Haven't seen one in a while lads
DOFUS MOVIE SOON
>dat awkward moment when you read up on Dathura's past and her sister was
raped by a drunken Iop, spent time in a sickbed afterwards, got a demon-god baby, was ostracized by her father/lover, Sadida, and killed Dathura, literally breaking her heart, regretting it later and then joining The Siblings to get even with the gods
I wonder if any of that will come up in Season 3? :P
Also, contributing Mofette. A character that ISN'T a god, for once in this franchise.
From Xa's deleted deviant art comment he said they were working with Netflix, I don't think the official announcement said with whom they were working
>DOFUS MOVIE SOON
Literally less than a month, get hype. I hope this brings in an influx of new viewers to the show, the threads might return with better quality if we get a bunch of new people curious to the material
Oh my, so much ducking will need to be done.
You know, that is a good question actually. Where is that comic.
Fuck you ankama.
Speaking of comics, I believe this is going to be released to coincide with the film but I can't remember off the top of my head if that's actually true
Probably. I'd be happy finding a physical release of the ones they just released. Some anon said he stumbled upon it in some comic shop but I dont have any of those remotely near me and I haven't found any store online.
Granted I'm not sure where to look and some seem to be rather unclear if it's digital or physical copies they are selling
3 interviews with the movie directors and some new scenes.
sorry for my english.
Do you guys think that Dofus will be the future for Ankama, rather than Wakfu? As much as I love Dofus I really do prefer the action adventure serial tone of Wakfu, would be sad to see it take a back seat
This. The time period ultimately doesn't matter much in itself in the grand scheme of things though. The tone in thedofus series is not set in stone with the use of the era either.
But between the two shows I enjoyed the adventures of wakfu a bit more.
I agree and I think that will be Dofus but Tot did state that they take on projects that make them a loss because they like them (see para 3 here)
However despite that they must face the reality of keeping their company above and I think Dofus is a lot more marketable to TV stations, so I consider us lucky to have a 3rd season at all
Don't worry about it man your English is perfectly fine, no need to apologise - if anything we should thank you for making a big effort to speak in something other than your native language
Ankama's crowd shots, #1 worldwide provider of single frame waifus never to be seen again
The over-the-eye bang and the way her hair swoops outward toward the bottom would suggest she is.
But who is that Osamodas lady? From her position in the pic to the right (going entirely from memory) they're at the meeting of the leaders of the World of Twelve but clearly she is not the leader of the Osamodas race, rather at someone's side.
So presumably she's an important figure but not a top figure, perhaps a daughter of the ruler of the Osamodas people?
Or I have entirely the wrong scenario, I can't really remember well
I was going to say princess (which daughter of the ruler kinda connotates anyway) but what would she be doing with Amalia? The Osamodas seem like an unlikely people to get intertwined with the Sadida princess compared to the Cra people for example
So, i own a physical copy of pic related, is there a team translating the comics ?
You're welcome mon ami, try to seed it if possible to help others out!
My new NAS shall be christened with the blood of dead shushus
Elaine is awesome, a young aspiring pirate girl who is full of bravado but when shit truly hits the fan (S2 finale) she isn't anywhere to be seen
Would like to see an aged up fully fledged pirate Elaine but Ankama already gave us their idea of a 20-year-old Elaine in the OVAs
I want to sheath my shush in juliths sash if you catch my drift
>yfw Ankama reveal Elaine is an Eliatrope to explain her not maturing at all in the 7 year time gap between S2 and the OVAs, like Yugo
But that's Simone mon ami
Eh same VA, close enough
>Tot pulls this one straight out of his ass just to give Yugo someone to ship with
Me on the left
Maybe the King realized once Qilby was a fake and Yugo too young and his race would not emerge any time soon, the Osamodas would ally with the strongest nation, Sadida? Tot mentioned Game of Thrones in the type of long-running fantasy soap opera story he hopes Wakfu will become. This might mean this princess (notice the outline of a tiara) is the Margaery Tyrell of the family, out to win someone important and gain power for the Osamodas.
Yugo and Elaine are superior to Yugo and Amalia
Either way the man is torn between brown girls, what a life
ur a qt
>Marrying a girl who knows how to tie you up
Yugo, you're playing with fire.
>Lost descendant of the Eliatropes
>Yugo gets to introduce her to her new culture
>Gets to help her through weird Eliatrope phases like shooting portals or growing laser head wings
>This might mean this princess (notice the outline of a tiara) is the Margaery Tyrell of the family
Oh god yes, my smirkfu
But I've always been interested in the political implications of clearly the strongest race, the Eliatropes, being from the outset aligned with the Sadida people. The other races, particularly those typically seen as devious such as the Srams, Xelors etc., must be worried about such a blatent power shift in the World of Twelve
However they don't need to go full Game of Thrones, this is a French kids show lest we forget
Plus, with gender-change potions, an heir can be produced.
You are both misguided and specie-ist. She's a beautiful squid pirate, of a proud lineage that includes non other than the famous Black Ink, and has already reached mature growth at the time of season 2, which explains why she hasn't grown by the time of the OVAs.
>Tot mentioned Game of Thrones in the type of long-running fantasy soap opera story he hopes Wakfu will become
That actually never happened. The reference he made was Harry Potter, with his intention of having the tone of the show mature alongside its audience
I wonder the true implications of these
Yeah I get it wasn't a literal comparison but I do welcome a bit more of that side of things, just not too much
The biggest army of any race would do fuck all against Qilby alone, let alone the to be trained children of Emrub. It's in everyone's interests to be aligned with the Eliatropes either directly or vicariously through the Sadidas, which is a theory I like about that Osamodas princess
Problem is, even high-ranking people like Prince Armand barely believes the Eliatrope race even exists.
And the Prince of Brakmar brought up a lot of conjectures for why the majority of power-brokers shouldn't even bother with them if they do exist. All that meeting ended up doing was portray the potential Eliatrope immigration as a too expensive to pay off. Even in the OVAs, no one bothers to come to Sadida's aid, except the Brotherhood. Everyone else stayed away. And that was the most powerful people...
Maybe they'd be more inclined now that Ogrest is gone.
Well Yugo's had his
head wingssince birth, I think it'd be a bit strange if Elaine was suddenly revealed to be an Eliatropess
That's true, I think it's worth stating that the potential for the Eliatropes really can't be realised right now with most being infantile or dead and the remainder, Qilby, pretty damn crazy
There's also the internal schizms to deal with, currently Yugo and Adamai aren't on the best of terms (although that will surely get attention in S3) and then there's Phaeris and Qilby who aren't the best of friends so the Eliatropes aren't likely going to want to be involved in the World of Twelve's affairs until they sort out their own, bar Yugo who can't really separate himself from them at this point
For this and the issue of where do you house an entire race of people it's perhaps not worth dealing with the Eliatropes yet but there is already a bond being formed between them and the Sadidas which could prove fruitful down the line
The children of Emrub also have them if you recall but there's also the practical issue that revealing another Eliatrope (such as Chibi) means that they have to become central to the story in some manner or at least more than a fringe character, which Chibi was in S2 but I'd be surprised if he still is in S3
They only have 13 episodes in S3, they can't be throwing new characters in willy-nilly
Chibi has the classic Eliatrope hat for hiding them, I think it's fair to say he's got wakfu wings
Hey if it gives her a reason to interact more with Yugo and enter the storyline I'll take it
Slightly longer, but only 13 of them.
The team is dead, but there's a Spanish-speaking guy who is kinda still translating some of the scans on his own or something. I've also posted scans of Hyrkul at the team's meeting place if it ever reforms, so you don't have to bother.
I need to add Huppermages. Might do that tonight.
I'll post an update to this and the third one as well when I'm done.
Elaine is fantastic, and the comics add a lot of depth to her character.
>has already reached mature growth at the time of season 2, which explains why she hasn't grown by the time of the OVAs.
Actually she's still missing 4 tentacles! She has a conversation about this with Black Ink.
>She does wear a bandanna all the time.
Not in the comics.
So do I... but they didn't make enough sales to continue the series. Add it to the count of Ankama's cancelled projects.
Royal lines now open up to both genders, double the amount of princes and princesses can be married away and more alliances gained.
With magic like this, it's no wonder we have more open gay relationships by as early as the Dofus era.
They made it as a trilogy with a bit of a sense of closure at the end (or at least a happy to-be-continued ending), but it's very obvious that there's more to it. Essentially, the most pressing challenge (finding a ship and signing up for the tournament without getting killed by overpowered demon ships) is resolved, but the actual tournament, the whole plot with the demon ships, and everything else that's going on behind the scenes could easily use up another trilogy.
Well, I mean he did screw up with how much wakfu he thought he needed. That's something pretty wrong.
His biggest mistake was not telling his sob story to bleeding heart Yugo. Who would have happily helped him with the Eliacube if he had found out about Nox wanting to use it to save his family before realizing the full implications of it.
I thought her and noire were just okay in the show. Nothing special. Keep hearing their better in the comics.
They sort of represent how awkward and/or unsatisfying comic tie-ins mostly are in the show.
Honestly, for the little screen time they got they were good.
They just barely got any. They showed up, what, 3, 4 episodes before the grand finale hit full swing and they hid behind a boat for the entire fight?
I see a lot of wasted potential with her, honestly.
>They sort of represent how awkward and/or unsatisfying comic tie-ins mostly are in the show.
Remington certainly isn't the best execution of that, and I won't get into Maskemane and motherfucking Percimol.
Ush is probably the best integrated comic character, but being reincarnated also gives them some freedom in how they portrait him.
No idea. Probably not. The visuals are nice, though.
Was the wakfu manga set after S2 completed? I have the volumes I got from the kickstarter but I don't remember that being the end. I also don't remember my info for that site they used to distribute it.
How is the latino dub of Wakfu? Is it worth watching?
>Followers' appearance adapts to match that of their god
Wrong. The archetype is different from the god's appearance, sometimes vastly so.
It's still in progress, but with less than one volume released per year, it's slow going.
This should do, I think.
This one needs to be compressed.
As always, let me know if something's wrong or needs to be added.
>Dub made by Spain
Better just wait for the mexican/venezuelan dub
Yes, both Netflix and France3 are funding this season. The budget is 3.3 million euros (season 1 was 9 million, season 2 was 6.5 millions. But after all, this is 23 episodes)
The guy working on the backgrounds probably worked on Wakfu and fucked up.
But as an excuse, since you can create a blue osamodas in Dofus there can very well be blue osamodas in the animated series too.
Well, the ones they use for Krosmaga will probably last for a while. They'll want to change it from time to time for sure though, and the Dofus manga's Iop already isn't the same as the Krosmaga one.
I wonder how Sacrier will look in this game.
A winged woman for sure, maybe with some chains or something.
The osamodas design will probably look more like the new Sphynx-like one. It's a shame, I really liked the old horned one.
I don't particularly dislike the sphynx but the classic is not wrong. But I'd prefer sacrier to have arms unlike the statues, which she should have according to other appearances and depictions.
The blurays have french subs.
It's from the upcoming tablet/PC game Krosmaga. It's kind of a mix between Hearthstone and Plants vs. Zombies. It'll also have a physical version (and collectible cards), and a kickstarter.
In the game, you choose a god and use the cards to fight against other gods.
Perhaps they wanted something more regal and divine as opposed to the more carefree and non serious (in comparison at least) look that Bill Otomo prototyped.
But it was a cute look as well.
I liked the carefree look, the idea of one of the Gods just being a complete goof is great
Do you mean Goultard or
Pinpin? Because Goultard is the least Iop-ish Iop, yeah he likes to feast and fight but he's actually pretty wise
If the latter,
he gave up his godhood for a life with Eva
Plus it doesn't follow that they wouldn't complement one another, maybe they'd be the unlikely close duo
like Pinpin and Eva!
If anyone understands the MMO, how do I into Xelor?
There's one pretty lady who'll always stand out.
and no, not because she's a cat woman
Pic related is the depictions of the gods in the recent Guide du Krosmoz book. Last row being Eliatrope (with two different but equally unoriginal designs) and the Great Dragon.
Design research for Krosmaga.
Oh right, well in fairness back before Ogrest's Chaos most of the gods seem to like fucking around, metaphorically and literally, especially in the very early days of the World of Twelve
Seems like Ogrest ruined everyone's fun
>Continuing to avoid admitting Netflix is involved
it is, it's offensive and defensive capabilities sucked last time i played the game. iops and sacrier were the two main close range heavy hitters and everything else was support or long range damage.
xelor fit into mid range support with some medium level damage capabilities.
i guess a better description would be half support half offense but really they are pretty crappy in game
it was an area effect hitter much like a mage and provided support damage, but it's damage sucked ass when i played the beta, maybe they boosted the damage since then but yes no one wanted you in their party if you were a xelor at that time sucked
One character I wouldn't mind being either way, desu. So far, most god-appearances seem to have them be superhero-esque and all the mystical stuff is reduced to indirect power through spells and aspects of nature.
At least there is Freezz.
Oh yeah, well I guess there is more ground for claiming he has a canon look as well then. But even so, it's unclear, and maybe we just have to accept that their appearance, like their size, can be fleeting.
Vive la France!
>quality of a 50kb jpg
lrn 2 image optimization Anon, Jesus.
Yes, slowpoke, it's been known for half a year.
Tot answered some questions at the Dofus Days today. I haven't seen anything about it yet, except this tweet: https://twitter.com/Edroquette/status/686182859997077504
>We'd like to implement Ouginaks this year with a game mechanic based around tracking
That'd be pretty interesting. I'd rather they did it for 2017 though, we're having way too many classes in a row right now.
It's where we get stuff to speculate on like pic related:
What do you think a first date with General Mofette would be like?
>someone else remembers the days of the loading striptease
From the Dofus MMO site: http://www.dofus.com/en/mmorpg/news/announcements/450200-kwismas-february
>For players living outside of France, the film will hopefully be coming soon to cinemas in your country (and if you think it's taking too long, don't hesitate to organize sit-ins in front of cinemas near you ^^).
IT'S HAPPENING. Hopefully there'll be cinemas playing it with subs, but I quite doubt that.
Things like classes are always in both games.
I don't think they ever said that seriously, just as an excuse as to why they haven't appeared in Wakfu. They could easily say that "a new area has appeared, and the Ouginaks were there!" as they tend to do anyway.
Yes, and also many of them were separated from the rest after the flood, only to be discovered again later. It's the same thing they say every time they make a new island, and each has its own mobs. The Ouginaks may have perished, but if Ankama wanted to bring them back, they could easily do it.
If you want insane nuking damage you can go Air/Fire and choose some BnBs like Hydrant/Dust for crazy AOE damage or Aging/Hand for Single Target damage.
If you want AP shenanigans you can go Air/Water, though it's not as damaging as the former.
Or you can be Tri but Tri gear is kinda a pain to get, they really start coming into play at higher levels like 120 or so considering drops/loot, or earlier if you dare go into crafting them. With tri you can get into a rhythm as Tick and Tock turns play into Fire and Water respectively, so you can get tons of damage on Tick then remove AP on Tock, rinse and repeat.
>/wkg/ is still dead in /vg/
she's a spooky ghost
First half only rest are upscales :3
>Khan Karkass? That's a cheesy name but it must be someone important if his name is on fishing pole belonging to Joris.
>Oh... he's a just a bouffbawler
>Who's an iop.
>Yeah, haven't seen anything like that before
So is/was there another head writer next to Tot? I forgot his name but he worked on another cartoon, who's name i also totally forgot, that parodied 70's cop shows/films.
Water/Fire has the worst syngery. Air adds additional damage and properties onto Fire and Water when used properly (Air/Fire on Tick, Air/Water on Tock) and also is a loose utility branch (teleporting stuff). There's also Punishment which I highly recommend taking because it's an extremely damaging Air spell that only real requirement is to cast on your hours for full damage.
As fot stat distribution give me a moment to breakdown each category, also helps if you tell me what build you want (Air/Fire, Tri, etc.)
Well he's inept at intimate relationships at least.
I'd like to think there is more to a character than their race but yeah, it is what it is. I don't mind the boufbowl bit myself.
Speaking of air: Didn't they nerf Distortion recently?
Always put the 10 points into maxing Resistance, following that just dump into % HP.
I'd say just dump points into general Damage, there are theorycrafting about the secondary damage such as Range Damage potentially adding into more damage, but the exact stat distro is unknown as to when it's really effective, also depending on what kind of Xelor you are you'll be using multiple damage types (AOE, Single Target, Range) so just stick with general Damage.
I'd say max out Initiative first. Then Dodge now. I would say before to level AP removal if you used Water spells at all but since now all Water spells have a 100% chance to remove AP it's pointless, and noticing this now I really need to restat my Xelorette.
I'd say level Critical Hit and Critical Damage evenly, though try to max out Crit Hit first.
For my Xelor I went with AP, MP, and Range.
Yup, you can no longer stack tons of it to make it a anywhere Punishment, only 2x now
Clearly Yugo a shit. Amalia is for niceness, not abandoning for years.
Having a boring life isn't all that different than no life.
Enjoy your bad tastes I guess, you have an entire board with bad tastes just like you, so you're among friends here. I'm not your friend though.
Alright, I think I'm finally getting the hang of it. Thanks.
Anything with her hair up (minus the OVA), anytime she smirks and this: mixing a cocktail in a bath.
You know the one. With the red dust and the duck.
It is, they also released the nude model sheets for Eva and Amalia. Who knows what they're keeping hidden from us
>implying she did already try
>Nobody here plays Wakfu anyways, let alone watch or read it.
>was playing it earlier
>finished watching season 2 before that
>bought Shak Shaka from a comic store long before that
Get on my rather low level.
I played a bit of it yesterday for the first time. Is it possible to turn off helmets like in some other MMOs? Because my first thought was "wow, these character designs are great" and then they fucking gave me a dead rat to cover my head with before I even reincarnated. Not gonna lie, that was kind of disappointing.
You get costumes, and then there are emblems that give you a special look based off your class, but, for now, you're going to have to wear that dead rat with pride until you get or make better equipment.
Some storyboard shots because Tumblr is good about finding this shit.
I can't tell if it's just sketchy, but Eva looks fatter or pregnant again to me.
Well, there's a "naked" costume that makes all gear invisible. You'd have to buy it thoug (or wait until Ankama fucks up again and has another 3 month rollback like with the spanish server)
The blurays are on BTN.
I guess it's only in the French shop. I don't know how to check the shop for the French version of the game, but I looked it up and the only thing I could find about it is that it's a jackpot reward in some mystery box. I would have been willing to pay a few bucks for it, but that's bullshit.
Postan my wallpaper again for shits and giggles.
Thinking of making a new one to go with the Dofus movie or Wakfu S3 or otherwise revamp the current layout. Any ideas or suggestions?
welll Id consider myself a mediocre artist and I can charge 50 bucks for a picture, I know someone who managed to get 200 bucks for a single picture he finished in like half an hour during a stream auction and he isnt on Ankama's level either.
Considering she gained the power to eat the image of Cleophee I was going to post, she deserves this one.
It's a largely mindless game that mostly plays itself based on grind and positioning. So par for the course of mobile games, I got fair hours out of it I guess.
But that is commissions which works for artists but not a company like Ankama. Do you think they will make the money back for the cost of animating a bunch of 5 min porn animations that will get pirated to hell and back? I don't see them making any money off of making porn.
Read the guide. >>78839941
It's a french show originally, and they scrimped on the dub.
Nah, I strongly prefer subs to dubs, except in the rare occasions where the dub is either radically different or generally considered to be good. (Ghost Stories on the former, and Cowboy Bebop on the latter come to mind)
The English dub for Wakfu is notoriously poor with the VAs seemingly having little context for their lines or just not really putting their heart into it, although I'm not sure whether Netflix uses dubtitles
ifiak, Netflix uses official dubtitles. I'd recommend the SD fansub release. The blu-ray edition is retimed to conform to the nearest framerate standard, so everything is pitched down ever so slightly.
I mean it's people's choice whether or not they want to support Ankama but I shill the fuck out of them so
Speaking of supporting Ankama, anyone know how we can pre-order the movie Blu-Rays? Is that French only or?
Cra looks like Cleophée. Should we be worried?
"Ad agency: We've been conducting market research and it appears the younger elf girl is more relatable and attractive compared to the rest of the cast"
"Tot: okay she's a God now canonically. It's settled."
>all this talk about cras, tree people, and insane generals being best girl
But that's really not any of my business
I mean really those are the best so what do you expect?
but only to impregnate and ditch afterwards.
will keep on waiting till the faithful day they will be released on open-trackers or mega links
really wished i could contribute but port-locked dorms connection is a no-go for torrents, as for the season BDs downloaded them 5h at a time going to my hometown (different my actual) university (and yes i don't have internet at home)
I don't think that's Dark Vlad, he's never had a flying skull as a head. Plus, Dark Vlad has 50% of Goutlard's power. And if he already was powerful in Dofus, now he also gets Iop God powers and the six primordial Dofus.
You monster! You started of so well and then you burnt it to the ground.
I just remembered this screen.
The reactions to being told he's a woman are hilarious. Especially from his kids
He doesn't have the six primordial Dofuses. Those have been taken back by their respective dragons at the end of the OVAs.
Goultard watches over the Eliatrope Dofuses, which are notable for being only useable by Eliatrope folks (or their dragon siblings).
So there's no risk of him abusing their power, and he's also a pretty good and powerful guardian.
Oh, indeed, I was recalling wrong. It's been over a year after all.
Still, Dark Vlad would be way too strong for them (unless Joris joins them) and the skull still hasn't ever been part of any of Dark Vlad's design, so I don't think that'll be him.
I'd abort the baby.
You know, with potions.
Sram has the cutest demi-god kid though.
>Elely not cutest
Well that's just objectively wrong.
How coincidental, the first Wakfu thread in a while aligns with me finishing the first fic I've written in a while! For those that don't know, I write Wakfu smut. If you find that the most autistic shit ever I hope this image makes this post still worthwhile to you, otherwise for those who are interested:
Based off Season 2 Episode 16, The Cursed Fountain, when Alia asks for help regarding her husband-to-be Bordegann Evangelyne realises that the greatest pleasure comes from helping others.

You forgot to post her m8, but don't worry i got your back.
Where am I, tumblr?
Fuck off and actually acquire some skill and talent. Literally any retard monkey on a typewriter can write porn fanfics. Nobody should be proud of being a porn writer, that basically means you've accepted you're a failure that has given up on life and know you're not capable of real talent.
How do the Sufokians manage to get such a generously chested Navy?
Theirs is... the superior... chest.
