with the most common hopes I've seen in the thread for season 2. Star and Marco's friendship and ensuing hijinks are great, the rock the seires rests on. But for the series to progress it needs to develop background characters into secondary characters, and perhaps even some more primary ones.
Janna seems like the most likely candidate in that regard, considering the shows creator talked about her popularity in season 1 and how they're going to include her more. In addition to that, Tom will be making his return, so there's a lot of potential in that regard. I'm a sucker for the reformed bad guy turning into a friend, there's fun areas to explore such as him becoming surprising buddies with Marco, much to Star's disbelief/dislike. Another point of contention between the main two would be interesting.
I'd also love to see more on the development front in terms of the magic and martial arts, good theme for episodes and helps outline progression of the characters in a clear way.
I think the villain front will be a strong point, given that Toffee and Miss Heinous are still about as major threats, and as minor -run of the mill- monsters go we can see some unique characters hopefully, like the ones in the intro.
>modest princess lapdances
Oh Star, you precious thing you. Though, that being said both the bitch meter and desperation meter are hitting critical levels
I welcome the fallout.
Can't imagine what they'd be thinking of the whole situation, poor Marco man.
Ah best to have a conclusive ending to these things I say, always a shame when fan content doesn't conclude.
So are a bunch of pedophiles that just pirate the episodes enough to keep this show going?
I don't think cartoon porn of underage characters is enough to convince the higher ups at Disney that it's worth the money, as cheap as the animation apparently is.
Hey friends, I posted this in in the thread yesterday but it was pretty dead at 3 AM.
I decided to write a fic, first one of its kind for me: http://pastebin.com/h4SXhhmi
Could you guys give me some feedback and/or advice?
Maybe. I don't really know where i'd take it.
> this afternoon, I spent two hours inside the bathroom, trying to get Marco to “surprise” me while I was showering.
>Don’t worry though: I was wearing a flesh-colored bikini, and was ready to drape myself with the curtains and scream. Dudes REALLY love it, when a girl is all shy and embarrassed!
>So I altered my plans, and bandaged myself in the smallest towel I could find.
>Then, I began looking for Marco: the little coward had locked himself inside his room, probably with the PATHETIC excuse of preparing himself for a school test!
>…But that couldn’t dissuade Star-freaking-Butterfly!
>So, got inside the room passing through the window.
>And since Marco had earphones on (listening to some BORING mewnian-like music) I could sneak right onto him.
>I latched on Marco — who got comically startled — and when he asked what was my problem, I said:
>“There’s a big spider inside the shower: PLEASE, Marco, kill it!”
>And he was like: “Star, how did you get in here?! Did you REALLY climb up to the second floor half-naked?!”
>Then I said: “It’s a BIG BIG spider, Marco!” and I was clinging to his arm so tight, he could’ve lost his hand to gangrene.
>I also was pressing my chest against his back, because even without stuffing inside the bikini, boobies are still boobies!
>But then, Marco went kinda mad.
>He was like “I’m starting to get fed with your shenanigans!” — and you could tell, he was really conflicted between freeing himself from my sexy-death-grip, or letting this beautiful flower of Mewni have her way with him (…as if!).
>…But then, the unexpected happen! Marco went all like:
>“Oooh! …NOW, I get what’s going on, here!”
>And I tried being all: “There is NOTHING going on, Marco, nuh-huh! I’m just a poor comely maiden who’s in desperate need of a manly man!”
>…Aaaaand NOW I can tell that it couldn’t NOT sound bullcrap — but whatever!
>Long story short: I think Marco now suspects the truth!
>I won’t be able to keep my ruse much longer: I need to get results, and FAST!
>In the near future, I may have to go to extreme length: but I won’t stop against anything, in order to get to VICTORY!
>…Tomorrow, though, I think I’ll skip school: I caught a little cold, and I’ll try to spend the next day recovering.
>Until next time!
> S B
Hi , RedHoodie! With this Star diary I've been on a roll — but I'm starting to feel kinda spent: getting inside of Star's mind can be exhausting!
I feel the same: a nice story feels WAY better when at least the main arc is resolved in some fashion.
It kind of sucks that the March premiere date along with all those episode titles were just a bunch of bologna. It looks like this hiatus ain't gonna be over any time soon so get comfy. Despite all that we have to look on the bright side.
At least we aren't Tom.
If you don't feel like writing anymore you can end this next week
we will hate you forever for this, don't strain your magic creative brain!
>Breaking inside the room of a teenage boy that has been administered big doses of inappropriate flirting
Careful Star, you are the one risking to see something that'd make you embarassed...
I vaguely recall someone saying that.
I see (though wasn't that scene meant to be a gag?). Thanks you guys!
Interesting about the interview. Being honest, those two wouldn't be my first choices, particularly the latter, though the former is an obvious choice when you think on it. Either way, I'm sure they'll be fine.
too much good headcanons will be lost, but whatever if the real canon thing was good so be it.
another thing, only i find strange that on karate Marco sucks but in a fight against giant monsters he is like a kung fu master?
Thanks. Any ideas for how to take it along that route? So far I just have an idea for a separate fic where Star tries to find some way to make Marco a King on earth so she doesn't get married off to some duke on Mewni that she doesn't know.
I think it would be pretty cool if that guy who drew a comic version Princess Charms did one of mine, it's nice and short.
::Continuation:: Whoops, didn't see this.
I didn't know that. That's something, since I really didn't think much of anyone else aside from me would have liked/would hope for more interaction between Star and Marco and other characters aside from each other (especially since they seem to feel that Star and Marco should be a pairing, even though Star actively encourages Marco to be more forthcoming with Jackie).
The only "issue" I have with Janna getting more focus is that this would likely lead her to indulge in a more "evil" side, and as silly as this may sound, I don't know if I "feel like it", if that makes any sense. On the other hand, Tom getting focus could lead to nice things all around, depending on what they do.
>I'd also love to see more on the development front in terms of the magic and martial arts, good theme for episodes and helps outline progression of the characters in a clear way.
Same here. That's kind of what I was getting at earlier, actually. Thinking on it, I wouldn't mind a sort of martial arts (or whatever) rival for Marco who treats him as a worth opponent and vice-versa (and if they could sneak some development for the little blond twerp, that'd just be gravy).
The way the last season ended makes me feel the Villain side of things will be fine, too. On top of that, there's also a mythology that seems to have opened up, going from the events of said finale.
Having said all that, I can just as equally and honestly say that I'm extremely likely to be happy with whatever we do end up getting. It's just that I'll be even more happy to also see some of the above-mentioned.
That's his name!
>Marco said he'd give her a ride
>Star was expecting something else entirely
>Star buys Marco a pair of magic fabulosity boots, He seems to like them
>What is Star going to do guys?
>Dance the night away
I think it's the natural progression of the show from where it left of. The setups done, and the main relationship in the show is firmly planted and expanded upon already. Really for more development to happen there has to be more options for dialogues and issues that havent been brought between Star and Marco. To do that you need other character involvement, it's why I'm surprised they didn't try to highlight Brittney as the main antagonist to Star on earth. You could argue they've done that for Marco in part with Jeremy, though we'll have to see if they actually pursue that all.
Either way, more characters means more dynamic stories. SU just spent a large number of episodes introducing what was once an antagonist as a new member of the main cast. Things like that need time and focus, but can not only keep with the main style of the show, but make it better/offer other tangents for growth.
Getting back to the Star side of things I think the biggest bonus would be additional members for magical trips. It adds a contrast from the norm, which is Star and Marco doing their thing, without interrupting that balance.
I certainly hope they don't go that route with Janna, as I've said in the past it'd be great in the series had an odd ball human girl to compare to Star. Janna could fit that bill perfectly with her penchant for interests seemingly out of the norm. That and adding in someone Marco doesn't know how to deal with in a non-spaghetti filled manner.
I'm not too sure what they can do on that karate rival front, Jeremy doesn't seem to be an actual contender for Marco with what we've seen outside of Monster Arm, especially considering he was cheating during it. Perhaps that's where Tom will come in?
What is Jackie's favorite meme?
Well, given that we're starved for content as it is, and 99% of content is likely Starco related.. we can't be too picky.
Content for the non-vanilla crowd will come and go, just gotta hold out till then
and learn to like the superior Manna.
Cat stuff it seems, can't go wrong with cute animals I guess.
It's like a good combination of thighs and hips, and hips are one of those things wired in the male head to look out for. That'd be my guess.
>What more could you ask for?
A few Sabco fanfics would be nice.
Yes but they always try to put the spotlight on Starco when others are focusing on something else with their fucking phrase, they always do that when they want the focus to be put on starco
>I think it's the natural progression of the show from where it left off.
Makes sense. The biggest question being if they wish to go about it this way.
>it's why I'm surprised they didn't try to highlight Brittney as the main antagonist to Star on earth
Yeah, they seemed to have her something like that early on, but they never used her past the party bus episode, so who knows.
>You could argue they've done that for Marco in part with Jeremy, though we'll have to see if they actually pursue that all.
I see Jeremy as a foil to the normally shy/insecure and humble Marco, though even his appearance are rather fleeting, and at least random in one particular instance.
>SU just spent a large number of episodes introducing what was once an antagonist as a new member of the main cast.
That was neat, wasn't it? I can say that starting off, I would have never assumed this would be the fate of that show's "Starter Villain", but I am pleasantly surprised that it was. One thing with Steven Universe that I love is its appreciation to its side/secondary characters (even if they haven't shown up much recently and there are a couple I would like to see more of in general [more Peedee, a tad bit less Ronaldo]). The show is not afraid to develop them and ends up the better in the long run for doing so.
Getting back to the Star side of things I think the biggest bonus would be additional members for magical trips.
I agree witht his 100%. That's what made Ferguson and Alphonso's trip to fairy land so exciting; it wasn't just Star and Marco. Similar thing happened with the school field trip episode where we finally learned some of these characters' names.
Regarding Janna, your idea is the best, but we'll need to see for her, too.
One thing they could do would be to have Marco become a kind of mini-mentor to Jeremy, but that would require Jeremy to develop. As mentioned, I see both as being rather similar in some respects, but also different. The Tom idea could work, yes.
Well the main draw of the series so far is the great relationship between Marco and Star. People are going to latch onto that due to the wealth of interactions they have, and conversely not focus too much on the other ships as they're pretty much entirely headcanon at this point.
I think the issue here is just the lack of anything to go off of, outside of the potential cute setup of an overly safe kid and an accident prone girl. Given that said dynamic would inhibit potential develop for Marco it's like writing into a dead end. Still, perhaps one of our talented content creators here can think of something, Amarillo would be the prime candidate there.
Nope, the assumption back when it aired was that he got it from their facebook equivalent.
Even the llama?
Janna is clearly the pepe lover of the cast. She's got SHITPOSTER written all over her face.
Star isn't having any of that shit. She'll vaporize those sluts.
I think they will, Ludo is seemingly out of the picture, as is Buff Frog who were the two most developed characters outside of Star and Marco amusingly enough. With main villains already setup, all that's left is to work on the human relations on earth. Which will be easy given they've setup the base for the potential characters to use, e.g. Brittany and Janna.
>I see Jeremy as a foil to the normally shy/insecure and humble Marco
That's what I liked the most about the use of his character. Marco's development will come through getting him out of his comfort shell, as is the case both in media and in real life with shy characters. Star does it from the more positive front, encouraging measured risk taking and confronting fear with seeking wonderment.
Jeremy on the other hand gets Marco out of that shell in the more negative manner, inciting the more aggressive and forward nature that could do him well in the previously mentioned wonderment seeking. However, naturally it also highlights the potential character flaws of Marco, in a bit of a temper and rigidity in dealing with people out of the norm. I think character flaws are a huge positive feature of this show, as it makes them easy to relate to.
On the SU front, I'm a bit biased as Peridot was an instant favourite given her stand out design, into her amusing antics and eventual redemption. But I'd certainly agree that it was handled rather well, the only complaint I have with it is how many episodes focused on her over the duration of the redemption. Whilst screen time is necessary it could be argued that with the bomb format she was the focus of a large number of episodes all at once. Still, they developed her solidly, giving her time with all the main characters so Star vs. will hopefully do something similar with side characters and Star+Marco.
> the war is over — but it has been an ordeal! The last two weeks had been spent by me slowly getting to the final confrontation, and I feel that if I didn’t record what was the final result, I would do a disservice to posterity!
>From my half-naked raid inside Marco’s room, things seemed to have changed between Marco and me.
>But that became all the more apparent when I returned to school after my sick day.
>Marco’s behavior was WILDLY different: he was playing cool and calm, while I was administering the usual hot compress of Mewnian princesshood.
>He actually started playing along — well, sorta: I could see he was still less than comfortable, but he let me unzip his hoodie, and caress his chest in front of everybody.
>And I don’t know what Marco had told to our classmates, but you could sense that the surrounding atmosphere was now completely different: everybody seemed less scandalized — and even though they were all kinda embarrassed about us, nobody commented, nor did they try to tackle the subject of Marco’s and mine “exuberance”.
>So, I figured out that we had finally got to the last stand: I couldn’t do anything but going all in!
>After school, I “casually” asked Marco if he had anything planned for the night, and he was like:
>“I don’t know: do YOU have anything planned for the night?”
>And I was like: “…I asked you FIRST!” but immediately recovered, and said:
>“Nothing in particular, Marco DEAR. …But I guess we could see each other in MY BEDROOM, and together come up with SOMETHING!”
>Marco didn’t bat an eyelid, and said: “COOL! …After all, we are young and healthy, and we’ll sure find SOME way to enjoy each other’s company! …ALONE. …IN A BEDROOM!”
>“…NAKED!” I said, caught in the moment.
>“…Naked, really?” asked Marco, slipping out of character for only a moment.
>I was kind of winging it all along, so I backpedaled a little, saying:
>“Well, we don’t HAVE to be naked — but hey: my room is hot, and so are we, so MAYBE something like that could happen…”
>“Something like what?” said Marco, while he was trying to sustain my INTENSE stare.
>And I was kinda ready to answer that question: I got really, REALLY close to Marco’s face, and went:
>“Something weird… Or maybe, something WILD!…”
>…And I guess I tried too hard to pull off a deep, sensual voice, because the word “wild” came out sounding like a freaking bellow.
>But I didn’t back down, and neither did Marco: the tension was palpable, and the stakes at their highest!
>When the moment came, Marco walked inside my room with the boldest of gaits — and he locked the door behind him.
>I was waiting for him on the king&queen sized bed.
>“Welcome, my earthling warrior!” I said, and inside my head I was like OMGOMGOMG where the heck is this headed to?!
>But I added:
>“Are you wearing a fanny pack, or are you just happy to see me?”
>Marco was like: “Well, you KNOW, I always wear a fanny pack — but I’m ALSO very happy to see you, …my mewnian princess!”
>We stared at each other like dummies for a while, before Marco went:
>“I think NOW I’ll join you on the bed… and after that, we’ll see where our wild spirits take us!”
>And I was like: “OK”.
>Then Marco walked all the way to my bed, and climbed on it, and laid right beside me.
>…And we were both blushing and sweating like we were at the center of the freaking SUN, and my mouth was dry, and I was like:
>“Hey, Marco, why don’t you make yourself more comfortable, and take off some clothes? …For me?”
>…But inside my head I was WUUUUUUUUUUUUUT AM I SAYING?!
>Marco’s all: “OK, babe” and unzips the hoodie and flings it away.
>So I called his bluff and said:
>“Now, the T-shirt!”
>…And he freaking TOOK IT OFF — for realsies! — and I was laying besides my half-naked bestie, who was sporting the abs and the pects of a freaking marble statue!
>And I went all:
>So it was HIS turn to say:
>“Now, why don’t YOU show some skin, then?”
>And you could see he was as flustered as me — if not more — so I thought to myself: this is FINALLY the moment when I’ll make him cry uncle, and then I’ll win!
>So, I took off my tank top, and was left with only the bra on.
>But Marco didn’t even flinch or anything.
>…But we were simply paralyzed, and my head was kind of exploding, and I said something like:
>“Well, what are you gonna do, NOW?”
>And I almost got a freaking heart attack, when he got closer and closer: and instead of scooting over, I laid on my back, and acted totally aloof, but inside of me I was freaking screaming, and he got above me, and looked at me in the eyes, and I thought: NO WAY he’s going to do it, and in his eyes I read something like: NO WAY I’m backing down NOW, so I should’ve backed down, but I didn’t want to lose, and he didn’t want to lose either, and we were in this kind of a stall situation, and somebody had to do or say SOMETHING, but nobody dared, so I guess Marco though something like: let’s force her to bail out, and he pushed his face closer and closer to mine, and I thought: I see your bluff, and raise, so I pucked my lips, like preparing to kiss him, and we were closer and closer and closer and closer…
>…But then, I had this violent coughing fit, and we separated.
>I was like: “I’m sorry, I’m still under the weather” but Marco looked at me and said:
>“Why are we doing this?” and I caught my breath, and went: “What do you mean?”
>He said: “…This game of chicken! Why the heck are we doing this?! Do you want to prove something, to me?”
>And he was on the nose, and I had enough of all that crap, so I spilled the beans.
>It turned out he didn’t really believed anything he’d said to Ferg and Al, and he just wanted them not to get the wrong idea about us two, and that made totally sense: so, I brought up the nasty joke he told about my poor titties, and he was like:
>“I am sorry Star: you looked kinda worried, then, and I was nervous too — you know: about the whole getting together in bed stuff. So, out of the blue, I came up with a stupid joke to defuse the situation, but after that I realized that sounded cruel, and I’m very, very sorry!”
>And I saw he was sorry for real, and I was sorry too, so we made up and hugged.
>And then I coughed again, cuz I was still sick, ya know? And we got our clothes back on — actually: I put on some HEAVIER clothes.
>And then, we spent the evening watching TV and eating nachos.
>…So, that’s it: now, it’s all over, and everything is back to normal. I guess this was ANOTHER mess that I caused: but in the end, I think Marco and I are now even closer than before.
>So this was not all that bad.
>…PLUS I got to see him bare-chested and up close, and oh my gosh, now I can’t take it off my mind! I am so hot and bothered right now!
>…Well, actually, that may be because of the fever.
> S B
Such an underrated character.
Christ I can ramble like a champ it seems.
I think that was the episode name?is one of those real underated episodes, that and Quest Buy as it does the simple adventure format just right given the tone of the show. If we can get more instances of that or IDFT we're laughing as in IDFT Miss Skullnick went from simple trope teacher to a developed character that you like, which is impressive in my eyes.
I think there's a lot they could do with Janna, that's the thing I'm most looking forward to at least.
I love the idea of the two of them ending up like that, but I think that'd depend on what they do with Tom as his future is up in the air as well.
Daww just the end I was expecting. I could see Star taking a game of chicken as far as this. Loved the in character writing Folly, think you nailed it.
One thing I've gotta ask though, what did Marco tell his class to cool down that situation?
Here's the up to date Spade green story Im doing for anyone interested. Might add another episode today, make 2 eps per week instead of 1.
I'm glad you liked it!
>what did Marco tell his class to cool down that situation?
I think that Marco got some trust credit with most of the class, and also Star's hijinx are kinda accepted as a fact of life by then. So, I guess Marco said something to the extent of:
>"Guys, I know Star is behaving extra-crazy, recently — but please, bear with me: let her do her stuff, and then, I'll deal with Star, and fix the situation, once and for all! Trust me with this, OK?"
Can we officially end this meme that liking something another person likes means you're "associating" with them.
You're doing more to associate with that person by responding to him than you would be if you just watched the show.
Man I can't begin to imagine how weird that whole situation must have seemed to the class, or how awkward it must have been for Marco to explain that shit.
I was fully expecting the 'oh it's a mewberty thing' to be the explanation he went with. Which would have raised questions of its own. Still, I think Star's plan worked out pretty well in the end. They were both open about it all and she's rather firmly marked her stuff in front of the girls. Doubt they'd mess with someone so determined.
It's a shitposter, just don't respond at all and they go away.
you guys think that Ludo could be another ice king?
some big deal reveal about is past, maybe something that made him mad and lose his memory, and the real reason is want the wand is some deep think like ice king obssession for princess and the old girlfriend?
LOL! Well, that's one interpretation, I guess! I think Star never realy thought anything far ahead: she payed no thought about long-term consequences of her openly flirting with Marco, nor she did bother trying to look at the situation from a bystander's point of view.
She was all like: war is war, and I GOTTA WIN!
Probably, if she didn't have a diary, she would've probably forgotten why the whole thing started in the first place!
I'm happy you liked the last chapter: yes, I'm a sucker for clarifying moments, when friends finally set down their problems with each other talking sincerely, and opening their hearts (not literally).
>who were the two most developed characters outside of Star and Marco amusingly enough
This is so true... Honorable mention goes to that poor Troll teacher of theirs, Ms. Skullnick.
Looking at it that way Star and Jeremy could also function as foils to each other with how they interact with Marco. Now, whether they'd do more with Jeremy beyond that like they'll obviously do with Star is another question.
Regarding Peridot, I guess you argue they spent a lot of time, which becomes super noticeable if you aren't partial to her character, but I'd still say that the show doing so was to its and her benefit. The "Bomb" marathon format just means you don't necessarily have to do this week after week (it just means cap hiatuses, instead :p).
But yeah. Here's hoping this show will follow suit in that general regard.
>Christ I can ramble like a champ it seems.
Sorry, didn't mean to put you on the spot or anything.
I agree that Pixtopia is definitely under-appreciated
except for the wrong reasons, in my opinion. The charger shopping episode was also a good one, and also, as I mentioned, was the inter-dimensional field trip one. Party Bus episode was also pretty cool, too, even if the outer Star/Marco interactions were limited outside of Star and Britteny.
>I think there's a lot they could do with Janna, that's the thing I'm most looking forward to at least.
I'd be willing to give it a shot.
>I love the idea of the two of them ending up like that, but I think that'd depend on what they do with Tom as his future is up in the air as well.
Very true. Since Tom's only been in a single episode, that didn't quite end in his favorable light, in order for him to get into a respectable position with Marco, we'd need him to get into an unambiguously respectable position in general. That, in turn, requires more development for him in general, which obviously requires more appearances.
they think about boning cute girls of course
Wow this thread really exploded in a good way
>More of FC's Star diary series(Gotta catch up)
>insightful show and character discussion
>Other cool content I still need time to process and/or absorb
so many awesome requests and suggestions I should get on asap
(sorry if I missed any)
That's right. Lady will always be his number 1.
My fantasy consists in kidnapping the princess of asturias, make her wear star's clothing and brainwash to be like her.
I wonder if its possible,Spanish crown heirs are trained militarily since a young age so the brainwashing may be difficult.
No worries about anything like that, I welcome the discussion with someone relatively new to the show. It's been so long since season 1 ended that really most things have been discussed, but to what depth is questionable.
I think the big question with both Tom and Jeremy making more appearances is how much are people willing to put with with characters that are rather antagonistic. Given the shows fell-good vibe, having characters like that can turn people off pretty quickly. This can be seen with Princess Ponyhead early on in the series, some people just flat out couldn't stand her.
Yeah I had that feeling during the bomb that just finished that, damn if I didn't like Peridot I'd be pretty damn pissed given the hiatus reemerging. Still, the next lot of episodes look really good given the what the spoilers have shown will have to happen.
What would your reason for it being under appreciated be then? Outside of the obvious waifu-bait of the pixie queen. I agree with the other two being real gems, but Party Bus always sat poorly with me. Marco really got the short end of the stick there, doubly with the whole motion sickness thing. Could have been a strong introduction episode for Star and the human characters, but they were relegated to the background throughout. At least it's given Brittney further reason to dislike Star.
On the Tom front, add in the fact that he wouldn't really work as a Ludo-esque weekly threat and have previously more established serious villains; I can't see him playing an antagonist role. If anything he'll likely pop up 2-3 times during the season as plot point or perhaps adventure partner. I can't see him having much interest in earth, so my head is saying he'll have that previously described role.
That all being said, he does have two very relate able problems, so there's a lot to work with in terms of a mini-redemption. Will be interesting to see how the two of them react to him after an episode or two.
That's quite the fantasy you got there anon. I'd advise you against making it a reality for obvious reasons.
Yeah the security must be tight as hell around her because muslims.
I want to shake Star's pom-poms
Her family sent them back to hell.
So she is really against the forces of evil and is a princess and is the princess who could pass as her more easily in Europe.See? its meant to be.
We need a SvtFoE medieval crossover/AU.
Star vs the Forces of Islam: A misguided Francian princess is sent to live in the Kingdom of Asturias to learn how to be a proper princess, and ends up befriending Marco Diaz d'Rafael. They go on adventures, fighting mujahids and moors as she learns the ways of the strange Visigoths.
I saw this in the previous thread but wanted to wait til the next one to comment.
Nicely written, succinct and suspenseful. I'm not sure where you can go from there though. I kind of like the mystery over what's happening in Star's dreams exactly, aside
from Marco dying in them..
I think it's strong enough as a stand alone, like this is a consequence of the events from STC. (Unless it's meant to take place before it?) But I can also kinda see it escalating into something larger, like the dreams are prophetic or something.
And lets not forget the best ship
You could still try writing for the 5 Marco's. Here is what we have so far.
Why is there so little Sabco art? It makes me slightly upset
Starco is still cute and perfect
I unironically wish we could've had a few more episodes with Toffee not-secretly hating working for Ludo and co. but sticking it out, while Ludo sucks up to him and Buff Frog looks suspicious
But of course that'd ruin his cred as the show's "serious" villain
Ludo's this weird mix of incompetent idiot and semi-competent neerdowell all at the same time. I wouldn't be surprised if we saw him again, but in what form will be interesting as he could be both friend or foe at this point.
I still just want to know why Toffee just didn't flat out want the wand, considering it apparently takes on the form of the one wielding it. He's got to have some kind of end game in mind for the cleaved wand.
Here it is, the completed version of AU Madness.
Hopefully I haven't made a mistake while copying it into my pastebin, but I'll just go over it a few times more.
For those of you who haven't read it yet, please enjoy.
Sorry for raping your character's design, Drawsister.
>I'm a sucker for clarifying moments
Who isn't, FC? No one likes avoidable romance flick-tier drama. That's why I liked BMB ending. Star and Marco had issues, they talked them out. Easy peasy. And awesome greentexts, as usual.
Mewni should be completely destroyed, every Mewman murdered and Star's parents killed in front of her. Then, overlord from Starcraft should try to rape Star and fail but not before taking off her clothes and immobilizing her, making her think she's gonna go through long and painful death. She should eventually be resecued but also develop many psychological complexes, one of them being extremely avoiding of other peopels' touch, especially Marco's. I imagine her dropping on her knees, curling up and crying out loud every time he tries to hug her for comfort, as this would remind her of the overlord tentacles wrapping around her chest, waist and limbs.
That's good. Technically, I've been watching the show since the first episode "leaked" online, or whatever, I just never really came here. And, seeing this thread, assumed/got my hopes up that the second season was pretty close on the horizon.
>I think the big question with both Tom and Jeremy making more appearances is how much are people willing to put with with characters that are rather antagonistic
True. I definitely got this vibe with Princess Ponyhead when the writer's wisely avoided using her too much, to the degree where she only appeared twice in the first season (granted, hers was the second episode, and she also got a 30 minute "special" to her name, too). Really, like Ponyhead, it depends on whether they intend to develop them for the better in the long run, because if so, then it would be worth it, in my opinion.
Regarding Steven Universe,
does that mean they are going on another break after this past week? Also, what spoilers are you referring to?
>What would your reason for it being under appreciated be then?
Perhaps not under-appreciated per se, but it goes into the "including non-Marco/Star characters in Marco and Stars shenanigans" thing that I didn't really believe most would be/were interested in. The impersion that I got, and rather still get for the most part, is that Star and Marco and only them together are all that is taken away from the show/appreciated. So, it ended up feeling like the episode shaking the formula up wasn't really acknowledged.
The somewhat "snap-back"ie feel about Alphonso showing up like nothing happened a few episodes later, slightly implying that the show doesn't really appreciate it either may also not be helping for me, even though it I am aware that it was intended as a sight gag.
Not only did I enjoy Party Bus for what it was, I appreciated the cursory glance at some of the other kids, even if it was just cursory. ::continued below::
Oh my God, my fucking sides this is glorious.
I wasn't expecting this. Thank you based anon
>>78871266 ::continued from above::
We learn that that kid, whose name that I don't recall was first mentioned during the field trip episode, is actually an extroverted, happy and excitable guy if and when pressed (before that, he seemed to be rather unresponsive as a whole).
Little things like that.
Marco (inadvertently or otherwise) showing Tom around and getting him to "fall for" Earth as Star has would be a neat way to go about it, actually.
I've sort of been thinking maybe those few season 2 titles actually are real and daron saying they're fake is just to put an end to early speculation because even she doesn't know when 2 will air, so doesn't want fans to guess too much too early
but that's probably wishful thinking because "cleaved" could've been fucking great lore-wise
Just a reminder that Chantelle wants the Diaz
But does he want the Chantelle booty?
>Jackie's thighs Hnnnnnngggg
Oh really? That's cool, shame you weren't for the talk back threads, they were always worth a laugh as our prior predictions almost always got shattered.
I agree on the Ponyhead thing, though I didn't actually mind her too much in the St. O's episode. It was just having her and Star early on was a double dose of brattyness that didn't leave a good taste. Given that Star had progressed much from then into St. O's it made her character seem much more acceptable. If they've looked at the positive feedback for characters like Janna and Tom, no doubt they've seen the negative side with Ponyhead and Jeremy. No great loss at least.
Yeah, with the bomb format they have to go on extended hiatuses as a result of using the stores of completed episodes up. Though they do apparently have most of the announced ones done already, it's just a scheduling thing so they can make the most out of SU in the bomb format, then air TTG as much as possible as it's the most popular channel filler.
The spoiler in mention
namely a picture and add on CN of Peridot giving a gift to Lapis at the barnwhich understandably was a fuck up as it reveals a big part of the upcoming episodes.
Oh I see, yea a lot of anons during the talk back threads were slightly annoyed at there being no continuity there. But given the shows nature your bound to get some easy gags like that. I suppose what you said about Star and Marco's hijinks being the focus is true, certainly that's what I told people to focus on to see if they'd like the show. But with season 1 acting as a solid setup for that relationship, I think people will be more open to a wider cast of characters now. Alf and Ferg's biggest issue is really that they aren't cute girls, if it'd have been Janna and Jackie people would have loved the episode.
I could certainly see cleaved being the first episode, easy summary and transition from the end of season 1 right there.
I liked Star's part in Party Bus, Marco however.. he got rather shafted in that one. Not his finest moment, but hey he's getting there. I do hope he gets a chance to shine in front of the class, that was my big hope for IGFT
instead he spent it sending cat memes to his crush, fuck that one hurt in the live stream.
Do you mean the little glasses dude who jumps into the hole? Not sure who you mean exactly.
>Marco (inadvertently or otherwise) showing Tom around and getting him to "fall for" Earth
That was the first idea that come to mind, but I can't see what Tom would gain from earth, I suppose it all depends on his intentions when he comes back. Hopefully he's over Star, though a lovesick demon puppy could be fun. We'll have to see which suits the show better, I'm sure the fan art will come rolling in regardless.
>no continuity there
Not that anon, but that bit didn't even bother me because Star had the scissors right there; that's even how they escaped. It's pretty easy to assume they just went back and got him immediately after the end of the episode, especially since I think in St. O's there's a comment about how using the scissors to get to a specific place is "usually pretty accurate." It just didn't seem like something even worth showing to me.
But what different viewers see as "continuity" varies a lot for this show. I think the continuity has been pretty good because so far there are only 2 or 3 episodes that are entirely self-contained (in that they add nothing new to the show or continue anything, and nothing from them is shown again), but others see it as weak just because it doesn't constantly go HEY REMEMBER WHEN.
Yea perhaps it was more of a vocal minority type thing. It never struck me too hard, but some people can get a bit touchy about that stuff. It's not as applicable to Star vs. in comparison to Gravity Falls lets say, as continuity is rather important to a show centered around a mystery. Even then, it was usually only little things like Dipper's scar not being shown in a flash back that people raved about. It's easy to focus on what didn't match up than all the things that did.
Getting back to Star, one of the big things that solidified my positive feelings for the show was Miss Skullnick stayed a troll and even got some background and character development in IDFT. I was expecting the next time we saw her to just be a human again, but they stuck with it and made her an interesting character on top of it.
Yeah, Miss Skullnick turned out better than I'd thought. I wasn't surprised to see her as a troll again because the laser puppies stayed in the Diaz home after I'd expected them to be just a random gag, but I didn't expect she'd get any character development at all.
Underrated qt for sure, pray for a cheerleaders episode anon.
Oh yea the lazer puppies too. Scary thought that Star can just bring things to life at the drop of a hat like that. Really the show has done a great job continuity wise, especially with character development. That's a huge boon for season 2 for me, more episodes to explore how much Marco and Star have developed and how they can continue to develop.
The best test in the regard will be how Marco acts around Jackie, considering he sat next to her at the end of IDFT and seemed more chilled out in the Bad Hair Day episode.
THANK YOU! it means a lot anon!
>I guess Janna was just mad haha.
>“Something weird… Or maybe, something WILD!…”
So awesome! glad to see it complteded this weekend, thanks a lot FC, it was a goodtime reading it.
I NEEDED THIS IN MY LIFE ALL ALONG AND I DIDNT EVEN KNEW IT!
Also I wanted to say this thread turned out great, got to return to find a lot of ACTUAL DISCUSSION and contributions by our talented anons!
Also it trully was the "Weekend of Sabco", the amount of fan art freaking DOUBLED! I want to thank everyone that made that possible and the people that liked the idea of a Sabco weekend to begin with.
I love you all.
Not in a creepy way! well with some exceptions.
I was a big fan of both the Ludo and Gossiping story when they were first posted. So it's good to see them in an archived space.
The au madness story rounded itself quite well with how plot points and characters were introduced and resolved. I loved all of the Marco's, Original Marco was perfect for the role of the kind big brother whose patience is constantly tested. It actually felt pretty sweet and heartwarming that all of the 'younger' Marco's treated him as such: asking for money, permission or favors. Half of them could probably kick and/or murder his ass, ie; they could easily bully him to get their way, yet they don't.(Their own latent kindness? they're all Marcos too)
"Mark" was such an entertaining asshole, which left him believably open to being unpopular with his 'family'. The way his sister got revenge for a past event was a nice subtle hint to his 'misunderstood' side. I was genuinely feeling a little tense on who was gonna deck him for his BS.(Doubly funny when his comeuppance finally came in the form of a sibling he never teased and/or bothered.) It's kind of odd/amusing that my favorite depictions of BB Marco in written form have all been from /sveg/.
Sol was perfect in his rigidity and deep devotion to his Lady/Star.
(Him praising Lady's purity, and greatness while she was being anything but was one of many comedic highlights.)You did great in depicting how I imagined he would interact with his 'siblings'. Being especially at odds with the renegade BBM, but abrasive in his own stern way.
Monco and Marcia had brief roles but were still distinctive. Marcia was interesting in that she seemed a lot more outgoing and assertive than regular Marco, without the delinquency of her 'blue brother'. While Monco kind of reminded me of Animal from the muppets with his feral behavior.
(I loved how he came back in the ending)
Blarco was great too with his deadpan lines.
I just want the hiatus to be over, guys.
Man, what a beautiful week-end. Many anons contributing funny greens and awesome pictures, shitposting was very low, there was no "edgy" stuff around, and people discussing about the show, like the days when the hiatus just began.
TOO BAD I was out of town and right now I've reached 36 hours deprived of sleep and counting.
Oh, well. My only regret is that I didn't have anything to contribute, but all of you guys did amazing jobs. Keep up the good work, and let's meet next week. For the glory of /sveg/!
Bravo, good sir. You've captured the originilaty of the characterness at its finest.
I'm glad that you enjoy Blar & Blarco's original adventures. I hope that what is coming in the future will be on par to your expectations.
Btw, you might remember two weeks ago I was afraid I could become "the Tom". Well, I faced "my demons" and it turned out I'm more like Adam Sandler in Big Daddy, which is awesome.
Thank you, I'm glad you liked it. Writing AU Madness was really fun because I got to explore different character personalities and have them interact. Though I have to say that it was also the most challenging, especially when I write in the greentext format. Along with coming up with what felt like the right personality to give each character.
I wanted to give everyone a role but due to time I had to cut a few of the planned parts for some, such as Marcia and Monco.
I planned for Marcia to be the more straight man with attitude of the group along with Marco, the difference being she's more as you described her and open than Marco and more prone to fits of anger when pushed to the edge, making her unsuitable to being a calm voice because she's more likely to deck Mark in the face then reason with him. A classic sister surrounded by brothers If you will.
Monco is more sorta as the uncontrollable pet and burden to the rest of his siblings. His monstrous behavior causes a lot of problems for everyone, of course, so everyone has to deal with his shannagins every once in awhile.
I liked writing this and I might wright another, though I'll probably have to limit the number of characters I use. All and all though, this was fun and I'm just glad I could add to the whole AU fun we've been having.
Thank you Don and you don't have to worry about expectations from me. I've enjoyed everything you contributed so far.
I just hope I got Blarco's character correctly in my latest story. I have to say that writing him was fun. Especially when I posted his lines in green to match his latest depicted color.
I'm glad you got everything settled as well, that's good to know.
>mfw im mexican and im getting my english certificate next month
I already have relatives living in burgerland so now it's just a matter of time until i can move there to get a cute blonde hyperactive gf
>it's just a matter of time until i can move there to get a cute blonde hyperactive gf
Sorry pal, they're in short supply even for the burger natives.
Here is my edit of that image. I replaced the smile for this one. Hope you enjoy it because I'm tired now.
The reduction in shit posting has been helped by anons not replying to obvious bait. It's been nice seeing random shitty posts scattered about with no replies. If we can keep that up for the likely influx of people in season 2 we're laughing.
Have a go at the actual cast, you seem to have the tone of it all down, and it'll allow you to experiment with fewer characters, but more multi-dimensional ones
heh, unintentional I swear
It's the sweet sweet smell of desperation, my friend.
Hopefully we get some kind of cheerleader episode in season 2 so we actually have some material to work with. Seems like a natural episode to have at some point given Star's boundless energy.
Gee, now I'll never get to sleep wondering about poor bruised Shammie, hopeless Vanessa, bitchy Lamiz, hot parentals Claudia and Roy Diaz, gypsy idol Lynn Janna and Flying Zentradi Exsedol Head.
Hey there never too much creative content, especially not when it's related to the drawfriends AU's. We've had a steady stream of great work related to them, even some touching ones with the elderly AU.
>tfw nothing came of the idea for a fem Toffee dominating marco
May not be worst girl in Star, but all of us who like Janna are going to have to accept the fact that Starco is pretty much endgame
unless we channel our energy into the bittersweet Star goes back to Mewnie ending!
Oh wow really, that's cool. Well mood is a fleeting thing, if something jumps out to you, embrace it. If not, that's fine too; we'll still be here till season 2 rears its long overdue head.
Nah, im sure there must be plenty of them, they just dont like burger natives an like hispanic guys more
Just in the same way mexican girls, don't like mexican guys but go crazy when they see a blonde guy from burgerland
If you're an attractive Mexican, then sure, burger girls will go for you. Just like how burger girls will go for attractive burger guys.
Just keep at it, the thing about characterization is that you have to picture and imagine the different ways a certain individual would react and act in a situation. At least that's how I see it. But like I said, keep at it and you'll get better.
Star being worst girl. Never!
I didn't mean to imply star was worst girl. I was just thinking back to my Robotech Fanboy days.
Hey let's play a game call "I remember"
>I remember when Princess Charms was only three chapters.
>I remember when Diaz Plan for Grandbabbies was a smut fic with no huge ass plot
>I remember when seeing a poster for a new episode would cause I whole bunch of weeklong theories
What do you remember /sveg/?
I remember the talk back threads after a good episode aired, that turned out nothing like what we spent all week predicting.
Shit man, why the fuck does the hiatus have to be so damn long..
I didn't really auto-hate Ponyhead, as was the trend, but I could see clear as day on how she could have easily overstayed her welcome, which is why I feel it was purposefully chosen not to overshowcase her (taking production cycles into consideration, there wouldn't be another reason; sure they could take feedback into consideration for the following Season(s), but the current one was largely set in stone even when the second episode came out).
Ah, so it spoiled Lapis possibly getting her due on the show and maybe becoming a regular character? Well, that's definitely a big one. :D
>Alf and Ferg's biggest issue is really that they aren't cute girls, if it'd have been Janna and Jackie people would have loved the episode.
That's, sadly, probably true, but it's exceedingly unfair. Ah well. No big deal, really.
Star and Marco's shenanigans are a fun part of the show, though, and so seeing if its to ones taste is kinda crucial to enjoy it, as other aspects of the show would near never mean as much if their antics ended up rubbing them the wrong way.
By the by, what are these fake episode titles/summaries?
Well yeah, Marco was largely there for comic relief reasons. I can see why that's be a snag, but I was fine, since it's not a consistent occurrence (and it was a little funny, especially having a stool with wheels on a moving bus).
Him shining in front of his class would be nice, so long as the response comes off more than a "cool Monster Arm" fashion, i.e., I'd hope to better know the praisers doing the praising to make it feel more heartfelt
(No, I am still talking about the one blond-haired boy in Marco's class that's kinda top heavy and wears a shortsleeved red shirt. His name was only given in-show once, during the field trip episode.)
Seeing what about Earth that would intrigue Tom would be part of the fun. But, I'm getting ahead of things.
Because Star vs isn't shit melodramatic gay space rocks that try so hard to be anime.
>I remember when shipping was at its height.
>I remember when everyone was just beginning to fall in love with Janna's character.
>I remember #LetMarcoScore
>I remember the Marcobowl that was held for Interdiminsional Field Trip and the Super Bowl style greentexts and themes.
Different anons stated their dislike for different reasons, the most common two seemed to be her voice and her general bitchy attitude. Both pretty legitimate reasons to dislike a character. Perhaps the team picked up on that after setting out that first episode, it's hard to say as cartoon production cycles seem rather complex.
Well, what it showed is that from where the recent bomb ended a series of events will somehow have Lapis de-fusing from Malachite and ending up at the barn. Given her popularity there was some inevitability in her becoming a recurring character at the least. Still her a Peridot being on the main cast is all good by me, both are cute and have stellar designs.
Yeah, I think we'll see more of them. Though perhaps less than we'd expect if the choose to focus on the girl characters. I wouldn't be surprised if they did that, Alf's voice is a bit of a turn off.
Really I think you have to enjoy their friendship to enjoy the show as it's the main focus, hence my initial dislike of the show as Marco seemed to be getting the short end of the stick early on. I gave it another shot and was pleasantly surprised how well the two eventually get on.
>By the by, what are these fake episode titles/summaries?
Ah damn, I wish I had them on hand but I didn't save them. The two I can remember were Cleaved, as the apparent first episode of season 2 and Sink or Skate, which drew a lot of focus.
Yeah, I think he's relegated to that role sometimes, it just stuck out to me in the episode for how nasty it all was, guy just couldn't catch a break outside of the ending.
Season 2 will be the time for him to shine I hope, it strikes me as odd how little interaction there is with the class, considering Star's a damn magical princess.
Ah yes, Justin I think his name is. I'd love it if they avoided the jock = douche trope that is so common, he seemed nice enough. And I suppose it's another 'we'll wait and see' things with Tom as a whole.
Post yfw #LetMarcoScore was successful
These are all GOLD holy shoot. I feel you captured Star's voice perfectly, there's so many highlights it's hard to choose a favorite. I loved how things escalated and all the varied ways they got defused, the bit with the tummy raspberries had me floored. The "she's mad haha" got a nice chuckle out of me.(The over-analyzing part of my mind was me imagining Janna scolding/yelling at Star for 'using' Marco.) Because Star was kind of a jerk in this story, but a hilarious, entertaining jerk.
My god it's coming back, those threads had so much energy in them, IDFT was the highlight of pre and post threads for sure.
Seeing Janna AND Jackie on the promo sent the thread into overdrive.
Shame they never got th amount of screen time we all predicted, though Miss Skullnick did make good use of it
and Marco wasted it sending memes like some kinda faggot.Still, him nutting up at the end sent a collective tear down our eyes.
Awh ye das it mayne.
I remember everyone freaking out about the end of the banagic incident
I remember when Diaz Plan was talked about in these threads as much as the actual show was
I remember when Starco went into MAXIMUM OVERDRIVE after BMB
>Was starting to lose faith in Starco
Same reason Diminutive Equines of Mine got banned... /sug/ doesn't know how to fucking behave itself.
All the good, responsible generals spend hiatuses having civilized discussions and making OC... /sug/ spends hiatuses storming into other threads to remind everyone that they exist and that everyone should pay attention to them.
tl;dr - /sveg/ is a well-behaved general, /sug/ is full of fags
>Perhaps the team picked up on that after setting out that first episode, it's hard to say as cartoon production cycles seem rather complex.
Like I said, she made this way with the express foreknowledge that she wouldn't be used for a long time after her first appearance.
If anything, and keeping the above in mind, the mixed to negative reactions towards her was the point.
What I mean is, the general audience reaction was very likely the expected and intended one by the writers (even if I personally didn't auto hate her; I actually found her funny, and her doing the right thing in the end coupled with her lack of appearances afterwords helped that).
Somewhat conspiratorial, but any chance that was leaked on purpose?
I'd hope for more gender-equal focus, like they've largely been doing, but I'd take whatever.
I never really saw Marco getting shortchanged, outside of being part of the running gag/slapstick (which Star wasn't immune to). I'm glad things worked for you, as it would have been a shame to miss a show like this.
> I wish I had them on hand but I didn't save them.
:( Oh well. Don't suppose you can recall in summaries for them, if they existed?
"Can't catch a break" days do sometimes happen.
>it strikes me as odd how little interaction there is with the class, considering Star's a damn magical princess.
It certainly made any interaction we did get seem like striking gold, though, But yes, more of that would be nice.
>Ah yes, Justin I think his name is
Yeah, I think it was Justin. He's on the football team, too, now that you mention it.
And no, wasn't/hasn't been portrayed as a Jerk Jock, rather a Lovable Jock instead, from what we can see of his personality. And about just as spacey as everyone else on the cast has been at one time or another. He's a character I would like to see get more focus one of the days.
I remember when Spongebob jokes crossed with /sveg/
I remember this
Someone really needs to update this
I can't say what will be legit plot between these events but
>marco will get jackie, then break jackie's board
>janna will get marco and they will adventure
>star will get jelly and oskar base will belong to star
> oskar will be
shitty on their double adventure date gone wrong
>janna will realise marco will always love star
>full moonlight kiss
STARCO FOR ALL
But Lisa Butterfly won the heart of Marco Hunter and poor idol girl Janna got blowed up real good! Makes for a great ending with love and pathos together, just the way I like it.
But what do I care about that anyways? I always liked the Cheer Bunnies best - brainy but hopeless Hope, cute but clumsy Sabrina, and mysteriously flat-bootied Chantelle.
As well as whether or not Star was the antagonist, fun times that one.
Fuck, it just works with everything, like a cartoon Guiles theme.
Yes I can't imagine they would go in with that intention, I suppose it's just a case of not being everyone's cup of tea as such. I personally didn't mind her, but appreciated that she wasn't going to be a regular. Given the magical nature of the series, it's easy to have the occasional solid 1-2 off episode character. More regular characters are a bit trickier, and will likely have to be Earth residents as off planet characters need a reason to constantly visit, such as Ludo.
Oh man, it's a shame you weren't in the threads. Given that it happened during the height of the bomb, a couple of these pictures popped up with anons swearing that they're genuine. Naturally the thread went nuts with people reacting with joy, disbelief and demanding more conclusive proof. In response anons who'd seen it supported the leaked imagines genuiness and eventually a youtube video surfaced of it, the 2 following threads were pretty hyped. We can't know for sure why ot was released like that, the most accepted response was it was a simple fuck up of the CN employee in charge of creating the trailers. But given the importance of the character it seems odd the SU team didn't outline what they could/couldn't use.
Either way it's given the thread something to look forward to, which is always nice.
It's all coming back to me. Man, I was a filthy shipper before I relised what shipping even was.
Also, should I post the rest of the AU Madness story here so that this screen cap can be completed?
Cont from >>78881106
Well, weirdly the trend in recent times has shown men aren't too put off with more female characters being prominent. Given the focus of the show a bit more on Star, I'd say we're likely to see more earth girls than boys. But that's pure speculation on my part.
I feel like he gets shortchanged a lot as it's the easy joke to make, but nothing too major, and he's got such a huge boon in Star's friendship that you can't ever feel to bad for him. That or it's an issue of his own making, which Star definitely suffers from and rightly so for the shows sake. I'm glad I gave it another chance too.
There weren't any summaries, just titles, 5 in all as there was Cleaved as the first episode and 2 lots of 2. Again hopefully some other anon remembers what they were, they genuinely sounded interesting, if quite heavy for early season 2.
Well IDFT was the highlight of that, more episodes like that
minus the memesand the show would be golden.
Loveable jocks are a rare breed, a welcome one too. I was lucky enough to get on with what could be considered the jocks when I was at school, so I can't really connect with the typical negative interpretation of them. I could foresee interaction like that in a Brittany antagonist themed episode, given that Star is such a social enigma and Marco doesn't seem to care there's a clear setup for the class as a whole to get involved.
Might color this when I get the chance. For now, I hope ya like it.
Timbox would post poor and low quality pictures he drew of Star vs. characters and a comic of his with various cartoon characters in it. He would post these pictures in almost every thread and it was always the same thing. Luckily the mods would delete his stuff, but he always came back. Luckily he hasn't shown up in a long time.
It is supposed to be a Sabrina/Sabco weekend. Though since Mope and Sabco are similar, I'm sure you could a few posts in about it if you tried asking. Hell maybe even a greentext.
>AU Star Sisters now
Damn, now I want/have to write a AU Madness 2 Electric Bagaloo with the Star Sisters.
Nice art by the way.
Well, it's pleasant news all around. Having said, I am missing the Beach City townsfolk. Look forward to see them again.
Whether we'd see more Earth Gal or Guys likely depends on how "useful" they'd be to the stories they'd want to tell.
How often a Loveable Jock is used in place of a Jerk Jock is an interesting question. Both kinds exist in real life, but the latter tends to be used more often them former, and less often than both together. That's not even getting into more deeper characterizations, either.
But Justin definitely seems like a happy guy when you get know him type.
Poor Marco was kinda oblivious, wasn't he?
Anyway, I'm getting sleepy, so I think I'll head out. Nice talking with you (two?)! :) I echo the sentiments that this was nice thread here, especially compared to how it can get.
Here's to hoping they choose to throw us some official breadcrumbs sooner rather than later.
>It is supposed to be a Sabrina/Sabco weekend.
Yea guess it was. Guess all of Amarillo's endless Sabrina request spamming finally paid off...sorta.
Well maybe next week Hope will finally have her day in the sun. But in a nice way not because she ran outside to not watch her dad beat up her mom because she didn't do the dishes.
So I promised I would do this and here it is.
This is Astra Parallax from Folly-Cola's fanfic "Dueling Stars"
I wasnt happy with a previous drawing I did of her so I tried again... and it still looks like shit!
YES! The Star sisters!
Thanks for always doing these, I love them so much.
I won't look it up but I'll accept that it's bad.
Tell you what WriteFriend, since you once made one of my greentext requests back in my nameless days. I'll return the favor. Give me a scenario and I'll see what I can cook up. I have to say that It'll be short and that I haven't yet tried writing Mope, but I'll give it my best.
Guy who draws those black and white stuff here
I made this for you guys with my tablet
yes, I suck at digital art, I've always been more of a traditional artist anyway
Think you mean a Jarco weekend, bit somehow Sabco and the multiple Marcos AU took the spot light. Ah well, been a good couple of threads, especially for discussion.
As much as I like Peridot, I'll wlecome back the more even spread of episodes to characters, even the humans.
Well that's my thinking in regards to more earth girls over boys. Given the series is mainly focused on Star and her adventures as an interdimensional exchange student, Marco being a guy and all can't show Star all that earth has to offer. As such, some female friends would fill that gap for Star, and allow more relationships with Marco to form as well. Hence my hope for a earth parallel in Janna as another person to go on adventures with, the typical tomboy/male friendship.
Yup, he could also be of actual use in a class adventure type situation, given that every other male in Marco's class seems ill equip for adventure.
Christ, I've said it before but during the livestream and talk back threads we just couldn't deal with him for most of that episode, topping off the shit cake with his fumbled rescue where Jackie genuinely looked happy to see him! If it hadn't have been for the finale scene we likely would have never gotten over it all.
I'm heading off as well, it was just the one in me, but it's been so long that anyone discussed the series at length like this that I wanted to stick around as long as possible, so my thanks for that anon.
Put your faith in the Gravity Falls finale offering something Star related, that'd make the most sense from a marketing perspective. Still, we soldier on till then.
>Guess all of Amarillo's endless Sabrina request spamming finally paid off...sorta.
I am as weirded and confussed at how it turned out than you can possibly imagine.
Two first posts and dubs, things that I tried and hilariously failed to get for months, all happened thios weekend. its creepy, the stars aligned for Sabco this weekend or something.
I am all for the weekend of Hope/Mope tho! it deserves it more than Sabco.
I did? Which one? (sorry, Ive done so many requests in the year that I've been here...well almost a year)
And thanks, I'll take anything at this point. No specific scenario just write something happy Hope related. All of her stories so far are just sad.
Yup, with the poor luck of being positioned beside Mewberty Star.
I liked the first Astra, but this definitely feels like an improvement. Posing feels a lot more lively, and the body feels more real? If that makes any sense? Like it matches her age? I dunno, maybe ignore that last part.
I kind of wonder how she is now--but that's probably just me being a little too invested in fanmade-universes.
Looks good Ama, her face is much improved, which was the only real issue with the last one.
A tip on the Hope front that can help characterise her is having her act as the more responsible friend that reigns Janna in. Seen some good works with that theme of selflessness
sometimes too much selflessnessbeing a big part of Hope.
I don't even know how much of a taboo that can be considered, yikes.
It was a long time ago when I was still an Anon and you actually did multiple requests that I asked. But I honestly can't remember what they were. Sad, but I'll see what I can do for a quick Mope Story. Just give me a sec.
Thank you for the tip. Also if I remember correctly, some of us assumed that Hope liked cosmetic products, what with wearing lipstick. (Just the kind of things we'd assume from a lack of and need for characterization.)
I really like your artstyle!
Just give it some time to get used to digital art, the more you draw the more natural it will feel.
Good to see you too, HB.
I sometimes struggle with how much I want to emulate the original artstyle or just draw in my own, this time I just went in wanting to draw a normal 14 year old that looks like Star and that was the result.
I still dont know if people would preffer trying to get closer to the show's artstyle, which I really adore but I just suck at emulating it.
It's more fun when I try to push Sabco and fail horribly at it, this weekend was the total oposite and it's not as funny.
But I love the everloving heck out of everyone that posted Sabco love this weekend.
Thanks! I am not really an artist tho so the compliment is appreciated, but I think both drawings still have a mountain of issues.
It just feels so different, so much more smoother and harder to control. I'll get the hang of it some day. For now, I'll stick mostly to doing what I seem to do best.
Drawing really ink heavy shit with lots of dark.
Now I'll return the favor.
>With a trembling hand, Hope holds up a small cotton swab with a pair of tweezers and, oh so carefully, brings it close to the tiny cut on Marco's cheek.
>"I am holding still. It's just that this stuff really 'OW'... stings.
>Hope leans away from Marco quickly, bringing her hands over her mouth as she gasped sharply.
>"Omagosh! I didn't hurt you too much, did I?"
>"No no, it was just the ointment on the swab Hope. Your doing perfectly fine.
>Hope exaggeratedly breaths a sigh of relief and smiles at Marco's reassurance.
>"Honestly I'm surprised at how skilled you are at this. Not many people our age can bandage someone up as well as you."
>"I-its nothing really." Hope slightly blushes at Marco compliment.
>"I'm just used to applying bandages." At this, Hope rubs a patch over her right knee for emphasis.
>"Yea...I've been meaning to ask how you got those."
>Marco points at the various bruises on Hopes legs. Many were quite large and very dark.
>"I-I j-just fell! Over some steps in m-my apartment." Hope quickly pulls her skirt over her legs to cover the blemishes.
>"I... I'm just clumsy... sometimes... mostly."
>Hope grew quiet and Marco decided not to pry while mentally kicking himself for ruining the mood.
Bonus chapter of the spade green
>Marco went through all the pictures being posted on his FB feed
>It was some sort of party, Alphonso is there taking pics as well as many other kids from school from what Marco can tell
>Spade was being carried on the shoulders of one of the football players
>WTF is going on? is all Marco could think.
> In another picture there appears to be a band playing in the background, Marco squint his eyes to get a better look
>"Is, is that Imagine Dragons?!, wha? h-how, I don't..." Marco stammered.
>Star came to Marco's aide after hearing him make his "impossible" sounds.
>"Marco, what's going on?" Star asked.
>Marco handed her the phone, pics were coming in faster from a lot of kids. Marco said nothing as Star began to look through them.
>Spade was in a lot of them, everyone seemed to be wanting to take selfies with her as if she's some celebrity.
>"I don't-" Star began.
>"Yeah I know right? She's only been gone an hour and thats freakin Imagine Dragons playing in the background" Marco added.
>"That's stupid,I could have gotten real dragons" said a flustered Star.
>"This is nuts, I never should stopped her! I don't know how but I just know this was all her!"
>Marco shook his head. "Why aren't we invited?"
>Star had more pressing issues at hand then to wonder about that.
>She scrolled through more photos and then dropped the phone in shock.
>Marco tried to pick it up but Star stopped him
>"Marco, turn off the phone....don't look"
>"C'mon Star whatever it is I can deal with it"
>Star handed the phone over..."I'm so sorry" she told him.
>"Sorry for wha..."
>On his screen was a photo of Jackie making out with that Blake guy, Spade was to the side giving her a thumbs up.
>Star patted Marco's shoulder, he looked like he was about to cry.
>"Um, so how'd you get all cut up?" Hope quickly changed the subject.
>"Oh, I just got jumped by some monsters on my way home. They were looking for Star and got violent when I told them she wasn't with me."
>Marco brought up his arm and rolled up his sleeve so that he could flex his arm.
>"Those guys were lightweights though. I just got all these cuts from rolling on the ground." He lied, not wanting to further sadden Hope's mood.
>Hope gave him an impressed whistle and a small smile.
>"Wow, I never pegged you as such a tough guy Safe Kid."
>"That's cuse I'm misunderstood! I'm a baaad boy, getting into fights on the streets and taking no smack from no one."
>Marco goofily waved his arms around, trying to imitate the gestures of many a rap artist.
>Hope laughed at Marco's joke and the sound of it brought a bright smile to his face.
I can't help but be reminded of that one old robotnik picture.
It's inter-dimensional field trip all over again! I'm glad you like it
>A few minutes passed as Hope patched up the rest of Marco's cuts.
>She still apologized each time Marco hissed in pain.
>Eventually it came to one last cut, but when hope reached for another bandage from Marco's fanny pack. She found that there was none left.
>"Shoot Marco, your out of bandages."
>"Oh, uh. That's alright Hope, it's not that bad of a cut anyways. It doesn't hurt so it won't bother me."
>While it was true that the last cut wasn't very painful. It did indeed bother Marco to leave an open wound exposed to all sorts of germs, viruses, and infections.
>But Marco decided to keep up the tough guy act. No need for the safe kid stuff now, he'd just apply a whole jar of anti-infectent on the cut when he got home.
>Just to be safe.
>"Nope! I'll have none of that, here."
>Quickly, Hope rummaged around in her purse. Digging through all her cosmetic supply's until she finally found her prize.
>You gotta break a few eggs to make an omelet, or something...bare with me. Hope you guys are liking thegreen so far.
Aww, the safe boy meets the safe girl. I love it.
Not gonna lie, first time I've not been too hot on an update, feels overly forced for convenience sake. But I still appreciate the content and the effort you put in WF.
Cute so far, remember to pop it on your pastebin as there will inevitably be a fan of Hope down the line desperate for something.
>Hope pulled out a small pink band-aid with cutesy cats images from her purse and removed the plastic back.
>Before she placed it on Marco's cut however, she planted a quick kiss on the band-aid and with that, she put it over Marco's cut.
>Marco felt his cheeks get warmer at Hope's sudden action and he stared at her as she simply tilted her head to the side and gave him a bright smile.
>"Kisses make the pain go away." Was her simple explanation.
>Marco could feel his face getting hot from how intense he was blushing.
>" 'ahem' T-thanks Hope. The band-aid is a little girly, but really, your too kind."
>Hope continued to smile warmly as Marco finally sat up and dusted off his clothes.
>"Welp, It's getting late and we should be getting home soon."
>Hope's smile went away from hearing the word home.
>"Yea... I guess so."
>"Why don't I walk you to your apartment-"
>No! N-no, it's okay Marco. I'll walk by myself."
>Marco wanted to protest, but thought better of of it. He figured Hope had her reasons.
>Luckily, Hope smiled again and Marco's mood brightend at the sight.
>His blushed returned however when he felt Hope place her hand on his chest.
>"Your sweet for asking, Thank you Marco."
>Marco could swear his face was as red as his hoodie.
>"I should thank you, but well yea, if you need anything. 'Uh' just give me a call."
>Quicky, Marco walked off before he could get any redder, but he waved back to Hope and gave her smile.
>Hope waved back and gave Marco one last smile as well.
>Hope watched Marco walk off and when he was gone from sight, Hope's smile grew even wider as she began to giggle.
>She bit the nail of her little finger and bounced lightly on her feet as she pulled out her phone and quickly dialed a number.
>"Hello, Janna? Girl you are sooo gonna hate me for what I'm about to tell you!"
Oh man that was great, finally some happy mope. Thanks HB.
In my defense, it is a green. I have to cut out a lot of stuff and ya know "get to the point" faster. If it was a proper fic I would very much go deeper with the details and all that.
Haha, I love it. The line work is clear with lotsa character.
Cartoon-y proportions have always thrown me off to the point where I end up 'chickening out' from drawing a lot of fanart in the past. Once I got certain recognizable elements of the characters down and applied it to my style, things became smoother. Speaking from personal experience. I can sort of see the preference for accuracy, and the arguments against it.
I tend to prefer the latter because I find more enjoyment in seeing alternate takes on the same character. The newer Astra hits a nice balance of looking like the 'star clone' that she is, and your own personal flair.
Aaw bonding over first-aid skills. The tiny medical work was a clever way of sliding into the darker issues.
Yes, as shown in previous work they're both very hug happy.
Ah geez, that one could get really intense depending on how it's played. Thanks for the suggestion/idea
Also like how Spade is appealing to others using comparatively mundane things opposed to Star's usual 'gifts'. A band may not be fantastical, but at least they won't eat or burn you like a real dragon would. Thanks for the bonus green WF
Damn this is cute, it's sweet when kind characters basically go into that 'putting the other person before myself' tango. I loved how you worked in the 'misunderstood badboy' as a means for Marco to undersell his injuries for Hope's sake. While Hope stayed insistent on making sure Marco was 'fully healed'. That last bandage scene was adorable. The ending had a slight gloomy feel, but I was glad it ended on a happy note, and a slight schadenfreude flavored hilarity with the last line. (Poor Janna haha.)
I'm glad you liked it WriteFriend. I'm dedicating this small story to you on my pastebin and it'll always be there for you to enjoy.
Thank you, I wanted to make sure to include the somber and light hearted feel that Mope has come to be known for. I also wanted to add a little cuteness here and there to pick up the mood, so all in all I'm glad you liked it.
There's a distinct lack of manna in this thread, gonna attempt a green text
>You are Marco Diaz
>Currently you are glaring at Ferguson as he rummages through his backpack
>"Sorry dude, I don't know what happened to the key. Maybe I left it in my locker, let me go check." He said before jogging out of the mostly empty classroom.
>Great, just great, this is the last time you let Ferguson convince you to try out a magic trick
>You look down at the shiny metal handcuff shackled to your left wrist
>A handcuff your friend has lost the key to
>Least things can't get any worse you think to yourself as you turn your gaze to the door hoping to see your buddy return with key in hand
>Oh no, what was that?
>You look down to see a hand now cuffed next to yours, slowly you follow the arm up to lock eyes with the last person you wanted to see chained to you
>"Sup, Marco? Sweet cuffs, didn't know you were into the kinky stuff." Janna says wiggling her eye brows at you
Anyone interested in more, hop in if you like
So this is basically Starfan hypnotized into thinking she's Star right?
i am nigga, an episode where star magically chains marco to someone could be pretty cool.
And I will treasure it always, thanks again.
It's almost midnight where I am, I best be going to bed soon, I work tomorrow. As always it's been fun, if all goes well I'll see you guys next week where I will be back with more chapters of that anti-star/spade green.
Unless it's so shit you all want me to stop, so I will
Anywho, goodnight everyone, take care of yourselves.
That was a cute little story! thanks HB! rest well, see you next weekend.
which hopefully will be the weekend of Mope
I really love your artstyle and I always notice how you try to add details from the original design to your own, so despite your art being very distinct is still instantly relatable to the original source.
I wish I had 1/10 of your talent drawsis!
Rest well, WF! I will see you next weekend and I look forward a lot to more spade green.
Oh goshdarn it... why I had to learn this in /sveg/ of all places? ;_;
>Janna just smirks at you leaning her head in her free hand "Yeah?"
>Janna just smirks at you, "Take it easy Diaz, is this your first time trying out this stuff? Don't worry, I be gentle."
>Great, you have been chained to her for less than a minute and already she is starting to mess with you
>She leans in and whisper to you "The safe word is Apple." she adds with a wink
>"We need to find Ferg, now." You say hoping up from the desk and dragging her with you.
>"Whoa, I didn't think you'd take charge so fast." Janna teases almost stumbling trying
keep pace with you
>Just tune her out Marco, you need to find Ferguson and get out of this mess
>This can only end badly, you just hope nobody sees you. Least of all...
>"Whoa Janna, digging the new accesory."
>Jackie Lyn Thomas
>"I know right, it's so cute I think I'll keep him." Janna smirks wrapping her arm around your shoulder making your own hand come up and smack yourself in the face
>You must be in hell
Just looking for a reason to post this. Didn't have to look long.
Also, thick eyebrowed Jackie; good taste nigga.
Got it all down for the Mope story. Did I miss anything in it? Do you want a image of Mope to go with it?
Time's a funny thing that way.
Uuuh, thread leftovers! Hi, /sveg/!
BTW, I gotta do lots of catch-up, because yesterday I missed most of the thread while writing the green.
Speaking of which:
Thanks for the compliments, Anons! Glad you liked my green!
YYYEEESSS! Thank you Ama: you're really AWESOME! Appreciated, saved, tattooed.
Yep. I still like to think he's lurking, or posting here anonymously — but I'd like if he just said hi to us once in a while…
RIP David Bowie.
>Haha, I love it. The line work is clear with lotsa character
you haven't seen my hand drawn stuff
I get so worked up trying to make it all nice and pretty I overdo the entire drawing and makeit a mess :'^)
That would explain her behavior around Marco.
